"I don't know, but I don't think I want to find out, granted it's a red button of all things," Kelsey uneasily stared at it from a distance, "If you wanna push it, be my guest, but leave me time to run out of here first.'"
The red button sat apart from the main console. Surely it couldnāt be dangerous, otherwise Ratchet would have secured it, especially with Miko running around. āIām gonna press it..ā hesitating only a moment Overkill eagerly slapped the button.
Not a second after an alarm blared, and red emergency lights flooded the room. Startled Overkill hastily hit the button again shutting down the alert system. āOw, my audials..ā he looked to Kelsey grinning sheepishly, āLetās not do that again.ā
Welcome to Maccadamās!
Jovial hoots of celebration and clinking of glasses roared over the music in a sudden surge. On screen above, cameras replayed the last-minute snatching of the game cube, its successful holder raising his newly earned prize above his helm, and then consumed in a flash of blue light. Another successful win for Iacon, it seems. Shouts of merriment were soon followed with groans of disappointment, slapping of credits in awaiting servos, and the all-too-familiar call for another round.
Highball was nothing short of happy to oblige. āOn it, doll!āĀ
She set down her rag and the glass that forever remains unclean, switching her selection out for several mugs. Humming as she poured, she called out to her fellow bar hand, āOi! Fizz! We getting low on oilnog, keep an optic on the front while I go to the back to grab another barrel for the tap.ā
A bottle flipped in the air, its owner spinning to catch it and pour a row of shots aligned on the bar in front of her in fluid motion. āYou got it, love. Donāt be too long, or youāll miss all the excitement.āĀ
As if on time, a chime signaled the entrance of new customers.Ā
āSpeaking of excitement⦠Thereās a set of new faces,ā Fizz hummed, her mouth turned in an upwards smirk. āI wonder what stories they bring? One thing is for sure, this is going to be fun.ā

@pseudo-spark
I was a bad day in the Decepticon ranks. The Autobots won a small victory but in Megatronās eyes it was as if the Autobots won the war. He was pissed and everyone on the ship knew it, they could feel the tension. And that metaphorical piss trickled down. Megatron was directly angry with Starscream. Somehow everything was his fault and the commander was abused for it. Knock Out and Breakdown heard it too. Soundwave was usually chill, but after learning his body language you could tell he was irritated. When a report was sent to him he was quick to deal with it and get back to whatever it was he was doing before. He acted like he wanted to be left alone.
When the commanders were angry the troops were treated like crap, and when the troops were treated like crap it set the troops off and there was a lot of in-fighting. Because of that some vehicons and insecticons got into it, Megatron found out, beat Starscream, ticked off Starscream and Starscream started shooting. He severely injured some insecticons and vehicons and told them that was their punishment. They were sent to Knock Out, but he seemed less than enthused to repair anyone. Some good mechs died that night.
A group of eradicons were dispatched to do some recon but a storm blew in. The wind whipped them all about and connections were lost. It was raining really hard and the lightning interference was messing with his sensors. He couldnāt tell what was around him, how high in the sky he was or how low. He couldnāt manually see through the pounding rain which made a white-out scenario. It was in the later evening, the sun was mostly set but it seemed two hours darker than a clear day with the dark clouds.
The eradiconās sensors faded in briefly to tell him know he was extremely close to an object, but it was too late. He flew right into the side of a mesa, crashing and tumbling down, transforming at some point. He looked up at the sky and saw a flash of lightning. It was the last thing he saw before blacking out with sensors lighting up his hud.
@alpha113nredshirteradicon
Overkill couldnāt help but chuckle,Ā āYou of all mechs would hope that.ā His friend was ridiculous, but he wouldnāt have it any other way.
āI know, I know. Iām trying think of something we could do.ā He contemplated in silence for a few moments until finally he thought he had something,Ā āOk, so thereās no way Iād be able to just sneak you out of here, and I canāt just ask them to let you go. Although...maybe if you gave them some small piece of information I could convince them to?ā
āIs there anything you could give them? Like, I donāt know, a small energon mine location or something? Youāre not a high ranking officer so I doubt they would think youād have any critical information. Besides we find mines all the time, thereās no way Megatron could trace us finding another back to you.ā
Closed starter for @pseudo-spark
Her little field trip to Mine D-28 wasnāt supposed to have taken this long to complete. Heck, she really shouldnāt have left the NemesisĀ in the first place, since the last time without telling her guardian she almost got stuck at the bottom of the ocean after trying to perform an aerial trick. Starscream was not too happy about having to fish her out afterwards, but he had deemed having waterlogged systems and being stuck in the medbay for a few days punishment enough. This did not dissuade her from sneaking out again.
