peter percival pettigrew (call him percival and he won’t talk to you for a week) was born on september 31st, 1997 to two loving, pureblooded parents.
his father made toys think stu pickles and his mother was an obliviator. his dad was the more fun loving of the two, while his mother believed that all rules were meant to be followed to a T
peter’s favorite memories of his dad were when peter was younger his father would bring him into his “mad laboratory” which is what he called the room he made toys in and they’d eat chocolate and all sorts of sweets without his mother knowing
so his father is where he gets the more rebellious streak from, but he learned to be lowkey and stick to the mold from his mother
his parents were the definition of opposites attract, because they really did care for each other above anything else. they were an arranged marriage, but peter felt they were one of the few that genuinely worked out.
as the war grew closer, his parents started getting more and more separated. his father advocated for muggles and muggleborn rights, getting himself labeled a blood traitor, while his mother stuck with the traditional pureblood beliefs. this time, instead of their differences bringing them together it’s what drove them apart, and what drove his mother into the death eater’s forces.

he loves muggle culture though. and muggle music!! ugh, do not get him started. he thinks he’s the next ziggy stardust. this man’s obsession with david bowie is unreal
and he thinks the greatest muggle invention is the paper airplane. so. if that doesn’t speak volumes about him.
all his life he’s had this major inferiority complex (i still need to flesh out exactly WHY), so no matter what he does he always feels like it’ll never be good enough. he’s always been really self conscious because of that and tries to make up for it by either talking too much or not enough
bc of this he’s really easily swayed. he has his own morals, yeah, but he really needs someone to make the decisions for him. or, at least, help him make it
he didn’t do badly in school, but he wasn’t the best student. the classes he did well in were the classes that interested him, like dada and care of magical creatures. he wasn’t too bad in divination, either. but he really doesn’t know what he wants to do with his life, and he feels like he’s running out of time. he’s gone between so many jobs, from taking care of animals at the magical menagerie to a metal charmer. right now he’s working in a music shop, and he’s honestly living his best life. he plays drums and is learning bass guitar there.

to sum it up! peter’s still a kid at heart who doesn’t really know what he’s doing with life and is kinda clinging onto what he knows as a safety net. he kinda feels like he’s just floating lost through space rn. full of passive aggression, fear of confrontation, and poorly timed jokes and is very easily manipulated. i could go on for hours about this bowie loving boy but i’ll spare u
