There’s no way Emison will never happen. She just wants to build up anticipation for when it does. She’s probably saving it for either 6B or season 7, so Ali has time to work out her shit, and so Emily can close the Paige door for good. 

At this point in time, Emison wouldn’t work. Ali has never been in a healthy relationship, she has a shit ton of emotional problems, and she needs time to overcome her manipulative nature. They’re saving Emison for later so that there won’t be a chance for it to get screwed up, so that it will be a HEALTHY relationship.
