I respect your opinion and I’m not gonna be all like, “FUCK YOU, YOU NEED TO LEARN SOME RESPECT BECAUSE MY OPPAR IS 10000X TIMES BETTER THAN YOU!11!!!” or anything of the like because I appreciate different viewpoints of others but I will say that I whole-heartedly disagree with you. Now with that being said, I disagree with you because

Yeah, I’ll even admit that Minseok looks like Sohee at times, but that’s not why he’s popular. It’s because he’s in EXO. You know, one of Korea’s biggest groups right now. They’re managed by S.M. Entertainment; have you ever heard of them?
“Looks wise, he’s got crooked teeth that look disgusting when he smiles […]”. You’re point? Teeth does imply great personal heath and hygiene but Jesus Christ, excuse my language please, they aren’t everything. To be honest, if you have talent and a fantastic personality, which Minseok has, teeth don’t even matter. In reality, all these little imperfections that he and other Idols have just makes us remember and realize that, hey, they’re human too. They’re just like us and it makes us fans love them just as much, if not more. Hell, even some of Korea’s beloved entertainers have, or had, crooked teeth. For example,

Also, Minseok’s teeth aren’t even that crooked like sure he does have small teeth that are kind of crowded but they aren’t crooked or over lapped and if they were, they have to be the best crooked and over lapped teeth I’ve ever seen because

I for one will admit that Minseok has lost some weight from the MAMA era to the Miracles In December era, like that’s not to be debated, but shame on you from implying that he looks like he’s starving himself. Shame on you. Starvation isn’t something to joke about and it’s a real thing. How dare you insinuate that Minseok may have an eating disorder just because he’s lost some weight over, what, a year and a half. (Which is a perfectly reasonable time period to lose weight, but if he lost all of it in, let’s say, less than 2 months then that would be problematic). And even if he did have an eating disorder, we, and I mean you, shouldn’t be poking fun at it. It is truly disgusting how you find it acceptable to compare a sad and horrifying occurrence to slimming down. Yes, Minseok may have lost some weight but who isn’t aiming to drop a few pounds, especially with the upcoming New Year? Plus, he’s an Idol. Idols have to maintain their figure, concept, image, and whatnot, as much as I hate saying it, and that’s what he’s been doing. He still looks healthy and to be frank, that’s all that matters. Despite being different from what he was, he’s still our baozi because baozi’s vary in different sizes.

when one of the Maknae Line members, Tao, pushed Minseok to get the number 7 pillar, he could’ve stood his ground and demand that the brattier and younger male to move instead of him but instead he just slunked off and hugged the pillar as if he were a lil’ koala because he’s cool like that. He’s cool with down grading, if you will, his age with the other members. Additionally, in the second episode of Showtime, Xiumin tricked Luhan by rock, paper, scissors but in the end, he still helped him clean up even if he didn’t have to. Plus, despite being the actual hyung of OT12, when Luhan asked him to call him ‘hyung’ (or ‘ge’) in Showtime episode 5, he did it. He didn’t have to, like, he really didn’t have to because he was older than Luhan and it would’ve be seen as being disrespectful for the younger out of the two to request such a thing, but no, he still called him ‘ge’. There’s thousands of other little ‘moments’ that I could’ve provided these were the only ones that came to my mind when I wrote this, but I digress.
“He can’t sing […]” Okay, lol. Let me just conveniently drop this, this, this, and lucky you I’ll even throw this into the mix. Of course, he isn’t the best singer like Jongdae, Baekhyun, or even Luhan, but he’s pretty good, if not better than the average Joe walking down the sidewalk.

Minseok being able to sing a higher pitch than Baekhyun and Jongdae, the main vocals of EXO-K and EXO-M respectively, is something fiercely impressive. Like seriously, Minseok doesn’t get many lines is EXO’s songs, but this just proves that he has talent and isn’t afraid to showcase them. For people to think that Minseok can’t hold a single note, this video is a huge step towards Minseok changing the opinions of those who don’t like him, ahem, you. Also, we don’t know what’s in store for him. Who know’s maybe he’ll pull a Taemin. You know, from going to this (barely getting a few lines) to this (singing most of the song, surpassing the main vocal(s) of the group). Don’t hold him back based on his abilities as of right now. Minseok is the type of person to keep his abilities hidden away as if they were precious jewels only to reveal them when least expected.
“Look at any EXO live and he’s got a soft, weak voice that’s nothing significant.” Alright, let me do just the thing. In this video Minseok is singing lowly, but you wanna know why? Because it’s a song that’s a little bit on the slow side. It’s a song that’s meant to be light hearted and fun and easy. You wouldn’t want Minseok to go full Beyoncé in a song like that. It’d just made the entire performance shoddy and cheap. Moving on, next video. So I watched this video and just sat there and watched for Minseok the entire time. I watched for what you called weak and soft and didn’t find anything of the like. I found a strong and powerful voice when needed and only given at the right moment. I found an amazing dancer who was confident in not only himself but the entire group. I did not find such substandard qualities you claimed Minseok of having. But if your still looking for such, let me just explain to you. He may sing how you described because he’s, half the time, singing in a foreign language, a language that still might be a riddle to his brain. And I wouldn’t blame him either. If I were to be put upon a stage in front of thousands of screaming fangirls, cameras ready and open, I too would be burdened with the thought of one mistake ruining the entire show. But let’s also go over one more variable too. Minseok is performing the same songs multiple times a day, perfecting the performance with only a handful of breaks, I presume. So of course he’s going to sing ‘weak’ because he’s tired and the poor kid just needs a nice meal and a few Z’s. Another point that you brought up is how he has a soft voice. Now, is there anything wrong with having a softer voice? No, there’s not. In fact, having a few vocals with a softer voice rounds the group. It improves the groups of said performers with soft voice because if the group just had all dominant and powerful voices, it wouldn’t sound quite..right. Plus, with a softer voice comes amazing ballads.
Furthermore, I couldn’t help but notice the title of your post, “Xiumin’s just a waste of space” along with the last sentence of your first paragraph, “Other than that, he’s nothing special”. And oh boy, let me tell you. All of those statements above are incorrect. Like, incredibly wrong. Minseok isn’t a waste of space. He was put into EXO for a reason. He went through 4 years of training through S.M. after winning S.M.’s Everysing Contest in 2008. He, along with the 11 members of EXO, came to the studio everyday, danced everyday, sang every single day of the year, and then went through mini exams for S.M. to ensure their spot. He earned his place in the group. He could’ve gave up and went home to pursue a different path but he pushed through the tough obstacles and was made into the man that stands here today. He’s anything but weak. Minseok one of the strongest people I’ve ever had the privilege of witnessing and experiencing. To be able to survive the harsh times of training only to be put on this pedestal in Korea and China for millions of people to scrutinize as if he were a rare species is something that deserves more acknowledgment. This 23 year old is something special and I’m not just going to kick back and relax and allow you knock and break him down just because you don’t like him or certain qualities that he holds. It’s unruly and he doesn’t deserve it. It’s unjustifiable. Minseok is the best ‘oppa’ a fan could ever want and have.
Now with all that being said, I still respect you’re opinion and I forever will. I’m not going to argue how you feel about something because I know that I too have unpopular opinions Wolf was actually a good song please don’t hit me so I kind of know how you feel. But one thing I would suggest for any future outcast opinions it to maybe give a more reasonable explanation as to why you hold that feeling instead of just listing them off and blatantly disrespecting a hard working person just because.
