DAMN SON
Redditorās wife knitted a beautiful star chart shawl.
this is the pattern i just reblogged the ravelry link to, except they apparently left out the yarnover eyelets, and i think i like it better.
Now including levitation and self-packing and -unpacking!
But donāt, like, talk to it. That would just be weird.
Yeah, that tends to make people give you sideways looks.
carmela/jack harkness (when she's of age) no AU just rocking space together
"Okay, split up. Ā This is a war zone, so keep your eyes peeled, and whoever rescues the hottest alien and uses the best pickup line gets to pick the scenario tonight."
"Oh, you areĀ so on.ā
I love that the dialogue isnāt labeled, because it works for either of them saying either line. Brilliant, simply brilliant.
EVERYTHING I HAVE EVER WANTED
PLEASE WRITE MOOOOOORE
WELL OKAY, TWIST MY ARM.
"Hi, Iām Captain Jack Harkness, and I think itās time we blew this joint," he said to the coruscating cloud of yellow and pink. Ā He threw one arm around what might be a shoulder-equivalent and used the other to detonate a small explosive located strategically beneath an enemy ambush. Ā It produced a satisfying ball of flame, so he grinned and winked at the whatever-it-was, which turned pinker and vibrated a little. Ā "And you are?"
Twenty meters away Carmela narrowed her eyes and turned on the hairdryer function on her curling iron. Ā She shook out her long locks and turned the dryer so they fanned attractively out behind her. Ā āHey there pal,ā she purred at the alien in front of her, which appeared to have retreated inside some kind of shell for protection, āThese explosions are really cramping my style. Ā Wanna take it somewhere a little more private?ā Ā An eye on a stalk poked out of a small crack in the shell, so she turned on her best mega-watt smile, āIāve got a fast ship, a curling iron, and a permanent gating function. Ā Whaddaya say?ā
Bringing this back in honour of DD saying that Carmelaās potential sexuality could challenge Captain Jack. Ā CHALLENGE IS RIGHT MOTHERFUCKERS. Ā The game is on.
'Mela, have you seen this?
Powers That Be, Kit was reading over my shoulder and I have never seen a face turn that red so quickly!Ā
I still don't quite understand
DoctorĀ who?
Dairine/Roshaun for the first set of questions, and then Clark/Lois for the second set; if you have the time/inclination.
Big spoon/little spoon: Youād think itād be Roshaun, since heās both very tall (freakinā bisho anime prince) and bossy, but no. No. Dairine is grabby.
Favorite non-sexual activity: Honestly I canāt imagine them having sexual activities? Since theyāre both quite young. But uh, besides wizardry? Arguing.
Who uses all the hot water: Roshaun. Dairine is baffled by this until she sees how many hair care products Roshaun has.
Most trivial thing they fight over: Whether or not Roshaun needs that many hair care products.
Who does most of the cleaning: Dairine, when she remembers to.
What has a season pass on their dvr/who controls the netflix queue: Dairine always has the remote, because Roshaunās never had television before and he gets carried away.
Who calls up the super/landlord when the heatās not working: Neither. They can fix it themselves most of the time with wizardry.
Who steals the blankets: Dairine. I mean, neither one of them is used to sharing a bed, but Iāve always figured that Dair moves around a lot in her sleep, inevitably getting tangled up.
Who leaves their stuff around: Roshaun. Heās used to having servants to pick up after him. Not that Dairineās much better.
Who remembers to buy the milk: Dairine. Servants again.
Who remembers anniversaries: Here theyāre actually pretty even; they both forget about fifty percent of the time.
Letās not be unreasonable about the hair, shall we? The Sunlord is expected to look presentable, and proper hairstyling is an integral part of oneās personal appearance. I do not even go in for styles as elaborate as those sported by certain of my predecessors, or else I would take much longer.
(Youāre right, thoughāDairineĀ isĀ grabby.)
Believe it or not, she used to beĀ worse when she was younger. The few times we shared a bed as kids I'd wake up covered in bruises...

Kit joked about trying to climb it once. I don't think so, Rodriguez.

Grass is usually pretty cheerful, actually. They don't mind getting cut nearly as much as you would think!
I was browsing Wikipedia and stumbled across this GIF, which was captioned, "Olbersā Paradox in action."

Olberās Paradox is the coolest thing ever.
Cool in theory. In person, a bit more unnerving.
Found! 3 Super-Earth Planets That Could Support Alien Life
The habitable zone of a nearby star is filled to the brim with planets that could support alien life, scientists announced today (June 25).
An international team of scientists found a record-breaking three potentially habitable planets around the star Gliese 667C, a star 22 light-years from Earth that is orbited by at least six planets, and possibly as many as seven, researchers said. The three planet contenders for alien life are in the starās āhabitable zoneā ā the temperature region around the star where liquid water could exist. Gliese 667C is part of a three-star system, so the planets could see three suns in their daytime skies.

Oh, I've been there! Stopped by on our way chasing a certain someone halfway across the universe. Very friendly locals, although we didn't get much time for chitchat.
Cousins, Iām going to try a new wizardry that will practically makeĀ fertilizerĀ redundant.
Best of luck, Filif!
wait no, here's a better one: library card, telescope, charm bracelet, orange soda, picture of the Callahans and Rodriguezes together
Aww! Yeah, I think this the best one. Although if you could add Tom and Carl and Peach and the dogs in there too, itād be perfect.
library card, orange soda, a picture of your family, a picture of the Rodriguezes, a charm bracelet
Pretty good! I think thatād get me :)
Books, Books, A telescope, Kit, Books
Ha ha, yes, that would do it. Although I wouldnāt mind if you put in some ice cream too.
anon me 5 things you would put on a pentagram to summon me
Well this could get interestingā¦
is anyone even still up
oh man
I like this one. Best answer wins a prize.

Dammitall⦠I canāt leave town for four days and this stuff starts happening. (eyeroll) CUT IT OUT.
IT WAS AN EXPERIMENT! Ā And I got it approved. Ā Sort of. Ā I mean, nobody actually told me I couldnāt do it, and I totally told Tom and Carl what I was planning. Ā Well, I mentioned it. Ā To Annie. Ā But the koi said it was okay, I think! Ā
But I had to try anything. Ā Everything. Ā You understand, right? Ā And thereās no permanent damage, or even instability⦠I was careful.
Man, I think this is the first time Iāve actually annoyed the Author, this is definitely one for the records.
Dairiiiiiine...
Sometimes I honestly question the Powers' decision with you.
