"since you started biking, you’ve been smiling a lot more"
A skater has decided to drop by.
"Why do you prefer skating? I would think cycling is much more rewarding, perhaps more taxing on one's body as well."
The lizard like male called out to the other, head tilted to one side. His lanky physique easily towering over the male before him. Honestly, it was probably a bit odd just to randomly ask this question to a stranger, but he was curious!
When he gets curious, he wants answers.
Midousuji took a step forward, offering one of his trademark grins towards the other. ..Not exactly the most friendly gesture, but a normal smile was not in Akira's vocabulary. Asking him to smile normally was like asking a penguin to fly, it just wasn't gonna happen. (Not even if you used a catapult.)
"Easier to keep one's balance as well. ..That is, not to say that cycling is an easy sport, kek."
doodling some lizard ladies before class
[Offers awkward thumbs up.
Gonna be offering starters for people that like this post ;v; I like writing starters so come one come all.]
Honestly, don't be afraid to just show up in my inbox at random:
I may not be the kind of RPer that does all my drafts everyday, but I do often check my inbox/messages.
So if your muse misses mine, don’t be afraid to show up with a random text message or mini-para or sentence or question or whatever. I promise I won’t get mad at you.
This also goes for anyone who wants to interact with my muse. Just throw something random in my inbox. Even if I don’t answer it for some reason, I’ll probably message you back.
Makishima couldn’t help but flinch at the dramatic change in atmosphere. Now he’d done it. He made Midousuji mad. This was it, no going back. Or so he thought. Makishima thought best to let Midousuji get his steam out and he himself kept quiet.
After everything was said, Makishima sighed and leaned on the table a bit. “How do I move forward? I take a look at what caused me all the pain and force myself not to make that mistake again. If a person caused me all that, I would let them go and stay away from them. There’s always going to be ups and down, but you can’t let that drag you down.”
"I see.. It appears you do have some worthwhile wisdom. Of course, the two of us think similarly in that aspect. ..At least, somewhat."
The young male drummed his fingers against the table quietly, absorbing what had just been said to him. Yes, don't make that mistake again. ..Never make that mistake again. However, Midousuji was not one to abandon someone ..not until he used up all of their worth. Once he found them no longer needed, then he would throw them away.
"Kek, gross. Agreeing with a rival team member. I suppose it cannot be avoided however." He stated with a laze of his eyes. Midousuji was always rather good in being able to change demeanor in the blink, it was probably rather worrying. With a grunt, he shifted his position, now leaning on his elbow quietly.
"I would return the favor with advice of my own, but you have surely heard me in the past. ..I think following it would help you and Hakone in the long run, heh."
「 Like a fish. A dead fish. That was the best way to describe the way the other looked, at least facial-features wise. Those wide, unblinking eyes alone were unnerving as fuck. Compare that with the fact he looked like some sort of unholy stick and you have one weird ass individual. Rui quirks a brow at the grin he’s promptly offered, sinking his hands deeper in his pockets as the younger boy continued speaking.
Interest? Compliment? He was supposed to take being eyed up as a compliment? What a joke. Not to mention he seemed to be avoiding the fact he decided to insult him before spewing all of this. 」
You act like I wouldn’t fuckin’ notice when you’re gaping like some kinda damned fish.
「What was this, a staring contest? So be it. Green eyes burrowed into black, the only difference being the wide and narrowed states of each. It would be a bit intimidating really, to see two rather reptilian looking teens staring at each other intensely in broad daylight. 」
I don’t have to take shit. Gettin’ eyed up like a sideshow attraction ain’t exactly a compliment.
His grin remained unmoving. Dead fish, huh? What a funny insult.. It was always amusing how quick people were to judge and make presumptions about someone just by how they look. Nonetheless, Midousuji humored the other a bit with a light chuckle.
"Heehehehe, what a gross expression! I don't view you as a sideshow attraction! I simply said I viewed you as interesting. Interesting is not a bad word. Would you prefer the more 'typical' compliments? Though I think those are more suited for young school girls to say, kek."
The taller male took a step forward, his back hunched over as he finally broke the stare between the two, instead going to glance at their surroundings.
"My name is Midousuji Akira, I can tell by your physique that you are most likely an athletic type. I.. am a cyclist. I was never fond of the other sports." His tongue slipped out from between his teeth, dangling idly as he introduced himself. He only hoped the other wasn't a physically violent type.
[Aahh, hey guys. ;v; Sorry I'm such a slowpoke and seem to disappear every so often. I'm super busy with school so it's hard to open up some time to rp. But I'll get to replies soon!]
「 There’s no way he wouldn’t notice the sensation of eyes burning into him, especially when the moron decided to do it in broad daylight with an expression like a fish. Rui only bares it for a few moments before finally turning and aiming narrowed green eyes at the younger boy. Talk about creepy, not that he was in any position to talk. The silence only goes for so long, and the first thing out of the other’s mouth earns an honorary eye twitch. Who was this tall freak calling gross? 」
Kah, watch your fuckin’ manners, you brat.
