Spending Time in the Gardens

Ernest immediately walks into the kitchen where the head cook curtsies as she greets him “My lord”

“Hello there have got the tray ready?”

“Yes are you sure you wanna carry it? I mean one of the maids or servants can do it”

Ernest smiles “I’m sure she’ll love it if I surprise her like this” He grins as he carries the tray upstairs and heads to the bedroom and peaks in and still sees his wife Mia sleeping and slowly walks into the room carefully setting the tray on the nightstand

He kisses her softly on the cheek “Good morning my love” Mia stirs but doesn’t wake up he chuckles as he gently shakes her “Mia darling it’s time to wake up”

Mia doesn’t open her eyes but whispers “Ernest it’s too early”

Ernest laughs then smirks “Is it too early for me?”

Mia flutters her eyes open then she smiles “Never good morning”

“I’ve got something for you” He nods to the nightstand

Mia looks and grins “Is this for me?”

“Yes I had this prepared for you”

“Thank you it looks and smells amazing”

“Anything for my wife” He kisses her forehead then places the tray in her lap

Mia digs into the food then turns to Ernest “You want some?”

“Ooh no this is for you”

Mia giggles “Oh come on Ernest” She lifts the fork “Say ah”

Ernest chuckles as he opens his mouth and she feeds him “That is good”

“If I’m eating you must eat as well”

“Of course”

Mia smiles “What’s on the plan for today?”

“Nothing”

“Nothing?”

Ernest wraps an arm around her waist “I cancelled everything for today we really haven’t gotten any alone time”

Mia smiles “Ok what do you have in mind?”

Ernest kisses her hand “You’ll know when you eat your breakfast and get dressed I’ll wait for you downstairs” He hops off the bed and walks towards the door

“Ernest wait! I wanna know what you’re planning”

He smirks “That’s for me to know and for you to find out my love”

Mia giggles as he leaves and eats her breakfast

Mia heads down the stairs and sees Ernest he smiles “Beautiful as always”

“Thank you”

Ernest offers his arm “Shall we?”

“Yes we shall”

They walk out the door and into the gardens. Mia excitedly hold’s his arm and they stop when they come to an heart shaped banner of rose

“How did you do this Ernest?”

“I had the staff help me and they did a great job”

“Oh Ernest I love it”

“I’m glad I have one more thing”

Ernest reaches behind a bush and pulls out a painting. Mia’s eyes go wide as she sees the portrait of herself in the garden with Ernest

“This is beautiful”

“I know they did an amazing job” Mia’s eyes shine with tears and Ernest looks at her concern “My love are you ok”

“I’m just happy I have you you’re amazing” She throws her arms around him

Ernest hugs her back “Not as amazing as you I love you Mia”

“I love you too Ernest”

He kisses her deeply as they enjoy this moment together
