REBLOG.
FOREVER.
This is an actual Therapist Recommended method for dealing with a runaway “inner critic” and this comic is perfect ❤️
Yeah tell’em off 😡
I'll never understand why in library apps, where all there is is data and no physical copy, there's a wait list for the books.
It's because your library needs to pay for an ebook, whichever can only be used by one user at a time. Publishers have begun to limit the number of copies of an ebook (or audio book) a library can own and how many times they can be checked out, too.
Taking this opportunity to signal boost the ALA (American Library Association) petition to Macmillan Publishers, who are restricting library access to ebooks even more.
https://ebooksforall.org/
They have limited libraries of all sizes to one ebook for the first 8 weeks of a book’s release. It’s awful and profit-grabbing and limits access to people who rely on libraries for content they need or want. Please sign!
Get his billionaire ass
you're not bad with money you're just living in a society that underpays you, overcharges you, then gaslights you into feeling guilty for needing to eat
It’s so fucked up that someone who works 8 hours per day should feel guilty for spending / can’t afford to spend 10$ that day on a drink and snack
the gender fluids...

barbie is Bi.
Of course she’s bi what straight woman wears a jean button up shirt
the B in LGBT stands for Barbie
Let’s not forget that this photo is canon. And anyone who assumes that she’s just being an ally will have to fight me
At least we still have Bi Barbie
Remember: you can’t spell BarBIe without Bi!
<3 I hope Barbie and her girlfriends are doing okay right now <3
Barbie is also poly-amorous and ken is absolutely ok with this. Evidence:
He’s Ken’s buddy™️
just bros bein guys bein dudes amiright
i’m………
14th century doctors be like “i don’t know what’s wrong with you but you’re a woman so i diagnose you with witchcraft”
19th century doctors be like “i don’t know what’s wrong with you but you’re a woman so i diagnose you with hysteria”
21st century doctors be like “i don’t know what’s wrong with you but you’re a woman so i don’t believe anything is wrong with you and won’t diagnose you”
That’s not entirely fair. Sometimes they also diagnose you as “fat.”
Every artist who sees this post should do the following:
- Watch the video.
- Follow the instructions
- Reblog
I can’t stress you enough about how important these exercises are for your drawing hand. You don’t wanna get CTS of Tendonitis and similar stuff that will prevent you from making art or even hold a pencil.
Okay, this guy is my HERO. I just did these exercises as I watched the video, and already my arms and hands feel better. I have a degenerative tendon disease that prevents my muscles, tendons and ligaments from retaining their elasticity, and so anything that maintains the health of my bendy parts is important.
I URGE YOU. Even if you don’t draw, do these several times a day. Even just sitting at a computer can do serious damage. My dad, who was a rugby player, a carpenter, and now a handyman, suffered from severe carpal tunnel syndrome, simply as a result of sitting at the computer at the end of the day to play a little solitaire. Don’t let it happen to you!
((Guys, I will reblog this like, 5 times a day just so you all will see this. This is REALLY helpful, and it’s quick and easy.))
Wow, these are REALLY helpful. And yes, this is not just good but IMPORTANT for more than artists — if you type a lot, play a lot of video games, do anything that requires lots of repetitive movements of your hands, wrists, and arms (gardening, sewing, factory work), these can help. Even if you don’t yet get pain these are a great preventative measure, because the damage builds up over time. Youth is no protection.
And like he says, you should feel a stretch, but don’t push it too far!
Signal boosting. Guys, I just did this and holy cow do I feel incredibly light and limber in my arms. Again, even if you don’t have any sort of disease, do this as a preventative measure.
guys, i have carpal tunnel, and work a job where i have to type for 8 hours, and also draw sometimes. these are awesome. also this pdf is magical as well.
Any time someone tells me birds aren’t descended from dinosaurs, I show them this.
damn, half of my original characters is looking like this xd
what do you call this color gradient?
black to the fuchsia
hey, not to be the one wielding the 'studio-led sequel culture strips out the message of the original work' sword, but i feel like there's a parable out there about corporations ignoring scientific advice in the face of endangering the masses for profit, and i just can't remember what it is.
Avoid video games that use extrinsic motivation. A video game should at least mostly rely on intrinsic motivation, meaning that the playing of the game itself is the fun part, not the reward you get for playing the game. If you don’t enjoy the gameplay, but you want to earn lootboxes, you’ve fallen into the intentionally exploitative system operating within so many games nowadays, and you need to find another game, because you’re not having fun.
It doesn’t sound serious, but this kind of thing can make depression way worse if you’ve already got depression.
This post got me to stop playing Overwatch and I’m eternally grateful.
That’s also a core difference between a game trying to exploit the human brain’s tendency toward gambling addiction and a game that exists to entertain.
Like, it may sound like I’m reaching, but op described (pretty closely) the operation of gambling addictions. It’s also why the depression aspect is so real. You’re feeling a withdrawal, of a sort, when you can’t play the game.
Seriously, keep an eye out for this stuff!
And don’t buy random egg toys :(
does anyone else get mischievous joy out of being nice sometimes? like “Haha, I knew you were going to be hungry so I got you your favorite food so I can surprise you with it being ready when you get here GOT YOU”
#YES!! #its like. it feels like scheming #but love scheming… #the scheme is i want u to be happy (via @calmdownthehawk)