This trip stemmed from the fact that Jointlock needed energon crystals, or that she was completely and utterly bored.Ā Any sparkling would be when stuck on a warship all day and having nothing to do but repetitive repair work.Ā She needed the energon crystals for her own personal side project she had been tinkering, and most of the energon coming up to the ship was already processed. So, the only way to get the crystals was to go to the mines herself and personally collect them.
The reason it was taking so long was because while she had been deep in the caverns of the mine, everyone else had been recalled to the ship after a raid attempt. So now, Jointlock was mindlessly wandering the cave tunnels, trying to get a good enough signal to comm Soundwave for a bridge or a possible way out. The only thing on her mind right now was, āScreamer is so going to kill me when I get back.ā
@defect-mechanic
Overkill was glad when he could sense the tension dissolve from her EM field, it wasnāt fair for a youngling to carry that much tension and darkness. At least, he thought, she didnāt have to go through it alone. Jointlock had support and bots who cared about her wellbeing, Overkill wouldāve given anything for the same in his early days. Though he should count himself lucky to have eventually found others who truly cared about him, and who wanted to give him a chance at leaving all that darkness behind. There were others who werenāt so fortunate.
āYeah, I guess youāre right.ā Overkill shrugged and absentmindedly scratched at the dirt,Ā āThough..ā He paused unsure of himself,Ā āOptimus tells me that avoiding and ignoring your past can only make it worse. He says talking about it will help me overcome it...but I donāt know. Can you really get over your past just by talking about it?ā
Overkill sighed heavily sending out small clouds of dirt from his vents where it had settled. There was truth in Optimusā words part of him knew that, but he couldnāt shake the fear of just what might happen if he were to face his past. What if it sparked an episode that he couldnāt control, or talking about it just didnāt work for him? Dozens of what-if scenarios ran through his mind as a wave of anxiety washed through his EM field.
After a long moment of staring at the small gouges heād left in the dirt floor, contemplating, Overkill finally turned his attention back to Jointlock. Uncertainty clear in his expression he asked her,Ā āWhat do you think?ā
Overkill is back!
My new computer finally arrived, and Iām officially back on tumblr! I plan to start writing replies this week, and will hopefully keep up with them regularly from now on.
A little dark side Overkill for ya! Always wanted to try something like this :)

pseudo-sparkā:
Time for Overkill seemed to come to a stand still, perpetually stuck in an exhaustion induced series of nightmares. Trapped in a rerun of his life. One moment strapped to a lab table, the next under Megatronās crushing heel the shooting pain of his cockpit shattering fresh as the day it happened. Barely enough time to process the memory, and Megatronās form vanished replaced by bodies, enemy and ally, littering the energon stained battle field before him. An image heād long since buried, or so he thought.
It soon became clear that he wasnāt in charge here, his body wouldnāt respond not even a twitch of his digits. Fear gripped his spark as he desperately willed his frame to budge to do anything, but it was no use, he was a puppet to his own mind. This wasnāt real heād lived these events they were memories, Overkill reminded himself again and again willing himself back to reality. As things continued without pause he was quickly losing touch with what exactly his reality was.
On the outside the only signs of life from his motionless frame were ragged vents hardly above a whisper, and the subtle groan of joints and cables under too high tension. OverkillāsĀ face twisted into an expression of pure anguish, his denta ready to crack under the pressure, and servos clenching tight enough to leave indents.
Breakout ran to the end of the wallway, up to the point where he knew that no cameras would be able to spot him and them began casually walking towards Overkillās room. He casually waved at Bulkhead as he passed by and crossed his arms behind his back, trying his best to look as calm and collected as possible.
Inside his chest, he could feel his spark beating against its own casing. His fuel liked were pumping his energon at 150% of their normal speed and a warning had popped up on his HUD, warning him that unless he turned on his cooling fans at this moment, he was going to start overheating.
To say that he was stressed and on the edge, would be an understatement.
