I crush, a lot. I once told this to my cousin, that I'm like Big Pun, "I just crush a lot." He laughed, but knew I was serious. I had another cousin tell me, when we get older, that I was going to have the house with the pool, and possibly will be dating or have several boyfriends. I'm apparently going to be "Cool Aunt Ri".
After my recent break up, and listening to Bun B's Trill, I realized that I need to get back on my game. I'm too cute to be worrying about some idiot loser, who can't even be alone. I know a lot of ladies, like me get caught up in our own thoughts.
Let me just tell you, STOP IT! Get out of your head, and tell it to shut the hell up! I know we get down on ourselves, and it takes time to final realize that you probably didn't like him, her, them anyways. Of course love is blind! And sex doesn't help in making our vision any clearer, but after you do all the bullshit to try to get over it.. and you will, you get clarity.
The best thing for me, is to go back to having fun and meeting lots of guys and being adorable again! I need to get back to my "A" game, since I've been playing for the "B" team.. and I'm not about to bench myself!
I use to have men rolling in money, taking me to fancy dinners, flying me to different cities, and all that- but it's nothing like sharing a quiet meal together, and having some great passion. I've been burned so many times, and I'm sure I'll share one day- if you don't already know the stories. But, after all this bullshit, it doesn't deter me from believing that my amazing guy is out there somewhere. One day we'll meet.
Until then, I'm just going to crush A LOT.
