Artist’s Block

So this is my attempt at a side blog for my artwork :) I’ve got a lot to learn still and my style changes a lot, but I wanted to start posting some of my work. My art Instagram is Promiseland292.

I’ve also decided to create what I’m calling a “doodle series”, which is basically just little sketches I did in the margins of my notebooks during class 😂 any picture that’s part of it will be tagged “doodle series”

This took me a very long time, but I’m glad it’s finally done 😊 this is a redraw of @botanicaxu beautiful drawing (WHICH YOU SHOULD ALL CHECK OUT. It was beautiful and made me cry) and so of course, inspired me to try and draw it too.

This is of Elhokar Kholin and his son. It was done in pencil and oil pastel. I may come back and try color in Elhokar eventually, but I also really liked it like this 😊

Based off of XitStrategy’s Tiktok, a bard returns to the now abandoned tavern where he and is friends met after a fight goes horribly wrong.

The song is “Empty Chairs at Empty Tables” from Les Miserables.

This one was a ton of fun to do! It’s my babies! Quirrel and the knight sitting together in the City of Tears!

The entire thing was done in water color.

It tis a Rose Finch! I think I’ll do more birds like this in the future, but this was originally an experiment to see how it would work. Also there are hydrangeas because I had extra paint 😂

So this took...a very long time. But it’s done! Tis Asgore! From Undertale! This is a redraw of the cover art for the video “Undertale-Asgore, The Broken King (Orchestral Suite)”. If you haven’t listened to it, I 100% recommend cause it’s beautiful.

Memento mori my friends. I did this as an Unus Annus art challenge in April as a way to decompress from the stress of school. The characters are done in water color and the smoke affect is done with oil pastel.

So...I’m not sure how long this is going to take me, but I’m going to do it. I had an idea to make an animatic for my character Choca. It’s gonna happen. I’ve outline the entire thing.

This is a sketch for one of the opening panels of the chapel in Strahd’s castle. I’d like to think that you could tell it was once beautiful, but it’s become very run down over time. It’s a wedding scene....that’s about to take a very dark turn.

This was done entirely with a number 2 mechanical pencil. I have to start using my actually good art pencils again 😂

Among us Valkyrae done in watercolor! I’d never watched any of her content before she started playing Among Us with Jacksepticeye and I’m so glad I did! She’s so cool!

It’s Choca again! This time in water color! I’ve been doing a lot of pictures in water color lately, and I’ve got more on the way!

And this is happy Choca. My wonderful baby before the trauma that was Strahd and Barovia.

Another doodle sketch. I did this forever ago.

So this is one I did very recently while I had the rona on one of my better days (completely better now I’m happy to report).

Asgore’s story has always been extremely sad to me. He’s a tragic character trying to do what’s best for his people in an awful situation.

This was done entirely in watercolor, and the quote is was written by YouTuber Under Fall and can be found in the comments of the video Undertale-Asgore, the Broken King (Orchesteal Sweet) (WHICH IS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING AND MAKES ME CRY. YOU SHOULD LISTEN IF YOU HAVE A CHANCE). And yeah, that quote literally made me cry and I thought it was a very fitting description of Asgore and his character.

More of a darker sketch I did back in high school I think? Or this one may have been college, I can’t remember what notebook it was in.

But the concept is basically just as it stands: a person who’s definitely been through the ringer, but is still standing. They’re back in a hole again, but they’re ready to drag themselves back out of it, kicking and screaming the entire way if that’s what it takes.
