Sometime in 2012, I reached out to the author of my favorite Sherlolly fanfic, very shyly sharing a (frankly embarrassingly crude) drawing based on the last chapter I had read of her story. I was actually terrified of doing so, since I hadn’t really drawn anything in a REALLY long time, and while I had done some sketches here and there, this is the first time I ventured to share a scene from a fanfic. It’s not even faithful to the scene! *facepalm*

Thankfully, this author was gracious and kind and the rest, as we say, is history. 

It’s been 10 years since then, and as we wrap up 2022, I wanted to reminisce for a moment and I re-drew my original drawing (which I actually cannot find a copy of since it was at least 2 blogs ago). Thank you @strawberrypatty for sharing your story and your friendship with me. It’s been so great!

I’ve been MIA, mostly because life and my brain, but Sherlolly continues to bring me joy. Anyway, I have been struggling with drawing lately, so I’m not super excited about this one, but I hope you all like it!

The Holmes Children

Hamish Michael Holmes (age 19)

The eldest of the bunch. It cannot be denied he is Sherlock’s son and although he has the intelligence of a Holmes, his compassion and understanding undoubtedly makes him Molly’s. He finds love in anything space related and has a passion for piano. He is protective of his sister and his brother is his best friend. All in all he is the most likable, if not lovable, of the Holmes children.

William Victor Holmes (age 17)

The middle child of the Holmes children. His sweet and innocent face is a perfect mask for his wild and adventuress self. He loves puzzles and pranks. And like his father he also has a love for “the game”. He will do anything for his family yet he isn’t always desirable. He is in short a jokester with all the charm and wit of a Holmes man.

Elizabeth Louise Holmes (age 13)

The baby of the group. She’s sweet and loving like her mother but stubborn like her father. She knows she’s daddy’s little princess but she isn’t the typical girly girl. Though that never stops her from having her way when it comes to her father and brothers. Her goal is to become the world’s very best consulting detective.

I don’t mean to overstep but have you seen Tarjei Sandvik Moe play Isak Valtersen? Because he is the perfect sherolly kid (as pointed out by someone else)

Molly: *sighs* I suppose not. I'm only nine weeks gone so I'm not really telling people yet. I don't mind you knowing, though.

Mary: ...

Mary: Molly...I meant your promotion.

Molly: *eyes widen* Oh my God-

Mary: *grinning* Who's the father?

Molly: Mary-

Mary: *excited* Is it that new surgeon you fancy? Oh God, it's not Tom, is it? Oooh, is it Sherlock? Please tell me it's Sherlock.

Sherlock: *enters; on his phone* What's me?

Molly: *squeaks* Nothing.

Mary: Just trying to work out who Molly's baby-daddy is.

Sherlock: *texting* Oh. Well, unless Molly has slept with anyone other than me since-

Molly: *blushing madly* I'm right here, you know. And no, of course I haven't.

Sherlock: *nods; happily* In that case, I'm going to be a Dad.

John: *standing in the doorway, holding coffees; confused* Jeeze, how long was I gone?

Molly: *pointing a spatula at him* Well first off they are nine and seven year old boys, and secondly they’re yours!

Sherlock: *looking up from his paper in sarcastic tone* Fascinating how they’re always ‘mine’ when convenient...

Molly: Go check on them!

Sherlock: *rubbing his forehead* Molly honestly, they’re probably —

*loud crash heard from upstairs*

Sherlock: *shakes his head* Molly Hooper, I need to ask *hesitates* will- will you... *sighs; ruffles his hair in frustration*

Rosamund: *enters the living room; rubbing her eyes* Uncle Sherlock? What's up?

Sherlock: *sighs* Nothing. I need to ask your Aunt an important question and...I'm worried about the answer.

Sherlock: *pats her head fondly* I knew I could count on you, Rosie.

Molly: *calls* Hellooo? I've brought that liver you wanted.

Sherlock: *tucks the ring into his pocket; breathes deeply* Wish me luck.

Rosamund: *shakes her head* You don't need it, Uncle Sherlock *leaves for her dad's old room*

Molly's Colleague: *leaning on her bench* Have you heard of Platform 9 and 3/4? Because I can think of something else with the exact same measurements.

Sherlock: *glances at him; scowling*

Molly: *laughs, playfully pushes his arm* In that case, my name may not be Luna, but I sure know how to Lovegood!

Molly's Colleague: *nudges her* Interested in making some magic together? My wand is at the ready *winks*

Sherlock: *urgently clears his throat*

Molly: *rolls her eyes* I'll see you later, Stephen. Duty calls.

Molly's Colleague: *nods* Right, Mol. See you later *leaves*

Molly: *folds her arms* What?

Sherlock: *shrugs; nonchalant* This is a workplace.

Molly: *frowns* So?

Sherlock: Well, it's...inappropriate.

Molly: So is barging into the women's locker rooms to ask for some toes-

Sherlock: That happened once.

Molly: *leans closer; narrows her eyes* What's the real reason, Sherlock Holmes?

Sherlock: ...

Sherlock: *sighs* I didn't like it.

Molly: *smirks* Why not?

Sherlock: *looks up at her* Because I've fallen under your spell.
