I loved this photo the best because Crystal looks like she is channeling her inner WoW priest, Airryn :) Also, Monterey is her heart and the stars add to the feeling of magic and dreaming. Hehe.

I do really like this one! It was the first one I played around with using my Monterey photos. Wish I knew what I was thinking or how to channel that again! Could say this is my reflection placed onto bleedmylove XD. My happy soul place being Monterey, and hers being Hawaii~
Hawaiian soul~ (@bleedmylove) (Not in love with either of them but I learned a lot and I plan on working on more again soon!)

I believe that little dot is Jupiter :) it's the closest thing I found to the moon, and if it isn't just a star, then the Starwalk app confirmed my suspicions. <3

3rd - Feb 2
The more full it gets, the more I fall in love.
Feb 4th, 2015, 7:40pm I'm told Jupiter is hanging out near the Moon. Looks like I'll have to wait. The clouds tonight however didn't disappoint. Often times when the clouds roll in like this they inevitably cover the moon entirely. Not tonight, even as I type they're still just rippling over the moon like waves in the sky. Need to work on ISO control.
Jan 28th, 2015, almost 8PM. I love it when the stars are crispier in the winter. The ones in the photo are part of Orion, my favorite constellation to spot in the sky because it's the most noticeable one. The moon was bright enough to create a lens flare, which I personally don't mind, because if done tastefully and not over-the-top, it creates a cool, almost cinematic, dream-like effect. I like how the light reflecting off the moon makes it look like the sun. I suppose it is the sun of the night.
Jan 27th, 2015, around midnight (so technically the 28th)
I went outside to take out some trash, and I happened to see the moon. It's around the time when the moon crosses the sky perfectly across my front yard view. I experimented with a slower shutter speed and my flash on -2. It was cold, but tolerable since it wasn't breezy. HDR would've been a good idea, but I decided that the cold wasn't THAT tolerable to try to get the perfect photo. They turned out pretty well. :)
Unfortunately, it is hard to see the moon from my house at most times of the night, but when I am driving around town, I can see the moon at some points and it is so breath taking. I forgot how crazy the atmosphere here warps the moon compared to living on a tiny island in the middle of the ocean where the environment has little impact on the moon being distorted. Anyway, on the night of January 5th, 2015, the moon was amazingly big as it was rising from the horizon. That's my favorite, when the horizon magnifies the size of the moon... what a strange and beautiful phenomenon. There are not really any good spots around town where I can stop on the side of the road and take pictures for many reasons... too many weird hills, lots of roads and traffic, crappy parking lots, etc. I was determined to see if I could see the moon near my house, which was very doubtful because there are a LOT of trees around the area. And I was right, because unfortunately the trees were covering the moon from my point of view. I did end up getting a decent picture, showing how bright and full and beautiful the moon was, even though it is being masked. Even though my expectations didn't meet what I desired, I ended up getting something very different but desirable in the end.
Went to bed before the moon was even visible last night. Woke up and remembered I still needed a picture of the nights moon! I'm up at 4am every morning so I hadn't yet missed my opportunity <3 Today will be good, I feel it.

It all stared while browsing on UrbanOutfitters.com when this book caught my attention. Fueled by the desire to take more photos and spend quality time with Carla; I, Crystal, bought the book.