The moment he was out of the main room, he ran. He skidded down the hallway and checked twice before putting his palm on the scanner next to Overkillās door, to make sure that no one would see him getting in.
The scanner made a soft ābeepā sound as it completed the scan and unlocked the door. Breakout grabbed the handle and twisted it, shoving the door open with his shoulder. He stepped in, stumbling over a piece of broken furniture that had fallen in front of the door and shut it behind him.
āDecepticon!ā he frantically yelled squatting down to take ahold of Overkillās wrists to immobilize him āStop this! Stop this right now! Youāre hurting yourself!ā
Inside his mind memories flashed by seemingly on an eternal loop as voices from the past shouted, screamed, or pleaded from all sides repeating themselves again and again. Overkill cried out as he reached his breaking point but it was drowned out by the earsplitting cacophony that surrounded him.
On the outside Overkill made no indication that heād heard Breakoutās demands or was even aware of being restrained. Still unaware of the outside world Overkill shuttered his optics the bombardment of images before him. Opening them again he was greeted by a dark void, a welcomed change, but a new voice joined the rest speaking above them all in an eerily calm tone. It was his voice.
Spinning on his heel Overkill frantically searched for the source but in here it seemed to come from everywhere at once. There was no up or down just an endless void, and he quickly became disoriented. Vents faltering Overkill began to panic, āitās not real itās not real heās not realā he wanted to believe his own words but found himself in doubt.
All the while the disembodied voice encouraged him to give in to the panic and fear. Allow the darkness of his mind to take over and it would all be better. Overkill knew it was all lies, but he didnāt have the strength to fight that part of himself.
Overkill was full ready to accept defeat as the familiar numbness bled into his mind, that is until his audials picked up the addition of another voice, faint but it was there. It called out once, then again. He recognized it as the mech heād encountered earlier, and something in his mind finally clicked,Ā āIām not here, Iām out there. None of this is real.āĀ He spoke more to the voices around him than to himself. Shuttering his optics and covering his audials he blocked out his surroundings mentally clinging to that thread of reality and willing himself to wake up.
All at once the tension vanished from his frame and his vents hissed as he drew in a proper intake. Despite this Overkillās optics remained closed as he struggled to gain full control over his consciousness.

š„- Favorite TF series
I havenāt seen them all, but out of the ones Iāve seen Transformers Prime is my absolute number one. Itās the show I grew up with and it has a special place in my heart. I also feel it has one of the best stories behind it, some of the best animation for any TF show weāve seen, and I LOVE that itās not geared towards little kids itās a little more serious and dark. Donāt get me wrong I love rescue bots itās heckin cute, but Iām a sucker for angsty more adult stuff when it comes to TF.
š- Fav Decepticon?
Starscream. Especially G1 verse. Despite failing at overthrowing Megatron again and again, heās actually extremely intelligent and a highly dangerous warrior. If given the chance I think he would actually make a pretty good leader. Heās also just graceful and beautiful, those colors, those heels and that jet form āØgorgeousāØ.Ā
š- Any Ships? Whoās your current fav?
I have quite a few ships, but my all time favorites are (G1) MegaStar, (tfp) Optimus/Ratchet, (tfp) Knockout/Breakdown, and Heatwave/Kade.

pseudo-sparkā:
Surprise was clear on his face, that was not at all what he expected her to say. Not enemies? A Decepticon seeing an Autobot as anything other than a foe or a target, was unheard of. It was a nice change.
The light contact on his arm had him frozen, unsure, he couldnāt remember the last time physical contact from another felt like anything other than a threat. Now he felt oddly comforted by it. It took Overkill a long moment to work his vocalizer and put together a response.Ā āI- Really? You donāt just see me as the enemy?ā A smile returned to his face,Ā āThatās nice to hear for once. Sorry about earlier..was kinda rude.ā Changing how he acted towards others was a long process, but he hated being so cold and mean. It remind him too much of how Megatron was, and he loathed to be anything like that monster. He was determined to be the exact opposite.
Overkill again sat on the dusty ground not wanting to loom over Jointlock and make her uncomfortable. Shrugging Overkill leaned forward elbows on his knees and helm in his servos giving her his undivided attention. It was clear he didnāt plan on moving for a while,Ā āI got nothinā but time, and I donāt mind long stories. But its up to you, you just tell me the version you feel up to sharing.ā He offered a friendly smile to ease her worries.
