spotted in the streets of brooklyn, itâs NATHANIEL TAYLOR. they have lived in the city for THIRTEEN YEARS, working as a PROFESSOR. the 29 year old will probably be seen around WILLIAMSBURG a lot, seeing as thatâs where they live. people say they can be a bit CRITICAL and a SENSITIVE, but friends know them to be CREATIVE and PASSIONATE. you know for sure youâve found them when youâve come across the smell of fresh brewed coffee in the morning, the scratch of a stylus pen hitting a blank paper, an evening bike ride across the park. welcome to brooklyn, itâs been waiting for you!

nathaniel taylor has always been someone that enjoyed the beauty of everything. from the arts to sports, he tried it all. but his interest for it was thanks to his older three brothers, who all were a bit different from the other. nathaniel knew he was different growing up, and he was good at being a chameleon. he always seem to fin interest in everything because he wanted to have something in common with other people. that and he cared a lot about the memories he'd make.
growing up in a farm, there was always something to do. and being in a big family, there was always a bit of chaos too. but he never mind it. he often missed it when a brother would go off to college. and although, nathaniel could easily thrive on his own, he missed his brothers dearly the moment they weren't around. it wasn't the same when his third eldest brother left that he realized how lonely he was. but he focused on his studies, the sports he was in, but also writing.
the moment he turned fifteen, he was exceptional at two things, creative writing and lacrosse. that was when a recruiter from a private school in the united states had found interest in nathaniel to come play for him. and it helped that he had high marks at school, granting him a full scholarship to attend the school. it had enticed nathaniel, but there was a part of him that worried for his parents, leaving them behind already. but they wanted what was best for their children, and they felt this was a lifetime opportunity for him.
it was a culture shock, but he had loved the states, and the things that came with it. and he had made some amazing friends out there. and he knew that even though lacrosse may not be something he'd do forever, he enjoyed playing for the school, winning them state championships and bringing trophies back to their school.
college was about the same. he had places that offered him athletic scholarships, but he knew that his love for writing ultimately what he wanted to do. when he was accepted to columbia university, he joined the lacrosse team while also focusing in the writing program they offered. it was the best of both worlds. but ultimately as he got older, the focus had shifted to just doing writing. and he was at the point where he started writing manuscripts of his own. a novel that mirrored his life, but with a fictional twist.
nathaniel was a novelist at age twenty-three, and he had a sequel story by age twenty-six. he was thriving. and he was ready to continue writing more. books about magic, and family bonds, and a brotherhood. it had even gotten attention from his alma mater. another opportunity was presented by them. and teaching was now another thing he had to add of all the things he had done in his life.

