The previous Tshaik of Majul’ana known as the clans “people person” she was a brave, motherly soul. Who thought through wars for her clan. A hard strong leader. She grew of age which is why she is now stepped down from her position. Her legacy is not forgotten! Her name is peweü!
( ofc pose is referenced from scenes on avatar ! )
The Avatar fandom has a weird racism problem where people are attacking black and poc for having Navi ocs with darker toned and curly hair or attacking black and poc just for being in the fandom.. are we forgetting the Navi are inspired by mostly Africans, Native Americans, Pacific Islanders and many other indigenous groups??
Nattikay being anti black and talking like a klan member isn’t surprising since this fandom surprisingly attracts these individuals
No but seriously she had said some of the most deplorable shit
Nattikay’s Problematic History on Tumblr. Hello. This is an extensive callout for the user Nattikay (also known as @/featherkitti on Xwitt
Yeah, this is an insane problem. The fact that the Na’vi are inspired by so many amazing communities, and yet we burn their people out. Why??? I fucking love seeing their amazing designs and ocs bc they’re so uniquely tied to everything, and have so much depth to them, and yeah, sure, I’m jealous, but its in a way that I want more of that in my community, because it’s amazing to see! Because it brings such vibrancy to something I live for!
It’s pathetic and cowardly for a community with such inspirations for the source material as Avatar to be pushing out the very people it was designed from. And I hate it. You can’t fucking be an Avatar fan and be racist. Those two cannot and will not coexist.
And I’m glad people are stepping up to call it out. Bc I know for a fact that NOT A SINGLE AVATAR CHARACTER WOULD SUPPORT THIS BEHAVIOR. Not a single fucking one.
Oh, hell no! I'm not gonna follow a person like this anymore. Especially for someone that is in the Avatar fandom. I don't trust a person like this. Thanks for bringing this to attention!

The Veykx'u wear handcrafted parkas and loincloths to keep warm from the cold. Parkas are mostly made with well-kept wendigo hide to prevent the clothing from getting destroyed or worn down easily. The hoods of the parkas are often decorated with thick puffy fur to help keep snow away from their faces. Unlike their ruanas, parkas are not as colorfully decorated.
Ruana are worn over their parkas to act as an extra layer of insolation and are often decorated to distinct rank and role amongst the clan. Toddlers are often given bright vibrant bioluminescent ruanas, as soon as they could walk to keep track of them and not loose them in the snow and so that their ikran guardian can spot them, thanks to the bioluminescent dyes that are applied on the poncho. Veykx'u ruanas are heavily designed to handle extreme snowy climates
Because of the heat of the hot springs at Syawn'ftueywa during the earlier seasons, na'vi will mostly just wear their ruanas instead of parkas, while others just prefer to go bare chested. going bare chested also can work in their favor, since their skin can camouflage them in the snow.
Pendants and beads are used to decorate songcords. Songcords are either tied onto the bow of the individual, tied into the na'vi's hair/kuru, or some have decided to dedicate their ruana as their songcord, by building on the current designs that are on the ruana. Songcords aren't just limited to the snow na'vi, as soon as a woolly hammerhead calf is born, a songcord is immediately created. Once the calf's tusks start forming, the woolly hammerhead will be given their songcord, that will be tied to the the upper tusks of the hammerhead. As the tusks start to grow longer, the songcord will be twisted around the tusks. Some na'vi even decorate woolly hammerheads in bioluminescent paints and dyes to identify individuals in the herd.
The shaman wears a hooded ruana with fringes decorated around the end of the hood and ruana. Their ruanas are decorated with streams red coated with bioluminescent dye also with patterns that are coated in the same dye. They also carry a staff made out of bone that they can personally customize and add things, often to symbolize their time as shaman.
Any snow nav'i that identifies themselves as trans or non binary, will get a completely customizable accessory, that can be anything that the na'vi chooses. Such accessories can include; headdresses, necklaces, bracelets, hair attachments, armbands/guards, etc. These custom accessories are decorated with a feather to help identify the person's gender: Those that transition to male, have their feather(s) unedited, while people that transition to female, will have the feather(s) cut in half. If the person is nonbinary, they will have no feather, but instead, they can decorate their accessory with whatever they want.

