Yes this is about galsei. Galsei, or transfem ralsei, is a READING. Not an Headcanon. So much of the canon material makes sense and is resolved by this additional context, and it plays into the main themes of deltarune (predestination against free will). You may not believe it yet, as well as you are free to believe that eggs are fruit and humans produce juice. That’s not a valid objection though.

To clarify, I see Ralsei as a dragon-ungulate critter of sorts, so I call Ralsei a dragon often :3 I also see her as transfem like me!

Okay I know a lot of people didn't turn of voice clips during ch5 but omg I just saw the dialogue for when you do (before you get prompted). Flowery uses them off screen with Susie, and then tells Kris to turn them back on because Susie likes them. Ralsei visibly objects and then Flowery hits her with:

Jesus christ, legitimately ALL his ragebaiting was just trying to make Ralsei find her own agency, wasn't it?

Piles of Galsei's Evidence

Since I haven't seen anybody else do it (admittedly, I haven't looked that hard), I decided to compile all the big Transfem Ralsei stuff in Deltarune Chapter 5, since some people apparently still "don't see it." I hope this list makes it clear that it's almost certainly not just an allegory, and especially that Toby would have to be really stupid to not know what he was doing with Ralsei in this chapter. This is all the obvious in-text evidence I was able to find, but feel free to respond with additional evidence if you have any:

• The whole hidden Princess Ralsei scene in Castle Town locked behind the climbing game. The whole thing. All of it.

Ralsei says this: "Turns out the other princesses they put up here, mostly left..." "But, I can be your princess, Kris! If you want me to be!" [Source]

If you respond with "Nah bro...", they change their clothes back and say this: "Umm, okay! I suppose I do have more experience being a prince..." "I hope that will be sufficient for you!!" [Source]

If you respond with "Of course!": "Really!? Oh, I'm so excited!" "I've been a prince for a while, but I haven't been a princess yet." "I suppose the only difference is how you present yourself..." "But, it's fun to try new things, isn't it...?" "... as long as it's... what other people want, of course!" They also do a cute lil' pose and are clearly more excited by this option. [Source]

• Ralsei's introduction in Chapter 5 is them literally coming out of a closet (wardrobe, whatever). This closet is full of hats, something which is used pretty consistently as a symbol of repression for Ralsei.

• In the "Close eyes and think about Ralsei" scene, Flowery offers Ralsei a blue-and-pink drink voucher, saying they were "staring at it the longest." This is followed by the only instance of Flowery referring to just Ralsei specifically as "Princess," which seemingly makes Ralsei blush. Not to mention this scene features Ralsei praying into a pool of water at their own reflection... [Source]

I'd like to add onto this that, while yes, blue and pink are Kris and Susie's colors, the game never actually refers to Susie as being "pink" to my knowledge. I checked and I'm pretty sure she's only ever referred to as "purple," even in the Dark World. (I think Toby Fox is kinda colorblind and doesn't know Susie is pink tbh)

• During the battle with Pink, an extremely obvious trans allegory, Ralsei paraphrases something they said about themself in Chapter 4 to convince Pink to cooperate with her body: "Pink, your BODY... it's... its own person, too." "It has its own likes... its own dislikes." [Source]

Here's Ralsei's dialogue from Chapter 4, for comparison: "I'm starting to feel like..." "Like I'm developing my own opinions." "My own likes." "My own dislikes." [Source]

• At the end of Chapter 5, the Power Menu refers to Ralsei with they/them pronouns: "LV 5 Dark Vine" "Watering their own thorns." [Source]

This has never been the case in previous chapters. For instance: "LV1 Prickly Prince" "Deals damage with his rugged scarf." [Source]

• Asgore refers to Ralsei with they/them pronouns at the end of Chapter 5. This is the first time a character hasn't immediately recognized Ralsei as a boy. What he says when you talk to him twice is also very interesting:

"(Kris's other friend...)" "(It's strange. At a glance, they look a bit like Asriel...)" "(But, the longer you look...)" "(The harder it is to tell if they're a monster at all.)" [Source]

"(Even if they look that way, Kris accepts them...)" "(I hope they realize they don't have to hide themself.)" [Source]

Here's the point of all this: Galsei believers aren't trying to "take away" femboy Ralsei, they're just paying attention to some pretty on-the-nose subtext the game is laying out. Both interpretations of the character are good and valid, but Ralsei's struggle with identity and personhood is core to their character and one that many trans people resonate with. If Ralsei was trans, it would add even more depth and complexity to their character and their choice to defy the prophecy. Not to mention, it would be wonderful representation!
