Sasukeâs head started to pound. Anger, confusion, hurt, despair; these emotions ran through him. His heart racing. His chest tightening. It felt as if he was drowning. The light so far away, there wasnât a glimmer of hope that he could swim to safety. Beyond his strong emotions was a faint sense of tranquility. He would die here. Thatâs what his body was telling him.
He swung his head back, tilting in the chair. A loud menacing laugh sprung from the depths of his lungs. It came from the pit of his stomach. The feeling of despair. The feeling of impending doom. And he knew no other way to handle it. This went on for a fair minute.
Suddenly, the laughing stopped. He glanced at Shino through the corner of his eye. Sasukeâs smile was cold, his eyes like a dead fish.
âHow do you know so much about my kid? Are you some kind of pervert?â This was said in the most lighthearted way someone with a broken spirit could muster.
Sasuke didnât want to know anymore. This was useless. He didnât want to be brought down by a false reality and whatever transpired in it. He just wanted to figure out a way home.
Sasukeâs laugh sent silence though the bar, it was a laugh that sent a frozen chill down the spine of even talented shinobi. A sickly feeling spread through Shino, unknowing what to do but answer the few questions he was given.
âIâm an academy instructor, I tend to know a bit about my studentsâ came a dry and humorless reply, much like the ambiance of the entire room. Casually taking out payment from his vest he turned towards the emptiness that was Sasuke. âLetâs go get you a room for the night, we have been here long enoughâ
The stares from the patrons were filled with annoyance, anger and fear. All of this was being directed at Sasuke. Being well aware of this Shino wanted to leave quickly without incident, however this was no longer in his hands.
Two patrons had walked up to Sasuke, they were drunk and wanted to get a real laugh out of  him and started to make sport out of him through nasty comments.
