This is a Darkfire blog for @littlekoriandr we're probably going to get into some rough topics so be warned!

Kom is 16. When the Citadel attacked she did still care about her family and her people, she was just tired of being a curse. The Citadel used that to convince her to turn traitor. Now after 2 years with just the Citadel and growing more power than she ever had before, she hates her family. They're a threat to her new power and power needs to be delt with painfully. If you're going to be hated, might as well be feared as well ;)

Blackfire made a face as Kori hugged her. It was a disgusting show. Made sense for her vile little sister. she carefully hugged her back patting the child's back awkwardly. "Yes, yes, everyone is fine dear sister. They're all waiting for you back home!" They weren't or maybe they were, Darkfire didn't care about them. They were weak and unable to cause problems like her sister.

ehk, that squeal.. was something Darkfire could go a whole other lifetime without hearing again. "Your earth family? Koriand'r... Dearest sister... Did you replace us.?"

[ Kori's face fell as she pulled back from her sister. ]

No! No! I did not! They are—They say I am part of their family

I could never never ever replace our family! Do not be upset!

Darkfire had ti force herself not to laugh at that pathetic little face her sister made. Good. She shoukd feel bad. It wasn't her place to leave. "Dear sister, this would not be the same people who you have push poor Atro away from is?" She feigned concern. She couldn't care less about that boy or that little "family" of mistakes. She just needed her sister to agree to come back.

I did not! I will talk to Dad Leaf and everything will be okay again! Oh! I will introduce you to Dad Leaf and Brother John and—

[ The slap cut her off, sharp and stinging. It had been so long since she'd been struck like that that the sensation was a foreign, stunning shock. Kori stared at her sister, the world swimming as tears of pain and betrayal welled in her eyes. Her cheek bleeding a little from the sharp parts of her glove. ]

A brutal, cracking sound echoed as Darkfire's fist connected with her sister's jaw. Again and again and again. A sickening rhythm of flesh and bone. The pathetic little mewls and whimpers were just background noise, fuel for the fire raging in her chest."Fight back, you worthless insect!" Darkfire snarled, grabbing a handful of hair to yank the girl's head up. "Or is that all you're capable of? Hiding and crying like a frightened animal?"

She drove a knee into her sister's stomach, relishing the choked gasp that followed. "You think your tears mean anything? You think anyone cares?" She leaned in, her voice a venomous whisper. "You threw us away. You ran at the first chance you got and thought you were better than the filth that bred you." Darkfire backhanded her, sending a spray of blood spattering across the floor. "Look at you. Not a princess. Just a traitor. A coward. Mother always said you were the weak one. She told me to be strong, to be ready to break the rotten branches from the family tree."She laughed, a harsh, grating sound. "Consider this a pruning." Darkfire laughed as she lied. Their mother would never say something so cruel, especially about her precious Starfire but the look her pathetic little sister made was so utterly delightful.

[ Kori’s screams were not words anymore; they were raw, animalistic things, torn from a throat already ragged with pleas. ]

[ But the words shattered against a wall of pure hatred. The face looming over her was a grotesque mockery of memory. This was not the sister who painted constellations with her words in the Tameraean fields, who promised her the stars. That sister was dead, replaced by a creature that fed on her pain, its eyes blazing with a vicious, unholy joy. Every time Kori scrambled back, every flinch, every sob was met with a fresh impact.

A fist like a meteor, a kick that cracked ribs. She didn't want to fight! She didn't want this twisted game! But her body, trembling and slick with blood, remembered the old drills. Instinct, primal and desperate, took over. A flicker of green fire, weak and panicked, sparked from her palms, just as the rest of her body sparkled. Not to attack, just to create space, to survive, to get back to Lux, to home, to safety—

The retaliation was instantaneous and merciless.

A torrent of violent purple fire engulfed her face and throat as Komand'r held her face down to the ground. Kori's pathetic little attempts to get her to let go barely phase her. It was the bad fire. The fire that didn't cleanse; it clung, searing her skin, filling her mouth with the taste of ash and her own cooking flesh. Her scream was choked, silent agony as the poison flames scorched her airways. ]

Darkfire’s cackle was a serrated sound, cutting through the sizzle of Kori’s own cooking flesh. "See? Weak. Even your fire is a coward's flame." She leaned in, her voice a shout in Kori's burning ear. To be cruel and to make sure this world knew what was done to those who disappoint. "Tameran doesn't weep for a pathetic princess like you. It spits your name out like poison."

She straightened up, a predator looking down on crippled prey, her expression one of pure, unadulterated disdain. "It will be the stain on our family's honor, the day we wasted our mercy, our resources, our time, to come back for you." A low, mocking laugh escaped her lips. "Don't worry, dearest sister. I will make sure our people know the truth. I will tell them how you begged for your new life, how you thanked me for freeing you from the burden of being one of us."

She ground her heel into Kori's wounded side, replacing any sort of protest with a pathetic, strangled gasp. "They will mourn the sister they lost, but they will celebrate the warrior who had the strength to cut out the weakness. Your memory will be a lesson in what happens to traitors." She leaned down one final time, her smile a ghastly thing. "So go on, Kori. Run back to your gilded cage. It's all you were ever fit for."

[ A raw, silent scream tore through Kori, a protest that died in the ruin of her throat. No! It was not like that! But the words were ash. Her vision swam, the world dissolving into a pulsing, black-edged haze. Another pathetic whimper escaped her. The only sound she could make.

Brother John and Dad Leaf were right. The truth was a final, crushing weight. She wasn't strong enough to save her people. She wasn't even strong enough to earn her sister's respect, only her contempt. She was a failure, broken and bleeding in the dirt of a home that she had no right to. A home she invaded.

A fresh, white-hot agony exploded through her chest as Komand'r's boot came down on ribs. A sickening crackle echoed not in the air as her powers tried To protect her. Sparking to scare whatever was attacking her away but vibrant white spots on her skin flashed, dimmed, and were replaced by cold, dead black burns. Her light was being stomped out. The last thing she saw was her sister walking away. Then, without a sound, Komand'r simply flew. Her form cut a silhouette of pure triumph against the sky. When… when could she fly..?
