Red Cross is not realising that creating a 1:1 relationship between war rules and virtual game rules, endorses war as a solution to conflict. Fundamentally the organisation doesn't see that war is organised murder which is a symptom of our economic system, we must address the root which will eliminate the symptoms... and when we do, there is no more need for Red Cross to exist. Don't believe the hype - Red Cross' approach is to keep going, making money on war.

The US government's use of "enhanced interrogation techniques" is the basis of a mission called "By the Book" where Trevor Phillips, one of GTA5's three playable characters, tortures a man suspected by the GTA world's government agencies of harbouring secrets about terrorists. To say that simulated and interactive violence does not affect us in how we accept abuse and suffering in the world and perpetuate it - is like saying advertisement does not work to entice people into buying. point in case: according to my GPS, I have to follow trajectories that often turn out cumbersome, instead of taking the most obvious route - I can see this clearly once I know the route I have to travel (note: this cannot be resolved with the settings) So, instead of the technology working together with me, and me having real-time input into the coordinates that the GPS computes, the GPS is designed so that I am to follow blindly - thus, I have no real-time, collaborative input. The result is that I avoid travelling with my GPS as much as I can.... do you relate?