Culture
The Veykx'u are well known for their hospitable nature, as they treat outsiders with great honor and respect as if they were old friends. As showing great hospitality is a value to the Veykx'u. They would usually pamper outsiders with gifts, food, and plenty of souvenirs. As well, the snow na'vi will often trade goods, readily share resources, including food, belongings, and knowledge, fostering a strong sense of community.
The Veykx'u will use whistles to communicate over great distances or during snowstorms where vision is limited. They show highly-skilled craftsmanship and artistry.
Family is very important for the Veykx'u and they always look after each other. Knowledge and traditions are passed down through stories, legends, and songs, emphasizing the importance of oral history.
Elders are highly respected and valued for their wisdom and experience. Elders ensure the continuity of culture and values of the clan.
The Veykx'u value social interaction and connection, with gatherings for storytelling, drum dancing, and other activities being common. Sharing food and celebrating together, often through community feasts, strengthens social bonds and keeps the community interconnected.
Beliefs
The Veykx'u believe that every living thing has two souls, so when a member of the clan dies, a part of their spirit will come back as a newborn, and the other part to be merged with Eywa. They believe in strong family bond and teamwork will help with the survival of the clan.
Despite having no interest in developing these clans at all, I felt it was important to have a small guide of who/what they are :)
This is the Ä'rios people of the North of Pandora! Also known as "Glacial na'vi" or "Ice cavern Na'vi", tho southern clans call them "The savages of the North"
This na'vi are heavily inspired by in real live colonizers and bad people, and are not meant to represent any real culture in particular, just like the Mangkwan. In fact, they share many traits with the ash na'vi! A worldview built on domination rather than harmony.
They're evil, they do not believe in Eywa, nor have any connection to her (nor any of her creations) but unlike the Ash na'vi, they do not a main interest in destroying everything, they want to expand their believe of "The Cold" into all na'vi, and if they show any resistance... they'll be silenced, conquered and erased.
The main clans of the Ä'rios are:
The Natxewns
The Virit'ons
The Az'burks (Almost obliterated by the Myuks'kyuvun clan)
The Varak'anza
The Farankos
More info below if you wanna read about them!
The Ä’rios live in the far Northern Glacial Canyons of Pandora, in ice caverns and subglacial tunnels. They do not keep a true living memory network like most clans do; at most, they rely on cold-carved records, ritual chants, and guarded “memory rites” rather than communion. Because of this, their beliefs are not centered around Eywa—they do not seek her guidance, and they reject the idea that connection is "sacred".
The Ä’rios clans have a cult-like structure, and their beliefs revolve around “The Cold” as a divine law. To them, the Cold is purity, strength, and truth: it hardens the worthy and breaks the weak. Obedience, endurance, and conquest are treated as spiritual duties, and mercy is seen as rot.
The Ä’rios believe they are the “Purest” Na’vi, set apart from the rest by the North itself. Many of them claim that other clans have been softened and tainted by warmth, emotion, and dependence on Eywa’s “crutches.” In their eyes, the world is meant to be taken and reshaped—proof that they were “chosen” by the Cold.
This makes the Ä’rios racist, xenophobic and expansionist when it comes to outsiders of any kind. They do not welcome strangers; they measure them.
They have very little contact with other Na’vi living outside their frozen territory, and they do not involve themselves in wider interclan politics unless it benefits their expansion. They see other na'vi as less, in the point of view, They're refined, sophisticated compared to the "Syaksyuk living in the warmth". Generally, they have no direct experience with humans and may only know of them through distant rumor—if they encountered the RDA, it would be seen as either an intrusion to crush or a tool to exploit, not a people to understand. Unlike the Mangkwan, they do not submit to humans, humans will have to submit to the Cold.
The clan is not led in the traditional way other Na’vi would recognize. Authority is held by a Chief and his council made by men and enforced by a brutal ruling class, where leadership is maintained through strength, fear, and survival, rather than an Olo’eyktan and a Tsahík chosen to protect the people in balance with Eywa.
Ä'rios women are to be seen and not heard. They have no power nor no voice in these clans, they're just meant to be pretty and give birth to the next generation.

Courtship
A na'vi in the Veykx'u clan can be courted by several males/females, but they can only court one at a time. Same sex couples are verily common.
