Welcome to the Prettiest Pride Flag tournament!

As you might have guessed from the name, this is a just-for-fun tournament to determine which pride flag people think looks the best aesthetically!

Submissions are open until April 25th! This is focused on sexuality/gender identities, but if you do want to submit e.g. a disability pride flag feel free to.

All good faith identities are accepted! Xenogenders, obscure identities, anything goes as long as they're not offensive or troll labels. And please remember to vote based on the flag design, not on the identity itself!

Couldn't answer this before because like I said I didn't know while it was still going since I was going through the submissions list as I queued, but we're now done! So Round 2 will start soon :D

When will the next submission window open? Just found out about this and I really wanna join!!!

Since it's a bracket tournament they're closed for good for this one, but once it's concluded I'm definitely down to run another tournament for flags that weren't included in this one now that more people have had a chance to find the blog! I know a lot of people with coining blogs have shown up recently so it might be a fun chance for people to submit their own or much lesser-known flags than some of the ones sent in this time :)

VASTGENDER Definition: Gendervast, or vastgender, is a gender that can be described by many different labels, but is only one gender itself. The gender is hard or impossible to describe with just one term. It is similar to genderhoarder, but it is not fluid. Flag creator: Unknown Colour meanings: It uses the original flag as inspiration but with a prism theme to = all the genders that form a single gender, like all the colors that make up white. The stripes = different 'in nature' or 'aligned' genders. Black = voidine, fuschia = liminal, pink = feminine, orange = xenine, yellow = nonbinary, green = agender, teal = outherine, blue = masculine, and purple = kenochoric. The layout of the flag can also be easily adapted to = a specific individual’s vastgender.

THALASSAGENDER Definition: A form of agender with a connection to the ocean. It flows and shifts like waves on the sea, at times feeling closer or farther from other genders, but never quite reaching them. Other times the water is calm, and things feel easier to define. It may also simply appeal to those who love the ocean and feel a strong connection with it. BELLUSSEXUAL Definition: Bellussexual is an interaction stance describing someone who has interest in certain sexual actions, the aesthetic of sexual relationships, and/or aspects of sexual relationships, but does not want a sexual relationship. A bellussexual individual might enjoy and be favorable towards participating in some acts typically seen as sexual, and might like the idea of a sexual relationship and/or be intrigued by how it’s portrayed in media etc, but are repulsed by or averse towards being in a sexual relationship. Although it is most commonly used by asexual individuals, it is not exclusive to that community. The bellussexual label only describes how one feels about certain acts and sexual relationships, and does not describe ones sexual attraction or orientation. APLATONIC Definition: Aplatonic, abbreviated Apl (pronounced as "apple"), is an identity on the aplatonic spectrum that is used most commonly by a-spec individuals who do not experience platonic attraction, or by those who do not relate to the concept of platonic love. The term has also been used by neurodivergent aromantics and traumatized aro individuals, who might not desire friendship or other platonic relationships. Aplatonic does not refer to someone who simply "doesn't have friends" or "doesn't want friends", although either of these may also be true for an aplatonic individual, rather it describes someone who does not experience "platonic crushes" or "squishes" like some a-spec individuals do. Some aplatonic individuals may still have strong platonic bonds (though not all desire strong platonic relationships) or have a general desire for friendships, however they never experience a strong desire to be friends with someone in particular, or feel as though the term "love" can be applied to the relationship. XOY Definition: Xoy is a gender in which one identifies as a non-binary boy. This can take many different forms depending on the person. It can refer to someone who identifies in some way as a non-binary boy, non-binary boy-adjacent, or is in some way related to masculinity. It can also refer to someone who identifies with some part of manhood/boyhood but who wants a more non-binary or neutral sounding word because they aren’t entirely a boy or don’t want to be associated with the typical ideas brought up by the word “boy.” Flag creator: Unknown Colour meanings: The greenish-blue = the connection and closeness of this identity to man/boyhood without quite being boy. Gendermolasses is specific in that it is fluid very slowly, changing over the course of weeks, months, or even years at a time, while genderfluid is a broader term which also covers gender that change every hour, minute, or even second.
