“Where do I begin…”
praisethenothlrealm
"Strange incriminating images have been surfacing as of late, it seems," Huskar groaned.
"Whatever people have to say, I shall promptly deny."
Jah'rakal's pretty passionate about being an asshole, does that make him attractive? He's also a really skilled warrior, you yourself have admitted this.
Huskar merely laughed.
He took deep breaths, echoing chuckles and holding his face while he laughed and laughed.
“Ahh,” Huskar calmed down, “You are quite funny, gray mage.”
“Why not?” Huskar threw his hands up in the air, “Jah’rakal is absolutely a passionate asshole. Do I find him attractive for that?”
He stopped, making a face. Somehow he could not bring himself to answer that.
What do trolls consider attractive in another troll? Is it more physical or more in how one carries their self and their accomplishments?
“Hmm,” Huskar squinted, unsure of an answer. He had never once thought about attractive trolls until recently, finally realizing that such could be an option. Romance was never his concern until now.
“I do not know about the other trolls,” Huskar mused, “But I think it is not only how skillful they are as a warrior, but how dutiful they are to their actions.”
“If they reflect their passion in their work, I can relate.. and perhaps that would count as attractive? I still do not know…”
“Excuse me, I think you dropped this.” - praisethenothlrealm
“Hm?”, Aggron grunted simultaneously as Huskar handed their teleportation scroll they bought awhile ago. Worried, the ogres checked their belongings to find that was the only thing missing and took it from the Warrior back where it belonged. “Gee, thanks.”
“You’re a bit nicer that you look.”, Aggron’s rougher head said flatly.
praisethenothlrealm
“Right. we’ll keep that in mind. As much as we can anyway.”, the ogre chuckled as Huskar was being friendly. Talking let Aggron see that the three of them were too different from each other. It wasn’t much, but fire and rage flowed through two men while not tainting their spirits. A worthy feat considering what they deal with daily, if not hourly. The oafs didn’t want to let this moment of bonding to go to waste. “But here’s a thought–”
“Feh. New for you.”, Aggron’s rougher head commented.
The other head made a childish face to his conjoined brother and continued. “Whensoever you battle next, feel free to call us over. If we get along this well, imagine what we could do fighting together.”, the oafs chortled heartily.
Huskar smiled warmly at the short exchange between the heads. Aggron was certainly a very curious being, and the sacred warrior felt blessed to be around such a jovial person.
“I would of course welcome you at my side. It would certainly make my jumping in easier!” He nodded towards the knapsacks Aggron wore, “Keep hold of that scroll my friend, and we shall be at ease with the thought of a reunion.”
“Perhaps we can also share tactics,” Huskar tossed his spear in the air, and with a quick splash of red, the spear point lit up with flames. The warrior spun it once, and grinned, “How interesting would it be to see your blood-lusted club be ignited with blood-fire.”
“T-tactics?”
Much to Aggron’s dismay, most of their battling involved burning and clubbing anything in sight. To say there was anything deep thought behind how they fought was a blatant lie, but they felt they had to say something because Huskar found them more than favorable which is more than he could say about others. An idea came to them when merging abilities was brought up. “Oh, yeah. You’d like with your spear throwing, wouldn’t ya?”
“Well, we’ll be sure to make you all bloodlusty when you feel like throwing your life away.”, Aggron said, but shortly after their comment they squinted. ”Uh, literally. I guess”, a weak chuckle was had at the misplaced joke.
“Oh, please do not feel pressured,” Huskar assured the Ogres, setting down his weapon, “I am merely suggesting. Perhaps just a simple walk in the forest someday shall suffice, hm?”
Huskar chuckled at the jest made towards him. At this point it was common knowledge of Huskar’s battle preferences, and he himself found it entertaining.
“I will wholesomely welcome you at my side, Aggron,” He beamed, “And maybe I would not need to throw my life away with you around.”
"O, Sir Huskar! It has been a while. How have you fared?"
“Ah, Rahovart my friend!” Huskar announced heartily, “I am quite alright, as things are.”
“Small trivial details are stuck in my mind however,” He mused, starting to fidget with a few taps of his foot and scratches to his hair, “I see many relationships blooming and yet I feel nothing. Your many words in the past on these sorts still whisper to me now…”
“But I have been blessed by luck!” The warrior beamed, holding up a golden helmet, radiating a strange aura, “Something fitting for my affinity for flames!”
“What of yourself?”
praisethenothlrealm
Rahovart leans into Sir Huskar’s gentle hand in his hair. Certainly, his hair is his weak point. “Well… I should not speak of what happened to Sir Nortrom, even more now that I understand his pain. However, I am almost… glad I did it, I suppose. I understand him that much more, and that is important to me, because I love Sir Nortrom very, very deeply. Though I understand he does not return those feelings.“
With a sigh, Rahovart draws closer, and wraps his arms around Sir Huskar’s chest, resting his head on him. “I suppose I am simply… I do not know.”