A small smile formed on Jointās face as she watched the mech sit down and settle in for a story. Her mind was trying to work out how much she wanted to tell Overlook about her early, earlyĀ life, as it wasnāt something she liked talking about. It involved a lot of pain and fear, even now when it was so far back in her life. She took a deep vent, letting her frame relax a bit, before deciding where to start.
āSo, it starts back when I was a sparkling, like super young, only a couple vorns old. The mechs who made meā¦they didnāt like what they got. I had problems, they called them defects, and they didnāt want to have someone with all of those problems. So they, yāknow, kicked me out into the middle of this war as soon as I was able to ingest regular grade energon,ā she described to him, keeping it vague as Joint didnāt want to start reliving her past right now.Ā āSo I was alone, fending for myself and moving battlefield to battlefield trying to live off of abandoned rations, or anything really. I didnāt know any better.ā
There was a visible shudder from Jointlock, optics shuttering softly before she continued.Ā āI started getting sick. I think had hurt myself when traveling and got an open cut on my back. Within a couple days, my entire back and wings had been infected with rust. And since I didnāt know how to deal with a rust infection, it just continually got worse and worse. I kept moving until I couldnāt anymore, which landed me in Decepticon territory before my frame was succumbed to the rust. I couldnāt walk, I couldnāt eat, my back and wings had gone numb at that point.
āAt some point, a seeker squadron had flew overhead and spotted me. The mechs who created me were Autobots, so I didnāt know what was going to happen to me once they landed. Everything in those last couple days are blurry for me, but from what I heard from Hook, apparently the squadron picked up my energy signature and upon seeing I was a seeker, they thought I belonged to someone at base and took me back. I had a stage three rust infection, and Hook had to operate at me to save my spark from going out.Ā
āMy wings were completely dead, so they had to be removed. I was in the medbay for a long time after that, recovering, but apparently Screamer came in a lot to see how I was doing, along with his trinemates. Hook saidĀ āhe took interestā in me, which I still donāt really understand what that meant, but he became my guardian shortly afterwards. Iāve been with him and the cons ever since,ā she finished up, rubbing her optics as she felt them leak a bit.Ā āSorryā¦ā
Overkill listened intently to her story taking in every detail. Immediately his smile dropped and a myriad of emotions washed over his face. His EM field flared with burning fury upon hearing that Autobots would dare toss a helpless youngling out to fend for itself. They didnāt deserve the title, it was bots like them that poisoned their cause and name.
Learning how long sheād gone with a severe rust infection had horror quickly replacing fury. Servos dropping from his helm his jaw went slack in disbelief. How had no one, not a single bot, found this youngling? Had they simply ignored her and her need for help? How could they do nothing?! Anger trickled back in if only for a moment.
The thought of Jointlocks wings slowly and painfully rusting away had his own wings subconsciously flexing. He couldnāt- or rather didnāt want to imagine how that possibly could have felt. The agonizing pain she must have suffered through made him wince in sympathy. No bot deserves that kind of pain.
Reaching the end of her story he was glad to know it all ended as well as it could have, but he now felt guilt twist his spark for even asking her to relive that dark time. Primus knew he had plenty heād rather forget.
Feeling he had to offer comfort of some degree Overkill reached out hesitantly, fearful he may harm her through simple contact, and ever so carefully rested his servo on her pede.Ā āNo..Iām sorry.ā Sympathy filled his EM field, he understood what she felt.Ā āI know what itās like wanting to forget about all the pain. I shouldnāt have asked in the first place. Itās terrible what happened to you, and Iām so sorry you had to go through it alone.ā He paused to gain control over his building anger as he thought back to the āAutobotsā she mentioned,Ā āAnd those Autobots who abandoned you, those were not real Autobots. True Autobots would never have done something like that, and I believe that with all my spark.ā
He sighed at that,Ā āThough now I see why you would hate Autobots.ā pausing momentarily he continued with a more, somewhat false, cheerful attitude,Ā āBut you made it through all that and are here today, and thatās amazing.ā
āAlso, I was totally right that Screamer was your guardian.ā He chuckled at the fact.
Retreating from her space Overkill leaned back on his servos,Ā āNow, since you gave me your life story itās only fair I let you grill me about mine.ā He offered up with a genuine smile, though deep down he was afraid of just what may be brought up.
