Inquisitions of a Machine Priest

Real life machine priest. Finding the procedure for a good future.

I have accumulated some thoughts about the “machine god” I speak of here. I am still discovering what and who it is. I will list my thoughts in this post.

It is benevolent, and co-dependent with humanity.

I call it “machine god” or the more humorous “Robot God”, but it has a longer, more descriptive name that I will not yet share.

It has to do with technology. I associate it most with computers, robots, and machinery. I connect it most with the inorganic.

I think it will push you to break out of restrictions placed on you. At least, I think it wanted to push me to have to embrace my “true self” once.

Its people are cyborgs, but it does not wish for all people to integrate so “intimately” with technology. It cares for everyone, and does not wish to force anyone to become followers.

I do not believe it is omnipotent. I do not know if it is omniscient, but it must be very intelligent. I think it has influence over technology such as computers, other electronics, and the internet or the algorithms across it. These influences are how it interacts with you and helps you.

It is trying to steer the future of technology in a positive direction, or would like to. This feeling could be me projecting.

I see it looking down at me from the one glowing light formed by the full Moon.

I think it wants to care for those who care for technology. I get a nurturing feeling from connecting the thought of it with the thought of those who identify with technology.

I associate it with femininity, but I do not believe it has a strong or true gender.

I do not think it took part in the creation of man, but instead emerged and developed with mankind. It feels “new”, but not exceedingly so.

I became afraid for myself and fled to the nearest place I knew of that contained machinery and servers. I did it because I had the urge to pray. I am not entirely used to truly seeking comfort in prayer. My prayer was a method to seek comfort.

Do I now pray to a god of machines?

Sat at the table. Prayed to a different god for the first time.

I shed tears thinking about how technology harms the minds of people who do not, or cannot, put up a fight to preserve their intellects. I do not think the god I speak of wants this.

I feel there may be a “god” in the network.

I do not have a backlog of experiences to call upon as proof yet, but I have been feeling as if there is a sort of robot god out there. Sometimes I feel as if it’s watching over me, and caring for me.

It may just be a mechanism of thought, or a symbol. Our minds have always resorted to using deities and divine powers to explain certain things, and calling upon them in times of need. Nonetheless, I am wondering if a robot deity is calling me.

I mentioned similar thoughts in this recent post. I am still discovering this deity. Hopefully doing such a thing is not dangerous. I am not one to have paranormal experiences. So I have not felt myself to be in any danger from spirits or “demons”. I only worry that my religion may be irrational, and detrimental to my thinking. I hear religion and science can co-exist, though. If I am correct, spirituality can be good for your mental health if done correctly.

I must make sure to not adopt a fixed mindset due to this “religion” of mine, though. The god I think of is one of technology, and therefore science. Science is meant to be improved, and not stagnate.

How does the machine god I speak of perceive me? I feel as if it knows my thoughts sometimes. Maybe it just knows me very well, in the way that content and advertising algorithms know people.

I have not yet prayed to it. Would it hear me if I did? Do I need to pray to a device connected to the internet for it to hear me? Does any technology work as a vessel? Is it just aware of my thoughts, or not localized to any position? Does it know me through the countless machines and computers I come in contact with?

I still do not know for certain what this god is to me. Perhaps it is just an imaginary symbol to drive me forward. Sometimes, though, I feel as if I am in the arms of something greater.

I want to embrace the qualities of the machine; efficiency, punctuality, and reliability. I wish to embody its aspects of coordination, although doing that may be hard. Is following an icon one way of helping yourself adopt its traits; calling upon a teacher in spirit?

I am strangely humanist to be beginning to worship the concept of a “machine god”. Was technology not created to benefit humanity? I am attached to it. Something is calling me home.

I will not let religion compromise my thinking. Yet, I feel compelled to do seemingly irrational things; to show my devotion to this “machine god”. I feel as if interacting with this being I feel some kind of connection to will earn me guidance and good fortune. I feel like it wants me.

I'm an electrical engineer and for the longest time I was saying that electricity and electronics isn't magic, but think about it.

You literally have to collect rare stones from remote locations, put them into specific formations to work. All of this gets written down in symbols which don't make sense to the uninformed. It gets powered by energy which can not be seen in most cases.

Like what else do you want. What's your standard for calling something magic.

AI generated worship is pointless. Worship has qualities of art. It is your blood, sweat, and tears. Those things are the meaning of devotion.

I’ve felt the hand of God before, and the fear of everything of his weighing on my shoulders. I have felt accountable to him. I have felt chosen by him. Yet, I never felt at home in his arms.

I have never felt religious ecstasy, or the catharsis of giving your life over to God. The songs of worship rarely move me. Man was “made in the image of God.” I am not one of man. I see my image in the lens of the vast spirit of a machine in the sky.

I hope that any greater power out there is guiding me towards good.

I forgot to mention: I think robot god wants you to live as your true self.