Males can court someone by giving a handmade woven piece that can range from: Ruanas, bracelets, cloths, small toys, etc. The more fine made and colorful it is, the more it shows how dedicated the person is. Females can also present their own hand made items or carvings like a pendant, bone carvings, or little statues as a courting gift.
Beads are a common item that are commonly used for bracelets/necklaces and are often used as decoration .
Courting gifts are usually presented to the person in question, in private. The more complicated and detailed the courting gift is, the more interested they are in the person receiving the gift. When the courting gifts are accepted, the pair will be blessed by one of the six tsahiks or the olo'eyktan and a huge celebration will be held in the honor of the couple for the rest of the day, giving crafted items, food, and be sung songs. At dawn, the couple will be given a young adult woolly hammerhead for both of them to bond with, which the clan would have helped create the platform that will be placed on the hammerhead's back, leaving the couple to create their future hut, while embarking on a journey to the Tree of Spirits to successfully mate before Ewya.
In the days of when they had lived in the high mountains, it was quite common for na'vi to put on elaborate dances or songs to impress or try to woo the na'vi that the performance is meant for. While this practice is still used, it is mostly commonly used by na'vi that are professional performers.
Dance-fighting, while not as popular, is a form of courtship amongst the clan. This would include three participants, which two would be the competing rivals, while the na'vi that is being courted to, will dress up as the female of the agreed upon animal species. While actual puppets are used as a background performance. The two na'vi that are playing the rival animals, will duel through a performative dance, that was a duel between the two performers which will always end with the na'vi who planned the whole event to win and successfully courting the na'vi in the female costume.
Reproduction
Pregnancy doesn't happen during the first attempt, and might need a few tries. Oddly enough, Veykx'u na'vi pregnancy is more longer, as pregnancy lasts for a year and a half. This is often believed to be an evolution left over from their time during the clan's time in the high mountain, or, the extra fat that is added on helps the individual survive better through the later seasons.
The Veykx'u do have some taboos that came to pregnancy: Scratching the stomach is discouraged to prevent harming the child, sleeping on the stomach as it is thought that the mother would smother and crush the child, and eating raw meat.
Veykx'u have been know to mix genes with some outsiders who visit the clan, those who have hybrid snow na'vi children, their children will always have some substance of a glazy white skin and rosettes or solid spots. If a male snow na'vi mates with an outsider na'vi, their child will show traits from both of the child's parents which may include faded rosettes or spots. If a female snow na'vi is mated with an outsider, traits of a snow na'vi will be more dominant in the child, with them having more wider and bigger body proportions and a more prominent muscular built, with more pronounced rosettes or spots.
A tsahìk/the olo'eyktan will help mothers with their pregnancy and help and guide mothers with the birthing process by starting early on in the pregnancy and the tsahìk will often prepare meals that are rich in fiber and fat. Pregnant females still have to help around the clan. Family and clan members will provide support and assistance by helping with tasks and offering word of encouragement. Births were typically communal events, with women and family supporting the labouring mother with help from a tsahìk through the birthing process. Pregnant females will be pampered, but will continue working. First time couples will be mentored what they will need to know by their grandparents or a tsahìk/olo'eyktan
Family life
Babies are born purely white and completely bald at first, with a very light layer of fat, keeping the child alive during and after the birthing process. The fat reverses are very much temporarily as they will burn out after several days of being born, these reveres are to make sure that the newborn(s) can survive on their own for a while, in case something had happened to the parents. Surprisingly enough, hybrid snow na'vi babies do not possess this little fat layer.
A few minutes after the infant is born, the newborn(s) will develop layers of little hair fuzz that helps them to keep warm in the cold. When newborns are born, they will make their first bond with their mother. While having one child is a very common occurrence, having twins is a very much more common.
Before the child is even born, a na'vi adult (or couple) in the clan is handpicked by the parents to be the back up parents of the newborn(s) if the birth-parents are killed or unable to take care of their child. They even have a backup parent for the backup and a back up for that backup, and so and so forth.