Oops! Looks like he had been caught red handed in his little game of stare. Of course, Midousuji didn't particularly care. Why would he care? It wasn't like he was breathing on them! ..Okay, he's probably done that once or twice in the past, but still! He wasn't breathing on this guy!
Akira's lips cracked into a wide grin, a snicker slipping through those white chompers he called teeth. "Aah, you noticed. Sorry, you just.. caught my interest you see." Midousuji cracked his knuckles a bit, head tilting to the other side as he did so. His blackened pupils barely seemed to even flicker, still completely focused on the other.
"I would take this as a compliment, I don't usually pay this much attention to bystanders." Of course, the male took no issue in skirting around the issue of calling a stranger 'gross'. ..Maybe that was a compliment too?
lizardbacker started following you
[Yells because FELLOW LIZARD. HELLO ovo!]
".... .."
He squints, head tilting a bit to the side. What a peculiar looking individual. He squints a little bit harder, staring at the stranger nearby. Odd, very very odd, it wasn't often Midousuji saw people that reminded him of well, him. The young male really ought to learn his manners a bit more before he gets caught in the act.
"Gross."
Accidentally bumping into an 'acquaintance' in a convenience store is the worst possible thing. Especially if you're looking more like a hot mess than you usually do. You don't even wear makeup and your eyes look like the aftermath of a drunken club party, extra vodka and regret. Quick, put down the anime magazine and onigiri and slowly slip out of the store once you're done hiding behind the sunglasses kiosk. Try not to drool, it could become a slipping hazard.

Mom, I'll let you ride on the back of my bike, and cross the finish line. I'll win.
Makishima tried to give a comforting smile, but it just ended up coming out as some awkward lip movement. He sighed, giving up, and sat down across from the younger boy.
What was he doing here anyways? “Just visiting, I guess.” He did come to look at the fashions around town and get an idea of how it would help his future. But he didn’t want to think about the future right now. There was someone much more important than that.
Makishima could see straight through Midousuji’s lie. The boy had bags under his eyes, his posture was slouched in a way that told you something was not ok, and his eyes seemed so distant, almost as if he wasn’t here. It was quite unsettling to see someone so prideful look so crestfallen.
"Well who wouldn’t be after all that…"
"After all what?"
Midousuji's pupils constricted, now staring at the green haired male before him with an intensity resembling that of daggers. He knew what Makishima was talking about, but every mention of the race just brought back painful and bitter memories. A frown was visible behind his mask.
"Do not remind me of my failure. Lest I assume you only wish to secretly rub it in through a curtain of 'concern'." He narrowed his eyes, before leaning back once more. "That failure is a thing of the past, I just need to keep moving forward. I will not let a few zaku continue to pull me back into the memories. Memories that make me want to vomit." A few spindly fingers ran through his hair, pupils slowly dilating back to their usual size.
"..Yes.. moving forward."
For a moment, his hand gripped at his hair, tight enough to almost risk ripping it right out. He was sickly tempted to make a scene, a scene just like he always seemed to make. But ..out in the public masses was slightly different. Out in the racing field? Sure, he would act as wild as he wanted. It was the perfect intimidation technique. But not here, not now. ..Besides, he hadn't the strength to push himself up and go on a monologuing rampage.
His hand loosened.
".... How do YOU move forward? Or do you cling onto memories like an attached child to it's mother?"
Teasing you for Season 2
Midousuji Akira for theskyunderground
Rivals or not, Makishima couldn’t help but approach the tall cyclist. For some reason, he had felt bad for the other after her he heard what happened. Sure Makishima wasn’t one for pitying or any sort of comfort from others (he secretly enjoyed it sometimes, but would never admit it) when he was sad, and he was more than sure Midousuji hated it, but the guilt would constantly nag him if he didn’t take this opportunity.
Hearing Midousuji’s voice, Makishima stopped in his tracks and patiently listened. It almost seemed as if his voice was… empty? Like he was still in shock over what happened. Makishima couldn’t blame him. He knew what it felt to lose after working so damn hard for that one goal.
Hesitantly continuing, Makishima stood across from Midousuji. “Hey… Midousuji. Are you ok?” He wouldn’t dare sit down yet. Midousuji may not want him around.
"..Makishima-kun?" Eyes glanced up from the table before him, now studying the green haired male with an almost eery silence. For a moment, he was a bit speechless. Was he going to just push the other away? ...Was he here to rub in the fact that he LOST? Fingers twitched at the idea, lips tight. No, despite being rivals, Makishima was not a hot head like Imaizumi.
Eyes glazed, body relaxing a little, although he still appeared to be rather.. stiff. "..Yes, Makishima-kun. Hello. What is a spider doing around these parts?" He couldn't really chuckle at that, he simply glanced back down to the table, temporarily avoiding the question thrown at him.
How was he supposed to answer that? Lie through his teeth? He knew it was obvious that he looked no better than a dejected pet, the bags under his eyes heavier than usual. ..But did he still have enough pride to deny his dejection? ..Sure.
"I am alright, I'm surprised you are concerned for me at all."