    CONNECTIONS
childhood friend now frenemy - the one friend that he grew up with, where they both dreamed big. and both ended up at the same college, even after they were apart for a few years. they weren't the biggest fan of each other. they might not be that now.
childhood friend, found family - this is the opposite of who the frenemy is. possibly they were all a triad? this person is like a brother/sister to them, and they will always have each other's back. this person is probably always in the middle of the two frenemies.
first love - the one person that he has ever truly loved that got away. they were high school sweethearts, and when they graduated from high school they went on their separate ways. but perhaps their paths have hit once again?
ride or die - this is a friend he had met in columbia ( maybe just new york/brooklyn), the one that became his true best friend. this is the person that gets him out of his shell.
"Oh wow it stinks when you are wrong. I'm sorry to hear that you are a basic bitch." Xavier shook his head as he looked at him. Okay, but the best flavor is Spicy Sweet Chili." Xavier mentioned to Nathaniel while looking at him. "Speaking of that, have you ever had a taco salad with them?" Xavier asked. "I'm sorry to hear that you are completely wrong though. There are lots of things where the sequel is better than the original. You're not going to be able to convince me otherwise." Xavier laughed a bit.
" ð¢'ðŠ ð¬ðšð«ð«ð² ð°ð¡ðð ðð¢ð ð²ðšð® ððð¥ð¥ ðŠð? " he shook his head. " because i sure as hell am not a basic bitch as you say. " he lightly pushed xavier. " no. a taco salad with chips? that sounds very unhealthy. " he chuckled. " why do i feel like you would think the sequel for most movies were better than the original? " he rolled his eyes. " your taste in things are not looking good, mate. i'm worried about what else you may like. "
"Oh just because you're from the country that's original doesn't mean that it's the best. Like Nacho Cheese Dorito's, those are the original but we all know they aren't the best flavors. Being original doesn't mean anything." Xavier laughed while looking at Nathaniel "Ahhh yes we do. I mean we look pretty fantastic. I mean the original country has created some great looking guys as well." Xavier replied while smirking playfully and sending him a wink.
" ð§ððð¡ðš ðð¡ððð¬ð ððšð«ð¢ððš'ð¬ ðð«ð ðð¡ð ððð¬ð flavor. sorry to break it to you. " he laughed. " cool ranch is fine. " he grinned. now he was craving a bag of doritos. better yet nachos. after this he had to go to a mexican place and get some. " i don't know, usually the original is the best. like movies, songs, countries. " he teased. " it's rare to hear someone say the sequel is better. " a little smile appeared when he heard the other flirt back. " appreciate it, mate. "
"Oh yeah, we definitely know how to get down and enjoy the music because America is great." He responded to the other as he then laughed and enjoyed the music. "I know we do. We are something else really. I know that American's surprise the rest of the world for a lot of reasons." Xavier was enjoying his night and he sipped from the beverage he had in his hand. "This is the best welcome to America idea."
" ð°ðð¥ð¥ââ ð¢ ððšð§'ð ð€ð§ðšð° ðððšð®ð ð ð«ððð. " he teased. " my country was the original. " he smirked. he sometimes missed his hometown back in the uk, but it was funny how he himself decided to cross the ocean to settle in a different country. " yeah, a lot of reasons. you can say that again. " he sipped his drink and got closer to xavier. " they have good looking guys. "
Xavier found himself at Cityscape Club right where he normally was a lot of nights when he didn't have to worry about work. He was dancing on the dance floor in a button up that might as well have been unbuttoned all the way because only the bottom two were buttoned which revealed his chest. He was holding a jameson and ginger ale as he heard someone talking. "Oh yeah, they're totally vulgar, it's amazing. Those ones are the best in my opinion. The easiest to dance to."
ð§ððð¡ðð§ð¢ðð¥ ð¥ðð®ð ð¡ðð but continued to dance to the music. he was just here for a good time, and the music was making him feel good, letting his body sway with the beat of the music. he looked over at xavier and nodded. " yeah? i guess that's the proper way to have a good time in america. who knew it has always been such a cultural thing with you lot. " nathaniel still remembered that first dance. kids be listening to some vulgar stuff.
When he approached the table, he hadn't notice who was sitting there and it was none other than his coffee shop crush. Robbie sucked in a breath as he heard that British accent he's heard before and bit his bottom lip as he sat down. "Beanz, yeah. It's my favorite actually." He nodded. "I reckon it's your as well because I've seen you there before." Was that too big of an admittance? "NOT that I'm stalking you or anything." Waving his hands at the other, he clarified. "I didn't realize it was, well you, when I came over. I just saw someone that was alone and thought, why not share, right?" Robbie realized he was rambling non stop and pressed his lips together. "Sorry. I'm shutting up now." He sat straight, looking in front of him towards the makeshift stage trying to will his heart rate to slow the fuck down.
ð¡ð ð ðð¯ð ð«ðšððð¢ð ð ð ðð§ð®ð¢ð§ð ð¬ðŠð¢ð¥ð when he spoke. it was cool to see familiar faces in other places. perhaps not so much his students, but he had seen robbie plenty of times at the beanz, it was hard not to recognize him now. he was an attractive guy after all. " you've seen me there? " he teased. " yes. i go there almost every morning. it's my go to coffee place. better than going to lame starbucks. " truth be told, he never once went to a starbucks, and he wasn't going to start. " well, that's sweet of you. and hopefully there isn't something wrong with me, you could have still come up to me and shared. " he laughed. nathaniel grabbed one of the chips and bit it. " not bad. i ordered some chicken wings, you are more then welcome to have some. "

ð¢ð ð°ðð¬ ððð«ð¥ð² ð¢ð§ððš ðð¡ð ð§ð¢ð ð¡ð, and nathaniel was enjoying the atmosphere of the club, drinking the mixed drink that he ordered and dancing to the music. when the song transitioned, he turned to look over at person next to him and he laughed. " god, i forget how vulgar these songs can be. " nathaniel remembered when he moved to the states and going to his first school dance there, and how crazy the music was. it hadn't changed, even today. " still a good song, i guess. " he started to sway his body.
Yes, Robbie had just finished a twelve hour shift at the hospital and it was almost nine o'clock and he could feel his entire body screaming for bed. But it was Drag Queen Tuesday at Rainbow Rhythm and after the day he had at the ER, he needed some queer joy to end his day. Buying a serving of nachos and guac way too big for himself, he saw someone sitting at one of the high tables on their own and approached them, tray in hand with glittery nails, he was probably still wearing a small pink bow in his hair without realizing. that a patient put on him earlier "Would you like to share these? I'll buy you a drink as well if you eat these with me, I'm Robbie."
ððððð« ð ð¥ðšð§ð ððð² ðð ðð¡ð ð®ð§ð¢ð¯ðð«ð¬ð¢ðð², nathaniel wanted to wind down with a pint in his hand and some good food. and when he heard it was drag night at the rainbow rhythm, he decided to check it out tonight. he had seen it a few of the performances in the past, but he wasn't a regular. perhaps after tonight he would be. when he got there, he ordered a pint of beer and he started to enjoy the night. he ordered some hot wings on the side, knowing they were good here. and then the guy next to him approached him, with some appetizers that looked really good. " ohââ umm sure. " he smiled. " robbie. nice to meet you. you look familiar. do you frequent at the beanz? " he wondered. he was good with faces. " i'm nathaniel. "
ð§ððð¡ðð§ð¢ðð¥ ð°ðð¬ ð¢ð§ ðð¡ð ðŠð¢ððð¥ð ðšð ð¡ð¢ð¬ ððšðððð when he saw the woman burst into the doors. it wasn't strange to see anyone acting like they were the main character of a show, coming in and talking to no one but seeming to want attention. but he ignored her, going back to doing some of his writing.
his concentration ended when that very same women had dropped her bags in the seat that was next to him. eyes shifted up and he gave her a polite smile. he continued to write but then she spoke to him. he chuckled when he heard the question.
" ohââ umm, i mean isn't it the same with penguins. when they choose someone, they are mates for life? " he often thought it was like that for most animals. " do you often have dreams like that at night? " he asked.