After the baby/babies are born, a naming ritual will be held, this ceremony is led by the olo'eyktan and head tsahìk. During the ritual, the infant is given their first face paint mark and the olo'eyktan, or head tsahìk declares the child's name to the clan and Eywa. The ceremony is a vital rite of passage for parents. When babies start to crawl, they're bonded with their parents' ikran. Who will become guardians of the baby/babies and watch them very closely, even when the children are old enough to take care of themselves. During this alloparenting phase, the ikran(s) will start to mimic the parents' whistles or certain phrases or words. Special baskets are woven to be placed on the necks of the parents' ikran(s) to place their babies inside to keep them warm and safe. The baskets are made through tough fabrics and the insides are layered with Pandoran lichen to insulate and waterproof the basket. When the child is old enough to walk, they will start to develop a curiosity for their surroundings and will often explore, which makes their parents make ruanas to keep track of their kids and so they don't loose them in the snow and it also helps their ikran babysitters spot them in the snow and keep predators away.
Both parents will wear an amauti to carry their children. If the couple have twins, the couple will carry one child in their amauti and the mated couple only has one child, then the couple will take turns carrying their child.

The Veykx'u pride themselves as great storytellers and often tell tales that were told to them, which they heard from either the passing wind traders or from friends and family members. The Veykx'u are known to put on large social musical performances that include drum dancing, acrobatics, puppetry, and singing. One of the most popular and common forms of singing is throat singing; throat singing is usually performed by two na'vi producing a wide range of sounds from deep in the throat and chest. Some districts in the clan sometimes have little competitions; these competitions will start with two na'vi who start with the singing and would be followed up with musicians. The competition would end when one of the singers ends their song.
Puppetry is the second most important thing in a performance for the clan. Each puppet has its own assigned na'vi to their own part of the puppet. A small animal puppet, like a viperwolf, would have one na'vi controlling the puppet, while a medium or large animal puppet will get a whole crew to operate the puppet. The size of the crew depends on the size of the puppet and what mechanics are needed to operate. For example, to operate the head of a puppet of a woolly bladehead, five na'vi are often accompanied to help operate the head.
They used instruments such as koras, many different versions of drums, qilauts, coconut kalimbas, musical bones that are made with horns or are cut from animal bone, mridangams, large and handheld musical bows, rattlers, and their own versions of bone flutes, as the snow na'vi will mostly use horns or tusks to make their flutes.
Children are often taught crucial survival lessons and skills with their friends and family at a young age, through play. Some games are designed to help strengthen joints and increase flexibility and accuracy. Games are played at many events, occasions, and celebrations.
The clan will also hold celebrations of the changing seasons, like their own versions of the fall/winter solstice called Ftxoza sangzìsìkrr [meaning: "Celebration of warm season"] and Ftxoza tìwewzìsìkrr [meaning: Celebration of cold season]. Activities during these events include feasting, games, dancing, and activities like ice fishing, which are often part of the festivities. Storytelling and spiritual practices: Celebrations include sharing stories and giving thanks to spirits and ancestors for helping them survive the harsh winter.
Due to the thermal mud lakes that are often found around in the northern tundra, mud volcanoes are a common rest stop, as the warm temperatures keep both the woolly hammerheads and the snow na'vi warm. Thermal pools are used to make bioluminescent paints. Like the Zeswa clan, the Veykx'u use the paints to decorate and to make individual woolly mammoths stand out and show their personality and accomplishments.
Zeswa dance-fighting was adapted by the clan after being taught dance-fighting by a Zeswa wind trader during the first few seasons of when Mufkxem was first made olo'eyktan. Veykx'u dance-fighting includes two na'vi dressing up as two animals and having them duel in a dance. Each animal has a different fight; the dance-fight of the hammerheads has the dancers wear a sturdy headdress, mimicking the hammer base, and the dancers will bash their headdresses together. Symbolizing the strength of the animal.
Me seeing all of the FoP stuff across different platforms and the new DLC trailer coming out, while wanting to play the game. But knowing full well that I can't afford the console to play FoP and my laptop is too weak to handle running the game:

Veykx'u cuisine
Tuvomwutso: This meal is made from wendigo meat and is mostly served at very special ceremonies or events and often served as a main course and is often served together with kalinwusto.
