nobody is going to understand this but... spies are forever in a kevin can fuck himself style au. When the focus is on Curt it's all spy movies tropes, badass explosions and sick hand to hand combat sequences, glamorous locations and intrigue, killing hyperstylized (heavily queercoded) bad guys without moral ambiguity. Visually it's like the bright, vibrant technicolor palette of early Bond films. Spy work as fantasy
And when the focus is on Owen it's like throwing up blood because he's been working with a broken rib for two days, brutally murdering some mild-mannered bureaucrat because he was ordered to, coups and blackmail and manipulation and coercion, with a dark, moody color palette like modern spy films, spy work as gritty reality
And the story switches back and forth in their perspectives, Curt setting up a classic spy caper that is supposed to resolve without too many long-lasting consequences, grinning the entire time, meanwhile Owen is basically collapsing in on himself due to the nature of the job

personally I think that if Max Casella was 24 while filming Newsies, Racetrack Higgins can be older than Jack Kelly

Ify is in an episode of Game Changer. Zach and Jiavani are in The Good Place. Anna is in the timeloop. Demi is in a Charlie Chaplin film but that film is also a Mario 64 speedrun. Hannah Pilkes is having the day she always has but in the backrooms, and Catherine McCafferty is of course in As Above So Below.
