How terrible is it to be called beautiful, smart, and strong but still end up alone every night.

My life every day
(via staypreppyvirginia)
One morning I woke up and you were no longer my first thought.
I only think of you at night (via bittersweet-introvert)
As embarrassing as that word is—“inspiration”—I do think it corresponds to my experience. A poem comes looking for me rather than I hunting after it.
Richard Wilbur (via poetsorg)
Music is art. Art is poetry. This song is a fucking museum.
The personification of emotions in this poem is genius and I fall more in love with it every time I read it. #LangLeave4Prez
If you love,
As you can tell, Lang Leav is a favorite. Apart from “Rogue Planets” this is one of my favorite poems from her.
Shel Silverstein is a genius
I really love Shel Silverstein.
Shel is a genius.
As a kid, I was fascinated with Silverstein from his art. Now, older, and maybe a tad wiser, I am captivated by his words. Always one of my favorite stanzas, this poem makes me feel everything at once.
There are no happy endings. Endings are the saddest part, So just give me a happy middle And a very happy start.
Shel Silverstein, Every Thing on It (via bookmania)
‘Don’t you get it?’ he said. ‘The ones who are afraid of heights don’t trust themselves enough not to jump.’
Lang Leav (via val-jeanval)