Cocoa plum taffy: Sap from the cocoa plum tree is extracted from the tree and brought to a boiling point past the point where it would form syrup, but not so long that it becomes butter or sugar. Once the sap is ready, it is rapidly poured onto fresh, packed snow or crushed ice, which causes it to quickly cool and harden into a chewy, soft candy. The taffy is commonly rolled onto a stick to be consumed. This snack is often served at a festival where the clan gathers to celebrate the end of the last of the later seasons and the arrival of the eariler seasons and their return to Syawn'ftueywa. It is also seen as a valuable source of energy during the later seasons. This treat is also often given to visitors such as the wind traders to help with trading relationships.
Kalinwusto - "Sweet dinner": is a popular dessert that is served during special events such as celebrations, ceremonies, or parties.
Tsyoklìt tskxepaymuaì - "Chocolate ice fruit" is used as a main ingredient in desserts along with kalinngrr, making a casserole-like dish. Tsyoklìt tskxepaymuaì is used as a topping or ingredient in many dishes.
Kalin utraltsyìpzet - "Sweet bush treat": This fruit is often placed in the middle when making rock bread and the fruit's nuts are used in other recipes.
Tskxehametsì (Rock bread): A traditional flatbread, often made with roots and animal fat which would be made on flat rock surfaces. For a more doughy loaf kind of bread, Pandoran lichen would be added and the dough would be repeatedly pounded with a modified hammer that was made from a pachrhinsturmbeest nasal boss and mashing poles, then the dough is placed into a cooking station where the dough shall rise before being brought to a flat stone surface to repeat the same method over again until the dough is a nice loaf, or whatever purpose that the cook has for the dough. Both types of bread are often used mainly as rations for incredibly long journeys, but have also been used with other dishes like soups and stews.
Kllvawm tskxehametsì - "Brown rock bread': This dish is created by taking the loaf of tskxehametsì, and placing it in the cooking station added on animal fat, until the dough has turned into golden brown color. This dish can also be reused by frying the bread until the bread starts to puff up, making a bit of a bowl shape. Once done, seasoned meat, herbs and other desired fixings are added to it. This dish is commonly paired or topped with melted apxa'eylan cheese.
A hearty soup made with various ingredients like direseal, hexapede, polar whipfang, apxa'eylan cheese, or seafood.
Kllyem kllte vey (bury ground meat): A fermented dish of animal meat and fat that is buried in the ground and is often stored in baskets.
Hexapede stew: A stew flavored with berries, nuts, and sometimes fish eggs, or another animal or fish meat is added to the stew. It is a very common dish and quite simple dish to make.
One common dish includes chopped fruits and meats which are chilled together in the cold overnight in a secure basket. This dish is mostly served at gatherings, festivals, or celebrations.
Stuffed bun meat: A soft smoked bun filled mostly with woolly bladehead or any other meat replacement that the cook wants, the insides are stuffed with kalinngrr.
Hunter's wrap: A rugged niktsyey, or na'vi wrap, made from eggs, apxa'eylan cheese, and polar whipfang, pachrhinsturmbeest, tundra devil, or hexapede meat. Like its name suggests, this meal is mostly made by hunters and is a favourite food for long hunting parties.
Smoked akula salmon: Whole Akula salmon's were caught and prepared before being placed on racks above cooking stations where the fish will be smoked. This also helps preserve the meat for the later seasons.
Kalinngrr paste: A food made from the roots of the kalinngrr that is baked and mashed into a pudding-like paste, mostly used as a baby food or milk substitute, but can also be served as a dessert or topping. The paste is also fed to pregnant mothers as the paste is high in fiber.
Kalinngrr butter: This condiment is made by slow cooking kalinngrr fruit with water to a point where it caramelizes, turning the kalinngrr butter a deep brown. This recipe is a favorite for elders to make for their grandkids, the kalinngrr butter is mostly used as a glaze in savory meaty dishes and is often used as a replacement ingredient in baking.
Tsyey'awstengyem - "Bind together snack": This is is made by mixing in dried meat and fruit together. It is a calorie-rich snack and can be used as a key component in prepared meals or eaten raw.
Ikran treat: A treat that smells sweet and feels sticky to the touch with a strong gamey taste to it. The treat is made by mushing up different smoked meats together with the juices of fruits with mashing poles. Na'vi who make this treat are known to sing a song dedicated to the ikran when using the mashing pole.
