Okay, so I just got through reading this post, and oh my god. I mean, what if this happened with the Beacon students when Goodwitch was coming and their phone-ipad whatever the heck they are things? Like

-Yang grabbing hers and Ruby's and shoving them down into her cleavage, then just taking a minute to adjust her boobs to make sure they don't look too conspicuous. -Blake and Ren flipping up to the ceiling, Blake holding open an air vent and Ren just catching peoples phones as they toss them to him so that he can hide them in there. -Weiss just hiding hers in her fucking ponytail. -Cardin lifting up a fricking floor tile or whatever and having Jaune and Velvet chuck theirs under there, then asking them if they can hear his rattling around under his armor when he moves. -Russel, Dove, and Lark sticking theirs into plants or taping them under desks or whatever. -Pyrrha hiding hers down one of her boots, then taking Nora's and hiding it in the other for her.

I know it's probably ultra unrealistic, but I just... glorious.

“I am…. Jeanne… Jeanne Arc,’ she replied softly. She gazed at his hand for a moment before cautiously taking it, accepting his help in returning to her feet.

He nodded and helped her up as he’d look into her eyes. The man stared at her before he’d slowly tilt his head at her.

“...Is something amiss, sir?” He was looking at her a bit strangely. Was something wrong with her face?

“Basil.” he told her as the towering man knelt down to her. He’d hold his hand out to her asking, “You are?”

“I am.... Jeanne... Jeanne Arc,’ she replied softly. She gazed at his hand for a moment before cautiously taking it, accepting his help in returning to her feet.

"Blake." she answered softly. "Blake Belladonna. I’m part of Team RWBY." she gave a little bit more information that she usually did, but it was a small tidbit of information. She rolled her shoulders slightly, her weapon suddenly feeling a little bit heavier for a moment. Seeing this woman with her regal air made her feel even more of a street kid.

"You said your last name was Arc. I know of a Jaune Arc in Team JNPR, but it might just be a common name."

“Blake... that sounds like a lovely name,” Jeanne smiled. She adjusted her sword in its sheath as she stood. “‘Jaune’?... I don’t believe I recall having a relative with that name.” She had a lot of relatives, but none with such a similar name to hers. And ‘Arc’ wasn’t exactly a common surname either... “You are part of a team you say?” It was an attempt to change the subject, she just hoped it was subtle enough.

A short while later Lark came back with a plastic bottle full of water. He held it out towards Jeanne nervously. Lark had sort of been hoping she’d of gotten better while he was off getting the drink.

“Here, I hope this helps.”

“...Thank you.” Jeanne sat up slowly as she took the bottle from his hand. Her hands and arms were trembling like thin willow boughs, but she managed to take a couple of sips from the bottle still. Everything was just weighing so heavily on her still. The past, this current present, her times in future to come... if there would be that. She wasn’t aware of it, but as she stared down at the bottle she held, her eyes were beginning to moisten. She didn’t even realize when a drop began to roll silently down her cheek.

Lark frowned. She was starting to seem worse and worse by the moment, he was really hoping that she wasn’t sick. “Sure it’s not a problem Jeanne. Just sit here I’ll be right back.” And with that he walked off to try and find the nearest place to get a bottle of water.

Jeanne slouched back against the bench as she exhaled shakily. She had almost slipped, he might have known who she really was. It would be a relief if someone knew perhaps, but... oh, she really just couldn’t bring herself to really say it. And now her head was throbbing with the pain...

“Why...” she murmured, leaning forward and pressing her face into her hands. “Why me...”

"Well then you’re lucky, I know that I wouldn’t want to be a part of anything like that." Lark said, shortly afterwards resuming his meal. The thought of eating something like that hadn’t managed to spoil his appetite, but it was taking him a lot longer to swallow food down than usual.

"Honestly wasn't entirely bad," Jeanne went on, rather absently taking another bite of the food he had cooked.  "They used plenty of fresh vegetables and seasonings. You could hardly smell the musk after it was cooked."

"When one is reduced to consuming only tree bark and root scrapings for almost two weeks, then one learns not to turn one’s nose up to many things," Jeanne replied simply. "The difficult part was retrieving the meat without it discintegrating into nothing." As they tended to do when killed.

"Yeah how exactly do you do that? Do you have to cut the meat you’re going to take out of it before you kill it, or something?"

"To be perfectly honest, I was not a part of the retrieval process myself," she responded. "All I know is that I saw them carry in meat. It was most certainly Ursa, though. I could tell because a piece of the pelt was still on it. I know Ursa fur anywhere when I feel it." And smell, that stench was rather distinctive.

It seemed as soon as Junior let out a breath of relief and turned away, a brief ray of light shot across the club, soon dissipating with the soft sound of a closing door.

A guest, visitor, customer, even? “Hmn?— Well well, what can I get for you?” the man remarked as he turned, glancing at the rather notable looking individual from behind his red-tint shades. It wasn’t goldilocks, so at least that was some improvement. The club was at a decent capacity for the afternoon. The Malachite sisters were scheduled to preform in less than an hour, and so far the sound systems and lights were working properly. All in all, it was like Yang never happened. Knock on wood. Reaching under the bar top to grab a suitable glass for the customer, he scooping some ice, suspending it under the dispenser’s nozzle for only a few seconds, then, gently placed the beverage before the client. "Here, somethin’ to get you started; on the house.”

"Hm?" She had approached the bar counter and gently seated herself atop the stool, hoping to have a small drink or two. However, she hadn't expected to be offered a free drink when she had sat down. She gazed at the cup with surprise for a moment, but then smiled gently as she picked up the glass.

"Thank you kindly, my good sir," she said softly. She took a gentle sip of it, letting a few drops enter her mouth slowly, as if she were sampling fine wine rather than just a drink from a bar tap. "Hm... delicious," she murmured. "This is just what I needed."

I just want to say, in light of all recent things that, I want to thank Monty, for giving me Jeanne here.

RWBY is just such an amazing series, with such a detailed and intricate history and backstory. Any series can inspire OCs, and I've had a few before her, but... I  don't know, there's just something special about her.

Without Monty and his brilliance, his imagination, his optimism, and his perserverance, we would have never had such an amazing series, such amazing characters, and such an amazing world to inspire us.

So, Monty, in honor of you, thank you for giving all of us such an amazing fandom, flaws and all. Thank you for giving us laughter, for ours is a world that just doesn't have enough causes for it. Thank you for giving us such an amazing world from your imagination, even with just the small microcosm we have of it. Thank you for giving us such amazing characters, full of strengths and flaws which we can relate to and find strength in. Thank you for giving us inspiration, for it is something we could have never relayed you, in life or in death.

But, from the deepest, warmest, truest part of my heart, I thank you for giving me my OC, Jeanne, for even though she wasn't a creation of your glorious imagination, you and your work gave her to me, and I could never thank you enough for her.

"Are you sure you’re alright Jeanne?" Lark walked beside her just in case she ended up falling over. He was confused as to why she’d call him a different name, but it wasn’t one he recognized so he decided to shrug it off. "I don’t want to sound rude but you’re starting to look like a walking corpse or something."

"Y-yes... perfectly... perfectly alright," she murmured. Her usually firm shoulders seemed to be trembling just the slightest bit. She seemed to collapse onto the bench rather than sit down. She slumped over, at the waist, resting her elbows on her knees and her forehead in the palm of her hand. "I... I just..." Her voice sounded hollow, and trembling just slightly. "... Could I please just have some water, Sky?" Her voice sounded quiet and tiny, almost pleading. All of which were highly uncharacteristic.
