Stop dog fighting! Stop BSL! Stand up for those innocent souls that don’t have a voice of their own to defend themselves.
“Sorry we couldn’t save you.”
From vegans to all creatures who have died at the hands of man (via animal-rights-awareness)
New design for @compassionco <3 a tribute to our sea friends, which are as beautiful and amazing as the furry ones, and deserve as much attention :)

Try to eat a dead pig that hasn’t been spiced-up or “cured”. It doesn’t taste good at all. It’s only the salt, the herbs and the spices (in some cases the mold) that give it that “good taste” in the first place. It is appalling that in an age where we can create (and do in fact have) flavorful vegetable based foods that taste like pigs, cows, chickens and other spice-up animal parts, in an age where continued ”meat” production” is ecologically devastating and contributes to the murder of the planet that sustains us, that we still practice this kind of barbarism for a quickly passing tastebud pleasure. Go vegan.
You can legally: •hang hogs to death •grind male chicks at birth •beat a piglet’s brains out
But it’s already illegal in 6 states to film animal cruelty in farms in fear of running animal agriculture into the ground.
“but veganism is extreme”
Why vegans live longer
PETA Is A Joke
I’m sorry, but this is so fucking stupid. PETA is claiming that this is what a sheep looks like after it has been sheared. In case you were wondering, this is what a sheep ACTUALLY looks like after it has been sheared:
And that isn’t some “best case” scenario, believe me, I live in a place that has more sheep than people, and all sheared sheep look like that. It does not hurt the animal at all, aside from perhaps the odd slip with the shears resulting in a minor graze. In fact, shearing sheep is necessary for their wellbeing, because domesticated sheep do not shed their wool like a non domesticated sheep would, which can to them looking like this:
This is Shrek, yes, that is actually his name, notice how you can’t see his legs or face? That’s not good. He is a sheep who escaped his field and went wandering for six years, resulting in a sixty pound fleece. This is actually dangerous because it can cause overheating and if they get on their back the weight stops them from getting up again, they can die from this. PETA really cares about money and attention more than animals.
So yeah, fuck PETA, buy wool…and while you’re at it buy some goddamn honey because the bees need the help.
After Shrek was sheared:
HES SMILING
I legitimately teared up at this
Yup. That's the story of every sheep! And yes! Go ahead, use the bees and steal their honey for your own profit while you're at it :)
I can't believe how stupid people are these days. The sheep has that much wool since people BREED them to have it. Of course you need to cut their wool or that will happen! But have you ever seen how uggs are made for example? This is NOT the story of all sheep!!!! I live right next to a sheep farm, and this picture shown is the only happy sheep I've ever seen. EVER. And for the people who delete most comments on this post - you need to see both sides. Don't close your eyes for the harsh ones. You can never know exactly where the wool comes from, maybe your jacket is made from a sheep who has had a horrible life. Then it's just better not buying it all. And the honey, what ever that has to do with wool (?), it's not ours. It's not for humans. WHY. IS. THIS. SO. HARD. FOR. PEOPLE. TO. UNDERSTAND?! Do not eat what is not yours. Do not steal what is not yours.
And also. PETA does way more good things than bad. Everything isn't good, but they sure help allot of animals! Probably more than you ever have.
Now go eat you veggies and leave animals out of it.
One common complaint vegans have is that animal products seem to be hiding everywhere. Did you know that they may even be hiding in things like wine and other adult beverages?
Barnivore is a great resource for finding vegan beverages. You can even help them keep their database up to date!
10 facts about eating animals and the impact it has on our world:
1. 13% of global greenhouse gas emissions are caused by the transport sector, whereas a gigantic 51% are from livestock and their byproducts. Animal agriculture contributes more to emissions than the entire world’s transport combined, including ALL road, rail, air and marine vehicles. 2. One hamburger takes 660 gallons to make, which is the equivalent of showering for two months straight. This is because of the massive amount of water that is needed to grow the grain to sustain a cow to slaughter weight, plus all the water that cows drink daily on top of that. 3. The meat and dairy industries used 1/3 of earth’s fresh water. Animal agriculture is a massive contributor to draughts and is the leading cause of water pollution. Global animal agriculture results in the use of up to 76 TRILLION gallons of water every year. 4. 91% of Amazon destruction is caused by animal agriculture, mostly cattle crazing. Approximately 1-2 acres of rainforest are cleared every SECOND. Approximately 110 animal and insect species are lost every day from rainforest destruction. 5. A vegan diet cuts your carbon footprint by roughly 50%. 6. Every minute, 7 million pounds of excrement are produced by animals raised for food in the US. A farm of 2,500 cows produces as much waste as a city of 411,000 people. Waste storage is often insufficient because of the sheer amount and leads to toxic water pollution and the spreading of disease. 7. Livestock covers 45% of the earth’s TOTAL land. 8. To feed one person for one year, a meat eater needs 18 times as much land as a vegan. 1.5 acres of land can be used to make 37,000 pounds of plant-based food or just 375 pounds of meat. 9. For every 1 pound of fish caught, 5 pounds of unintended marine species are caught and discarded as by-kill. This includes whales, dolphins, porpoises, sharks, turtles, seals, birds, etc. A team of scientists predict we will have fishless oceans by as early as 2048 because of overfishing. 10. 82% of starving children live in countries where crops grown there are fed to animals, and then those animals are eaten by wealthier western countries.

This is what a NORMAL human being does, when he or she realizes that they are causing suffering or death to other beings for NO reason…. They stop it.
