The Satanic Temple in particular is a great organization. They don’t believe religious organizations should be tax exempt, so they voluntarily pay taxes. They also sell merch and give a good chunk of the proceeds to things like Planned Parenthood and legal funds that fight for division of church and state.

Does anyone else kinda wish they could have 2 rooms? One for big them and one for little them? Cause I love my room but I feel like neither side of me is completely happy with it. It’s too smol for big me and too big for smol me.

I also kinda wish I could go to school. Kindergarten or preschool. To have circle time and story time and naptime. To go play at recess and make art and have a good time learning and making friends.

I have 2 rooms - one adult that has an office off the side of it, with a dual monitor, liquid-cooled PC. The little room is about 500sqft and is also off the main bedroom. It has a floor-ceiling window with a swing in front of it and a short table that was custom made for me for this room. People sit on floor pillows at it and it seats 4-6 people comfortably, but I’ve had as many as 8 playing CAH at it. The table has all my coloring books/colored pencils on it. There’s an easel with acrylic paints, watercolors, and sets of brushes for each. There’s a heated queen bed in an alcove with cafe string lights on a dimmer switch that goes around the inside of the alcove. There’s a TV mounted over the alcove on an adjustable swing-arm wall mount so I can watch TV in a comfortable position in bed, or from the coloring table/swing. There’s a basket of stuffies and a dresser filled with only “little” clothes. There are lots of microfiber blankets all over the place to wrap up in. There’s a bunch of hidden electrical/USB outlets hidden behind the furniture to allow me to charge my gaming laptop/MacBook/iPad Pro with the Apple Pencil.

There’s a bug craft station painted with chalkboard paint that holds my fabric, sewing machine, stamping supplies, Silhouette Cameo, chalk to color the whole station, scrapbooking supplies, glass dyeing and glass cutting supplies (I need Daddy’s help with the glass cutting though).

I also have a Butsudon (a kind of Buddhist shrine cabinet containing your butsugu, ihai, rin, scrolls and incense burners or candles). It’s where you meditate and should be in a peaceful place in your home. My husband and I have a rule that we don’t talk about things that make me anxious or uncomfortable in that room, nothing difficult, nothing that makes me panicky. So it made sense to put the Butsudon in there.

I like to sit in the swing and look down the street while reading on my Kindle Paperwhite.

It’s the place I go to when life is too hard. It has the only internal door that locks with a key and I’m the only one with a key. Daddy made this room for me as a present when I was diagnosed with a genetic disease a few years ago and first started having surgeries.

I’m having surgery tomorrow morning and I plan on spending most of my time recovering in that room. I love design and I’m full of ideas for little spaces - send me a message, I’d be happy to offer anyone suggestions. :)
