Book Reddie is so pure like Eddie sees this contradictory, loud mess of a human being and is in awe of him. They are the defenition of a 'I wish you saw yourself the way I see you' couple like they both think they're dating someone completely out of their league.

Book Reddie is my favourite for sure! I love that Eddie’s relationship with Richie in the book is such a contrast to his relationship with Bill. Like, Eddie is both awed and confused by Richie’s antics (I can’t help but picture kid!Richie doing something weird or pulling out his voices and little baby Eddie staring at him intently, brows furrowed, and thinking “I do not understand this kid at all, but…I wanna see him more *chin hands*”) and definitely looks up to him to a degree, but it’s much more grounded/equal. He doesn’t lionize Richie and isn’t afraid to call him out when he’s being too much of a dick, which I don’t ever see him doing with Bill (I doubt Eddie even notices that Bill has flaws). But also, he ponders over him all. The. Time. Like seriously, Eddie should just buy a “What Would Richie Do” bracelet at the rate he’s like “Oh, that reminds me, Richie Tozier.” in the book, it’s great. 

This is probably very incoherent, I just have a lot of feelings about book Reddie 😔
