The site of miracles | Sri Jalari Yoga Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple
"Sri Jalari Yoga Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy" temple is called the site of miracles and one of the less known but very prominent temples near Chikabalapur, Karnataka, India.
Sri Jalari Yoga Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy has a legend stating that the "Saptharishis" ("Seven Sages")performed penance for years together to please "Bhagavan Mahavishnu", who finally appeared in front of these "Saptharishis" in form of the lord "Sri Narasimha" post-death of Hiranaksha demon. He blessed them and promised to stay here along with "Sri Lakshmi".
"Saptharishis", after sighting the difficulty for common people to trek the hill, requested "Sri Lakshmi Narasimha" to bless devotees at the foot of the hill, which was accepted by "Bhagavan Narasimha". So he appeared as "Sri Bhoga Lakshmi Narasimha" on a hilltop and as "Jwala Yoga Lakshmi Narasimha" at foot of the hill.
Devotees are blessed by God and all the wishes of devotees who pray here with pure heart and soul are fulfilled. The specialty of this temple is flowers which are used for decorating God will be fresh and also the Diya been lit will be glowing until the temple is open again. The temple at the hilltop is opened rarely once in a week or two. The trek to the hill is around 3-4Kms. Steps are laid as well but they are not throughout. It is not recommended for Senior citizens or those who have problems in trekking to trek.
Temple priest is very kind enough and allows devotees to have a very close darshan of the deity. He also explains the history of the temple. The lamp lit on "Garudagambha" used to be visible in Kadiri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple, Kadiri, Andhra Pradesh, where procession used to happen after sighting the lamp. Now the Garudagambha is broken into three parts and one can see them lying down on the ground.
