Alfred 1.3.1 is now in pre-release, the major addition being Mountain Lion Notification Center integration along with a number of little improvements and fixes.
To grab the pre-release, make sure you are using the version from our website, then select "I want pre-releases" in Alfred's General > Update preferences.

A nice little addition to 1.3.1 will be the ability to remember the last used destinations in the copy/move actions. This will save you having to search or navigate to the same folders over and over.

I've just put together the first 1.3.1 development release with a few nice fixes including adding support for Notification Center in OS X 10.8.
This is a very early build and the beginning of my experimentation, so expect some quirks, but if you would like to have a bit of a play with this, grab the development build now :)

Alfred 1.3 pre-release build 246
This build fixes a few minor quirks in build 245 and adds a few niceties such as customisable subject line when sending file attachments (in the Features > Email prefs).
Please update now (by ticking the pre-release box in Alfred's General > Update prefs then click "Check Now") to help me test that this build is good before General Release hopefully next week :)

During polishing the 1.3 release, I had a well timed email regarding the email subject line when sending file attachments by email via Alfred. This is really important if you don't want these to be in English, or if you just want to tweak to your preference :)
This will be in the next 1.3 pre-release :)

After a successful development / test cycle, with reported quirks being quashed, I am now happy to pop 1.3 out on the auto updating pre-release channel. If nothing is reported, I am hoping to have this generally available by next week.
If you would like to update to 1.3, you need the website version of Alfred then simply select the "pre-release" option in the update prefs and click "Check Now".

Alfred 1.3 dev build 245
I've just popped what I hope to be the final dev build up for testing. This build fixes a number of reported minor quirks and should hopefully be ready for pre-release tomorrow.
If you could grab it and test it as much as possible, I'd really appreciate it!

First Alfred 1.3 dev build 238
The first 1.3 development build is now available for testing! As always, this is a huge release. The most notable additions to 1.3 from 1.2 are:
Multiple File Selection / File Buffer (enabled from Features prefs)
Quick Look file results (tap the shift key)
Big improvements to the 1Password integration (including instant pickup of changes to your 1Password keychain and ability to see 1Password items in your default results without a keyword)
There are so many changes and fixes so be sure to read the full change log to help me verify this build before I roll it out to the masses :)

My favourite hotkey which I use all day long... cmd+shift+v pastes the current clipboard buffer into any text field / text area as plain text.
Useful for pasting any text to match the style of the current destination such as Gmail, Pages or any rich text document!
Just in case you were wondering what the multi-selected files action panel will look like... coming soon! :)
Alfred 1.3 is coming along great! One new feature which has been a long time requested and desired feature is the ability to work with multiple file selections in Alfred for actions such as copying, deleting, extensions etc.
Above is a new concept being introduced in 1.3 which will allow you to quickly stack up files in a buffer from both the default results and file system navigation which can then subsequently be actioned all in one go!
I hope to have the first 1.3 development / test release with this feature available later on this week for you to have a play with :)

Now with added Quick Look!! Be sure to read the change log and help test all the new bits and bobs. Highlights:
Quick Look files by tapping the Shift key
1Password improvements, including keyword-less bookmark search
Show loads of results by default with a scrollbar (not limited to 9)
cmd+return now reveals in Finder by default, including FS navigation
Place maths calculations back into Alfred using the = symbol
Better history support for Transient clipboard data (e.g. Text Expander)

When it comes to UX, I feel I've discovered the most comfortable finger arc when it comes to navigating results and previewing them in Quick Look [on the wireless / MacBook OS X keyboard].
In Alfred 1.2.1, you will be able to navigate up and down the results and preview them by tapping the shift key. Tap the shift key again to hide the preview.
This feels equally as natural (especially if you have larger fingers) if you use your index finger to navigate up and down then your middle finger to Quick Look with the shift button.

Alfred 1.2.1 b225 development release
I've just popped a new development release up for testing which has a number of improvements including working around a memory leak in OS X 10.7.4. This fundamentally changes the way that files/apps are launched and all URLs (typed, web searches, custom searches, help links etc) are opened so testing around these areas would be really appreciated.

Reusing a calculation in Alfred
User Chris Kalafarski suggested a really simple but highly effective enhancement to Alfred's calculator for reusing a calculation's result which is coming in 1.2.1.
Let's say that you have the calculation:
=sqrt(12)*14^3
which in Alfred is equal to 9505.494831938 which you subsequently wanted to use back in Alfred for further calculations. Previously, you could have pressed return in Alfred to copy this answer to the clipboard, pop Alfred back up and paste this answer back in. This is now much easier by typing = after your calculation e.g.
=sqrt(12)*14^3=
Alfred will replace the current search query with
=9505.494831938
... so you can now continue calculating. Lovely! :)

Alfred 1.2.1 first dev release
Hot on the heels of the big Alfred 1.2 release, I bring you a 1.2.1 maintenance release which adds quite a few excellent new additions, notably...
Alfred now shows all matches (with a scrollbar) in the default results!
New appearance option to show Alfred's results smaller
1Password improvements including auto-reloading and ability to view bookmarks in default results without '1p' keyword
A new Quit All Applications system command with keyword 'quitall'
Option to hide Alfred before showing Large Type text
There are loads more fixes and improvements, so be sure to read the update log!
