She comes back one final time before he has decided to end his life because he can’t stand waiting for her anymore. He says he wants to say goodbye even though he knows it’s not fair.

Story so engrained in virtual reality that when you watch a movie, you are actively in the story. All of the senses can be used to interact, you even feel pain inside of it, but you are never hurt or damaged in real life since it’s all mental. You can set the difficulty level of your story, too. Higher paying players can put a “death block” on your character so you can’t die in the film and will therefore make it to the end.

Where to go from there: Maybe people start actually dying or get stuck in the game/film.

Werewolves are touch-telepaths and need physical contact to survive.

Alice is a human in a group with a werewolf among them. At first, she thought that the pure physicality of werewolf Bruce—bumping shoulders, physical guidance, etc.—was a display of dominance, a reminder that he was bigger and stronger than her.

Now, though, she’s beginning to suspect that this werewolf is starved of touch, that it’s not aggression but need that makes him grip her shoulder to get her attention or stand far too close so that she has to physically nudge him out of the way of her work.
