film adaptation of crime and punishment but the main plotline is the romance with dunya and razkumikhin and all the regular events happen in the background. so it’s like this cute period romcom with dunya and that goofy friend who’s been taking care of her sick brother. there’s shots where they’re walking romantically along the river together and falling in love but raskolnikov is like on the other side delivering a monologue about whether he should throw himself off. the two of them are slowly realizing there’s something really wrong with him but nothing central to the plot happens onscreen. do you see my vision
