If you were going to watch a film tonight, let it be Persepolis. 

Its an animated French film (with eng subtitles) told from the perspective of an Iranian girl during the Islamic Revolution. I loved everything about this film; its attitude and narrative was perfect and the mix of political, religious and personal morals & ethics throughout made it a very interesting film. 

(The title, “Persepolis,” means “Persian City” in Greek. Persepolis was an actual ancient city that existed in Persia. Its ruins still stand in southern Iran today.)
