@tf-bigbang 2025 is into the preview phase!! I've had a wonderful time working with @bairdcrevan and @zolikemm <3 It's so exciting that soon we can share our creations we've all worked hard on, but for now have a preview! The posting period is fast approaching, November 5th 👀✨
I am so excited to share this fic with you come Nov05! I have been working with the lovely @zolikemm and @pricklybruin on a wild TF:One prequel- Don't you want to see Sentinel's rise to power? How he knew Starscream ahead of time? How Sentinel started working with the Quintessons? WHY DID HE DO IT? Of course you do.
Here's a little sneaky preview:
Starscream and Sentinel froze. Starscream still held his hand back, expecting to punch, while Sentinel's knee was moments from striking Starscream's abdomen, but neither one moved a single strut.
There was a deep bass sound, subsonic. It pulsed out across the plains, making their frames rumble in harmonic parity. It hurt a little, and it immediately set them on edge. They knew what that pulse was.
They immediately separated, looking desperately around. “No cover to the east,” Starscream murmured.
“The west is barren,” Sentinel said, biting his lip. Icy fear dripped down his neck and down his spinal strut.
“What is your maximum flight speed?” Starscream asked, priming his engines.
Starscream arched an optic ridge and smirked. “I just need to outrun you.”
Sentinel’s optics snapped open as Starscream kicked on his thrusters and jumped into the sky.
“You—you can’t!” he shouted, jumping after him. “You’ll go back without me, and everyone will know you left me! You abandoned me!”
“That would be your narrative, Sentinel!” Starscream shouted over the rising wind as they picked up speed. “Mine will paint me a little more favorably!”
Sentinel growled, more to himself for not thinking of this first. “I swear to Primus, if you leave me to them—”
Then, they were flung into the sky.

Since they had emerged, the Primes had trained them to listen and feel for it.

Literally frozen in mid-air, their engines seized. Purple and magenta light filtered over them, stopping them in their escape. Only their optics seemed able to move.
Then, they were flung into the sky.
Sentinel couldn’t even cry out, so quickly he lurched upward. His vocalizer frizzed static as his tanks lurched, wanting to purge as his equilibrium catapulted into disarray. He frantically tried to reach out to grab something, anything, to ground himself. He was being torn apart at the very seams, his bolts rattling in his frame. His denta clenched, threatening to shatter with the g-forces rocking his processor around in his helm.
He found Starscream in their beam of light and grasped him hard. The seeker gripped him back, and even if they hated each other, it was the most grounding, most appreciated grasp of two mechs in the world as far as he was concerned. It sobered his flying panic as he careened through the air. His spark still spun wildly in his chest, but the feeling of another mech calmed him somewhat.
The last glimpse of the ground he saw was that they were remarkably high up. It was possible that the ship had been stalking them for as long as they had been on the surface.
Then, the ground disappeared, and two giant metal doors closed.
They were inside a Quintesson ship.
At first, it was dark, and then his optics adjusted to the light. Starscream was still holding on to him, now practically wrapped around him in a tight hold. Sentinel felt the same way, feeling the seeker’s warm frame was calming, even as his mind failed to process what he was seeing.
The light cast a sickly green glow on their frames as they observed their surroundings.
He immediately tried to comm for help, but when he opened the channels, all he heard was static. He tried to even comm Starscream, and even he was completely blank.
Whereas Sentinel was wildly looking around, he noticed Starscream was still as a statue, still clinging to him, but staring straight ahead into the darkness.
A hissing growl came from the darkness, and despite it not sounding like anything resembling speech, he realized he could understand it.

I had the wonderful privilege to work on @bairdcrevan's fic and have been partnered with a fellow artist @pricklybruin!! We all worked so hard on this event and I'm so excited for everyone to see it. Happy New Year everyone! We’re happy to announce that sign-ups for the 2025 Transformers Big Bang will be opening in February. A complete timeline and updated set of rules will be posted in the next couple of weeks, but this year’s event will ask writers to create a fic with a minimum word count of 20k and artists to create 2 accompanying artworks. We look forward to welcoming all of our new and returning participants soon ✨
