Something came over me and suddenly I'd made this :3
🍎🍏🌞 went apple picking last weekend! (but didn't actually pick any apples... :c they didn't have my fav kind so we couldn't justify buying a bag and waiting in that god-awful long line to pay for it.)
It’s mine and @awkward-smirks‘s birthday!! I’m 19 now! Happy birthday, Sandy! <3
✨ graduation moodboard ✨
(i wrote out a longer caption, but tumblr deleted it so oh well. tl;dr - i graduated last friday! ^^)
do NOT reblog or steal photos... they are literally of me ಠ_ಠ

hi! last semester of undergrad, dudes! 🥲 college has not been the bEsT fOuR yEaRs of my life or whatevaaaaa, but i definitely gained SO MUCH self-confidence & freedom. :')
November 13, 2021
Sharing this screenshot of my finsta because November has been so good to me so far. :') My finsta is honestly a nicer place than my main account because I basically use it as my aesthetic camera roll / photo dump space. No one follows me so I'm not catering to anyone's taste but my own & and I'm not worried about spamming people! (Weekly update below!)
🌷 6/100 Days of Productivity 🌷
1.24.21 — Luz's favorite flowers are tulips. :') Since I bought some from the Forest store yesterday, we decided to do a little study session so we could both plant them in our gardens. I really appreciate having a friend who is on the same track as me academically. I finished a quiz and installed the last of the programs I needed for my Database Design class so I'm pretty prepared for tomorrow's classes. I also finished a calendar for my major's student organization so we can arrange for guest speakers soon!
3 years later and they FINALLY open the new library!!! Top floor is off access for now but I can't wait to explore it!!!

⛅ 5/100 Days of Productivity ⛅
1.23.20 — Went to the bank with my father and siblings! It was literally 32°F and freezing outside. Anyway, I'm currently working on questions for my Professional Development class. (I would add pictures, but it's literally just my laptop screen...) My professor wants us to practice interview questions and I'm winging this assignment. 😭 If you have interview tips, please let me know. Ya girl is struggling.
(Shoutout to my friend Moon for the mask. It's my favorite bc look at the cute pattern! 🥺💞)
🏹 4/100 Days of Productivity 🏹
1.22.21 — I didn't do my typical "day of productivity" post but I got a good bit of work done today! :') I'll still count it as 4/100 even if I don't have any pictures. I added one of my favorite quotes from "The Song of Achilles" just as media and because I had time to relax and read today. 💘
🖤 3/100 Days of Productivity 🖤
1.21.21 — These are some ugly photos, but today's classes were draining so please forgive me. :( I'm counting today as productive because I finally did the one (1) task I was dreading the most — buying textbooks. It is so much effort because I have to 1) see if it was really necessary to purchase one, 2) compare prices between websites, and 3) put myself through the mortifying ordeal of being known by asking if any of my classmates want to split the price. But I got all that done and talked to my dad about finances afterwards.
I also called G and we talked for three hours. :') It was so good to hear her voice. I adore her with my whole heart and it really made this semester feel a little better. 🥺💕
a lil studyspo since i start classes tomorrow ☺️🤎
🍓 2/100 Days of Productivity 🍓
1.20.21 — Going back to school means being social again (which I lowkey missed.) I emailed a couple of my professors, zoomed with a classmate to sort out our classes, messaged the rest of my e-board members and texted my best friend (G) from university for hours. :') We're planning to call tomorrow so we can scream about how our first week back is going. ♡ I adore her and I'm so excited to chat. I also took some (chaotic) notes earlier to prepare for tomorrow's classes. I'm hoping this semester is better. 🍀
Other than that, I've been making a lot of strawberry nutella crepes with my siblings. :^)
🌌 1/100 Days of Productivity 🌌
1.19.21 — First day of classes, y'all! I was really nervous for this semester, but dude! The two classes I had today were so interesting. One of my favorite professors from last semester is instructing them both, and I adore her teaching style. I'm so excited about this content! :) I just need to order textbooks soon. 😖
(Shoutout to my friend Luz who bought me the Among Us plushie. c: I named her Lilac!)
every year we have to say it
how do you cram? i know i shouldn’t, but i have a hue test coming up tomorrow and i already did poorly on the first one. my teacher is terrible so i’m having to learn everything on my own. how to you stay up late to take in as much information as possible?
hey there anon!
i hope i’m replying in time ahh. i’ve never crammed before so take my advice with a grain of salt however i will do my best to help.
how to cram (crash course)
know what will be on the test and make a simple outline
with limited time, creating the simplest possible outline of all the topics/questions that will appear on the test is the best way to go… instead of going through every single topic where only 75% of the information will appear on the exam.
group related questions under one topic to avoid confusing yourself and to be more organised. look through past exercises, homework, worksheets and highlight + take note of the recurring questions. they will most likely be on the exam.
example outline:
unordered
make sure to add questions for each subtopic - this will prevent you from wondering what to study about the subtopic and will provide a clear guide
extension questions are worth more marks (e.g 10)
Periodic Table Trend
Atomic radius
“Identify and explain the periodic trend of atomic radius”
prioritise
reorder the topics you’ve written down from least to most understood. as you’ve already recognised that they’ll most likely be on the exam, it’s time to know which ones you need to focus on first.
(note: consider which topics/questions (i.e. extended response) will have the most marks. some topics may be worth more marks than others and may require more of your attention.)
divide your priorities and allocate time
now that you know what you need to study it’s time to know how much time you’ll spend on each topic. ask yourself how much time overall you will spend cramming. from there allocate time according to the order of your list.
Least
structure of an atom - 15-30mins
Most
explaining periodic trends - 30mins for each trend
familiarise yourself with question styles
it’s super important to familiarise yourself with question styles while revising as it will affect your ability to recall information. your exam won’t ask you for a definition or a simple formula and will definitely do everything it can to make the question as confusing as possible.
create a summary / cheatsheet
now that you’ve addressed all topics and answered all of your questions create a summary that condenses all of this information. it’s simply unrealistic to try and remember every response you wrote, every formula and every definition… however, by creating a summary you’re essentially boiling down these concepts to their most basic form.
turn a paragraph response to a sentence or two or even a few dot points. during the exam this should guide you on how you’ll formulate your response. instead of trying to remember, word for word, a response you wrote at 1am, the dot points will cover the ideas you need to write about.
Atomic Radius
decreases left to right across period
increases down group
increasing protons and electrons
proton effect > electron effect -> electron pulled towards nucleus -> smaller radius
advice on staying up late
know your limits
while studying for your big exam is extremely important, you have to recognise when it’s time to stop. as soon as words stop making sense have a break, have a kitkat (don’t sue me).
nap + water + food
schedule in your breaks (i.e naps) when considering your outline. while studying drink water and make sure to have (healthy) food at the ready! things like carrot and cucumber sticks, sandwiches or fruit are ideal.

how late is late? i recommend sleeping after 2am. please please please get some sleep. you might think staying up late to study is the best option but doing so will severely impact your memory retention for the next day.
i recommend this quick read. short and sweet but provides good tips!
the art of cramming.
