Bloggers who only post screenshots of posts from other social media sites are not reliable sources of unbiased or accurate news btw. This should not be a controversial or surprising thing to say.
A screenshot of someone making claims about [insert current event] on twitter is not inherently true or accurate just because it makes you angry or upset. People can, and often do, lie through their teeth online.
Your favorite "news" blog that only posts screenshots is not the exception to this btw.
And before you think, "well, not my favorite news blogger because they only post screenshots about IMPORTANT things that sound really factual and important!". . .
One day, something they post will ping you in the wrong way. Or you'll see a debunk of it from a different source. Or you'll even open a real news site and see something that directly contradicts what your fave blogger shared. And you will do more digging and you will think more critically and you will realize how much of the "news" that has been flooding your dashboard for years has been misinformation at best and outright lies at worst.
And you will be horrified and miserable thinking about all the angry twitter screenshots you reblogged, all the misinformation you spread with the best intentions, all the internal biases you fed because a tumblr blogger or twitter user sounded authoritative enough and angry enough that they had to be right. And that realization fucking sucks in ways I cannot describe but it is considerably worse to keep wallowing in that ignorance to keep yourself comfortable.
Unfollow those blogs. Add their usernames to your blacklist so you don't see those posts. When you see "news" that gets you worked up and angry and upset, look into it more to see how true it is before you spread it.