“Longing,” Huskar guessed, “Lost as to where you are in his life? Understanding is different than connecting, it would seem.”
“I cannot offer more than comfort, for it is Nortrom’s own will to see your worth,” He settled a hand around the mage, awkwardly returning the embrace, “Comfort like this, I imagine. Just a moment of peace.”
The warrior sighed softly, thinking of all the heroes and their troubles, much of which he had little comprehension of. It was never his will to expand out and learn about the squabbles, but Rahovart’s well-being was of concern. Perhaps…
No, Huskar did not want to meddle, especially if Rahovart felt the secrets important enough not to share. The sacred warrior gave a soft smile down to the mage, hoping for the best.
Slowly, Rahovart detaches himself from Sir Huskar. “Comfort is all I need, and all I can ask for. Thank you.“ He shakes it from his mind. “Aside, have you gotten stronger?! You look to have become more powerful somehow, yes! It does appeal. And, if you have not found anybody that appeals, it is better to take things as they happen, at your own speed.”
“Yes,” Huskar sighed, “Gray Mages, however, have been relentless on these things, pursuing with their questions. Ah, but this is typical behavior from them, hm?”
“Well, I was not aware of being ‘stronger’ lately,” Huskar looked at himself, flexing his arms as a test, “Perhaps I have indeed gained strength from my travels a while back.”
“A flattering one, aren't you? Haha!” He laughed heartedly. The warrior was in a good mood as of late, conversing with many others on trivial yet interesting matters, “Let us hope one day someone else shall share the same thoughts!”
"Spirit of Embers, flame, and fire," Huskar mused curiously, "Do my own fires attract your attention as the aspect of fire, or are we more different than alike?" -praisethenothlrealm
“I will not lie, your flames have indeed drawn me in. You and I are very much alike, both passionate, strong warriors that know the power of the flame.” He took a pause. “But we are different, in that something different lights our flames… what is it that sets you alight? Both in a metaphorical and physical sense.”
“Ah,” Huskar smiled warmly, “My fires ignite through sacrifice and blood, in the physical sense.”
“Or metaphorically, one may wonder,” Huskar looked at his hand, turning it over a few times, “Spiritually? Hmm.”
“The fires of my passion, however, are lit from myself attempting to find purpose in life. After all these sacrifices to my own Gods, I am left with nothing..”
“You are a Spirit, yes?” Huskar searched the burning eyes of the figure before him, “Have you ever wondered why you are here-what reason is it that you are placed in this land?”
Do you ever think that your stubbornness is the reason you're not in any romantic relationships? I'm sure if you gave it a try it wouldn't be so bad, not all of them would be great, but I'm sure you'll find someone that's perfect for you. *cough* Jah'rakal *cough*
The sacred warrior slumped over, covering his face with a deep sigh.
“You grey mages are relentless.” Taking a breath, he straightened his back pointedly and with a purpose.
“You may be right, strange one, perhaps it is my own stubbornness getting in the way of open feelings. I still have much to learn in these relationships.”
“But of all people, I highly doubt the Troll Warlord would feel the same way about myself,” Huskar grimaced, “Not that I should have any feelings towards him, I must clarify.”
“Yes. No feelings.”
Is there anything you find attractive about Jah'rakal
Huskar furrowed his brow, closing his eyes in thought and folding his arms together.
“Attractive and Jah’rakal do not mix well, in my mind,” He grumbled, “He is a competent warrior, but a stubborn and angry one. We shall leave it at that.”
You and Jah'rakal would make a cute couple just saying #red/blueshipping
Huskar groaned, putting a hand to his temples and rubbing the headache away."Both Jahrakal and I would heavily disagree, Grey Mage."
“THIS.”
“HAD BETTER NOT BE.”
“WHAT I THINK IT’S-”
“NO.”
“NO.”
“NO.”

“And I now find myself not surprised any more…”

Huskar headed towards the table, whispering to himself please please please no.
But the magic of the gray mages pressed him, pushing him over to hold up the book, and read a few sentences.
After a moments pause, Huskar put the book down, and waked over to the corner.
ff+ clockwerk
Facing yet another unfortunate run-in with yet another book, Huskar was hesitant to look within the covers. However, seeing the title “Clockwerk”, piqued interest.
“Ah, the metal keen. I am well aware of how skillful that warrior can be. Perhaps I can have a quick read.”
Huskar opened the book, reading a few sentences… before quietly setting it down. A look of trauma being expressed in his face.
“I had hoped not to imagine the metal keen to be so… fleshy…”
