I'm Cherub (she/her, 19), and this is my first time posting on Tumblr, so I'm very new to this (^▽^)
I'm gonna make my blog into my little corner of the internet, so you can expect my thoughts about random things and concepts, my favourite fandoms, and whatever else that could leak out of my brain!
Right now I'm really into TADC, Undertale and Deltarune
I don't know if I'll eventually delete this post, but I wanted to give myself a little push into posting something so I could get moving (๑>◡<๑)
I made a playlist for our favourite parental figures, since I will forever yearn for more screen time of both Queenie by herself, and of Kinger and Queenie as a couple (╥ ᴗ ╥)
I just finished reading @furiouspoplar's "Soaking in Cinnamon" fanfic on AO3 last night, cried my eyes out due to the gorgeous, sugary sweet words they wrote, and then proceeded to make a playlist + a cover for said playlist out of adoration for this masterpiece of a fanfic.

Before I post this, I wanted to write a message in honour of this absolute work of art. I'll try to keep it short and sweet because I could talk about this fic for hours. Also, this might contain spoilers, so go read the fic now!!
This fanfic has become one of my all-time-favourites: it has inspired me in so many ways, and it has showed me how a relationship isn't only sustained by love, but that it needs time, patience and a lot of effort from both parts.
Pomni and Ragatha sat down to talk, even knowing that it could be the last time they would be this close... Because they love each other, and they consider their relationship worth fighting for, worth showing up for.
Instead of them playing a game of push and pull against each other, it was them against the back and forth of the ocean, against the heavy waves threatening to swallow them both.
They are two different people, with their respective baggage, their distinctive quirks,,, but with certain similarities and many shared goals; they don't always see eye to eye, and they can hurt themselves and the other in the process, even if those weren't the intentions.
And that's the thing: relationships aren't perfect, and they can't be. The terrain is always not uniform, and the friction builds up enough to trip them over; something so uniquely, intrinsically human.
And they decide to stand in front of a rough, open ocean, hand in hand, ready to take in whatever it has for them. They accept the kismet that comes from being swallowed by the ocean, because they know they will be safe in each other's arms.
As long as this is what they both want, then the unpredictable waves are easier to surf, and the ocean will become more tranquil once again.
They acknowledge that they have hurt each other, and that it is not okay, but they see that the intention to harm wasn't born within them, and come to understand the other.
They know that the tide will come in again eventually, but they make a pact to respect and love the other in the wild ocean that the Circus proves to be time and time again.
Ragatha goes on a baking-spree after she realizes that she hasn’t yet shared any of her recipes with Pomni, setting out to spoil her favorite jester rotten.
Pomni struggles to find a way to show what feels like ‘enough’ appreciation and finally say, to her face, that she loves her, instead of letting it hang in the air as a shared assumption. Surely, just those three words are the problem.
Intended as a continuation of sorts of Midnight Sunshine, but, should still make sense on its own.

Chapter 8: Part 1, if you would. For the first time in like 40,000 words, I would count this as Fluff.
Part 2 aka Chapter 9 (good god that’s too many chapters) will be going up later this week, IDEALLY. I sure hope so. One scene needs revising and I want to give it some careful editing before it goes up.
Shoutout once again to @rileysfiles for help with this and next chapter ! They had some really crucial suggestions that brings a lot of the themes together for this stretch of the story.
Thank you, guest ao3 user YURI, for leaving this lovely comment in my fanfic,,, it honestly made my day and had me giggling (๑˃̵ᴗ˂̵)
P.S.: go read my fanfic "It's Not Natural, It's Intentional" on ao3, under the username "pretty_cherub_doll"!! The last chapter (Chapter 4) is in the works!! (❁⸝⸝> ᴗ•⸝⸝)

I’ve seen people comment that Pomni’s torture scenario was kind of weak compared to the others, and that it could be because she hasn’t been in the circus as long, thus Caine can’t personalize her punishment as well.
And even if he’s technically using their traumas to hurt them, I don’t think that was his main intention. I think he was “replying” to their criticisms.
Pomni: We think your ideas suck!
Including Gummigoo, Pomni?
Zooble: Pathetic! You’re like a child! What kind of all-powerful being has such fragile ego?
How can someone, whose body perfectly encapsulates their mind and is fully customizable, not feel satisfied yet? How many options do you need? How vain can you be, Zooble?
First of all, I know that Zooble most likely suffers from dysphoria, and Caine focusing the torture scenario on that was a massive dick move on his part, especially when Zooble had shared their insecurities about their body in a previous episode.
However, in that same episode, Caine shared with Zooble his own insecurities.
Caine: Making adventures is my art! It’s all I exist to do! All I am… good at. (…) … w-what you’re saying could imply that I’m bad at the only thing I’m good at, and that…
I’m just saying that he probably took Zooble’s criticism as a low blow of its own and he made it personal.
Ragatha: You never let us feel like we’re at home.
Which home? Yours, Ragatha?
Gangle: You discourage us from thinking outside the box and doing things our way!
I can’t stop thinking about this scene in the new TADC episode. I’ve rewatched it so many times it’s so well done it gives me goosebumps. The music, the red glow, the way Ragatha looks down at the table, how she tries to block the knife with her hand and it does absolutely nothing, how she says “mama” night after that, almost trying to make her stop, and the fuzziness and leering quality of her mother. The brutality of the dinner table setting with intense angles, she’s small, the chair goes up to her head, and the physical distance between her and her mother does not keep her safe. The absolute fear in realizing she’s stuck, she’s powerless, and the way her mother is looming over her staring down at her leads into the second most poignant part in this scene to me: how she stares up into her mother’s eyes and doesn’t even flinch as the last knife pierces into her.
