“When I was in my third year of middle school, I insisted on going to a technical high school. Of course my parents hoped I would enter a regular high school, but at that time I really liked machines and wanted to learn more about them. But then, when I did enter a technical high school, things were really different from how I thought they would be. I figured it wasn’t going to work out, so I took the college entrance exam, and I went to university to major in engineering. After one year passed, I found myself falling asleep in my engineering classes. I was confused as to whether or not this was what I really wanted to do.” “What did you do after that?” “I’m attending an arts college now.”

“중학교 3학년 때 공고를 가겠다고 우겼어요. 부모님은 당연히 인문계 고등학교로 진학하기를 바라셨지만 그 때는 기계를 만지는 게 너무 좋았고 배우고 싶었거든요. 하지만 막상 고등학교에 들어가니 생각했던 것과 너무 달랐어요. 이건 아닌 것 같아서 수능을 보고 공대를 들어갔죠. 하지만 1년 지나고 보니까 전공 수업 시간에 졸고 있는 저를 발견하게 되더라고요. 이게 정말 내가 하고 싶던 게 맞나 혼란스럽더라고요.” “그 후 어떻게 하셨나요?” “지금은 예대에 다니고 있어요.”