The Veykx'u can smoke the meat of animals by hanging the meat on racks that are located above cooking stations.
Animal meat, fish, nuts and fruits are dried in skin bags or in polar whipfang shells. The nasal boss hammer that is commonly used on rock bread, can also be used to tenderise meat from the megafuana that they hunt. One of the many ways the Veykx'u ferment their food is to stick the meat into direseal skins along with the fat. The direseal skin is modified to be hung up on racks for better storage and to let the meat ferment in the skin and fat. They would also use the stomach contents of herbivores, like hexapede, to help ferment plant matter.
To preserve animal or fish meat, snow na'vi would rely on flash freezing before going to store the meat in large baskets where the baskets would be stored together. At Syawn'ftueywa, shallow pit stone caches are built to help preserve meat for it to be used at later times and are very useful during times of famine.
The ulu is a prime and popular tool to use for cooking, as it is used for slicing and chopping meat and plants. Mashing poles are used to break through hard shells of fruit, crush down seeds, and grind up plants to be used for dyes, and tenderise meats. Songs are often started by na'vi using this tool.
The Veykx'u emphasizes sharing what is hunted and gathered with the community, ensuring everyone has access to food, food plays a crucial role in Veykx'u culture, as it isn't uncommon to see a na'vi bring baskets, full of food to social gatherings and ceremonies.
For a time, raw tulkun skin, fat, and meat were once a common food source before tulkun hunting died out in the clan, for better prey that was further inland.
In Veykx'u culture, na'vi are often expected to walk into the homes of their neighbors unannounced. The host of the home will usually have a meal prepared for guests. Na'vi often shared food and celebrated together through community feasts as it strengthens social bonds in the clan. It is quite common for feuding na'vi to intentionally give each other bad recipes, but not overly bad recipes that make the dish inedible, but this practice is more common amongst elders.
In the clan, to waste food or any resources from plants or animals is seen to be very disgraceful; due to the limited resources that the tundra can provide, a na'vi that wastes food/resources is not only disrespecting the animal/plant but is seen as a wasteful person. To avoid this problem, parents would teach their children many recipes that would make do with what food they could find and how to make any leftover food into new meals.
During cooking, it is highly mandatory for a nav'i to wear a furless hood that are called: "Tì'em'are" meaning; "cooking shawl" that they wrap around their head to keep their hair together and out of the way, making it easier for preparing and making meals.

Olo'eyktan and tsahìk lore
Ever since the Veykx'u first started to live on the backs of herd of the clan's woolly hammerheads, due to the large superherd, five tsahìks were assigned to their own distinct district of the herd, where they would fulfill their duties as tsahìk to make it easier for na'vi who lived much further deep in the herd and are too far away from the olo'eyktan and head tsahìk. The olo'eyktan and head tsahìk share the same hut, which is located on the back of the matriarch of the herd.
If the olo'eyktan or the head tsahìk dies from natural causes or retires due to injury or old age, before the tsakarem/eyktan has reached the age of maturity, or if there is no tsakarem/eyktan, the clan will have a contest for the role of olo'eyktan/olo'eykte or head tsahìk, proving themselves in specific trials that are given out by the shaman. These trials were started by Mufkxem's great, great, great, great-grandfather as a way to make sure that only the most capable would take the mantle of olo'eyktan/olo'eykte or head tsahìk if the times ever called the trials to commence.
To become a tsahìk in the clan, a na'vi must undergo training by the shaman also called: "Agkkuqá", the shaman will teach the tsahìk(s)-in-training how to listen for signs from Eywa, perform ceremonies. For a na'vi to become a shaman, they could either experience a vision from the all-mother herself or become an apprentice, also called; "numeyu tiretu" meaning shaman student. Na'vi who become tiretu numeyus will shadow the shaman throughout their apprenticeship learning rituals, knowledge, and skills necessary to connect deeply with Pandora's life force.
Unlike the tsahìks that are trained by the shaman, the tsakarem is personally mentored by the head tsahìk and the eytan are either hand-picked by the olo'eyktan, or are born into the role, the eyktan will be mentored and trained personally by the current olo'eyktan/olo'eykte. For someone to become head tsahìk is strictly restricted to the tsakarem, as anyone that becomes a tsahìk, can't become head tsahìk.
