Unpopular SU opinion:

I like how Steven has been acting.

Yes, he can be controlling and annoying at times. But, you know what?

Of course he's controlling, he's spent his entire life helping people and sees his only purpose as being a problem solver.

And being a usual teen, he's struggling with the idea of both wanting to be treated like an adult, but struggling to accept change.

And with all the trauma this kid has been through, and now he won't talk to anyone about his problems, of course he's becoming angrier.

I like that SUF is bringing the spotlight to Steven's mental state, and having a pretty realistic interpretation of how someone could act in this scenario. The last two episodes hit close to home for a lot of people, including me.

Unfortunately, people with mental illnesses and trauma don't always act perfectly. Tumblr seems to love glorifying it, but it's 100% realistic for a mentally ill character to do or say something harmful, whether it be towards themselves or others. And this doesn't just go for Steven, not even for just SU characters. Just a reminder.

2020’s gonna be a hella good year

God I’m just thinking about how awesome this movie could have been if they had let Kylo be the villain he was supposed to be. If they had let Finn be the hero he was supposed to be.

Hear me out. Finn and Rey could have been the ones with the force bond, which would have been a perfect way to delve more into Finn being force sensitive. Scrap the Palpatine shit completely and allow Rey’s parents to actually be “nobody,” which was always a cool fucking idea. You don’t need a family legacy to be a hero.

The final showdown would be Finn and Rey against Kylo. Imagine that lightsaber pass with Finn. Think the snow scene in TFA but leveled up. The power that would have had. They use their force bond to defeat Kylo. They hardcore makeout. The last two scenes can stay basically the same. The end.
