Yes!
The arts are not a way to make a living. They are a very human way of making life more bearable. Practicing an art, no matter how well or badly, is a way to make your soul grow, for heaven’s sake. Sing in the shower. Dance to the radio. Tell stories. Write a poem to a friend, even a lousy poem. Do it as well as you possibly can. You will get an enormous reward. You will have created something.

Revive!
Three+ years ago my good friend thought of a brilliant idea to help build bridges. Yes, Bridges. You see, we grew up in an area where people were ridiculously blessed with talents such as singing, dancing, poetry, beat boxing, what have you… and she thought: why not help these people showcase their talents, give them an outlet to share their blessings and to embrace their abilities. Myself included found this project so helpful and a PERFECT opportunity to put my art out there.
A lot has happened within these past two-three years and the project has not been active but ideas are still running wild and I know that there is something great in store for the future. It may not be in a months or even years time, but a time will come. But that is what brings me to the topic of the upcoming showcase, Ma’BOO’hay. This talent showcase is exactly what striving artists are looking for: an outlet, an opportunity to showcase their upcoming talents to their community. It’s just amazing because Nico, Mary Ann and Maricres were apart of the creative project three years ago and their desire to perform never died and their talents were never lost but they’ve truly grown.
I don’t know where I am going with this post but I just know things happen for a reason and amazing things will be happening on October 5th!
