Regardless of why people hate on her or don’t, she knows she has an audience and influences that audience quite a bit, so yeah when she comes out and says ‘You’ is romantic she only gives credence to the idea that behaviours like that are acceptable for “”“love”“” (one that the actor in the series has been trying to squash this entire time). Societal shaping or not, her opinion is harmful to her audience, and she is smart enough to know this. Just a few days ago twitter came at Noah Centineo for his support of logan paul but shes given a free pass?

but like also i wish she had adults around her that actually cared enough to help her understand that this attitude isn’t healthy. she’s already surrounded by such toxicity in the industry and it’s very worrisome that she as a child sees stalking as romantic in any way. :( :( :(

It actually is her job to be a role model. Whether she takes this responsibility seriously or not is up to her. When you are a celebrity it is your job to consider what impact your actions have. Thats literally the whole job. I am so sick of people saying celebrities didn’t ask to be role models—as if thats the damn point.

if anybody’s role models let them down it was Millie’s. it was the job of her parents and the adults around her to protect her from situations like this in the first place as a child and as an actress and they’ve failed her.
