yo, guys.

yeaaahhhh it’s been a while.

but yo, real talk? I love the English Dub of Persona 5. Akechi’s voice in This One Scene is absolutely flawless, and as a lover of voices, I couldn’t not try to emulate the strain Robbie Daymond put his voice through. Our voices are very different, and the last thing I want to do is completely copy a scene. That’s not the job of a voice actor. So, I did this to the best of my ability.

I immediately apologize for the quality of this. I just got a new microphone and I’m still trying to get used to it, not to mention that editing this all together left the yelling portions far worse quality than I intended.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy.

[Disc 3: Track 21] Akechi: [pained] Damn it...! Morgana: So, he's able to turn people psychotic... I thought it was some special thing like the Nav, but it seems to be his own Persona's power. Makoto: I can't believe that the ability to control and [pause] drive others mad was born from within his heart... Akechi: [desperate, quiet] I'll kill you... You're all gonna die...! Ann: Will you please stop?! You're fighting the wrong people! We both hate the same guy! Why do we have to go against each other?! Makoto: [quiet, sympathetic] Killing us won't make you happy. Akechi: [pained, conflicted] But... I...! Ryuji: [reasoning] This ain't about what Shido says! You're your own person! You gotta know that! Akechi: [gritted teeth] Damn it! Futaba: You know... sometimes I think about that fake Medjed that you guys made up... Futaba: That was the worst trap... but if not for that, I don't think I'd be here right now. Futaba: [realizes she's not helping] Uhhh-- basically... it doesn't matter where you start over! Morgana: [prying] And... you don't really hate Joker, do you? That smile before we fought... Isn't that how you really feel? Akechi: [realizes he's being seen through] ......?! [breath of irritation and reaction] Morgana: Follow your true feelings! Even if you think people hate you, or don't want you around, that's-- Akechi: [irritated] Shut up, shut up, shut up! Akechi: [resisting] Teammates?! Friends?! To hell with that! Akechi: Why am I inferior to you...? Akechi: [bitter] I was extremely particular about my life, my grades, my public image, so someone would want me around! Akechi: I am an ace detective... [pissed off, desperate] a celebrity! Haru: [pitying] Akechi-kun... Akechi: [accusatory] But you... you're just some criminal trash living in an attic! So how...? Akechi: How does someone like you have things I don't?! Akechi: How can such a worthless piece of trash be more special than me?! Akira: You need to stop. Akechi: [small giggles, dissolving into rage again] This argument is meaningless! [Disc 1: Track 25 - Blood of Villain - plays] Makoto: [fearful] What was that...?! Yusuke: A black mask...! Morgana: [figuring things out] Then, what Kaneshiro said before... Makoto: [accusatory] So... you were behind the mental shutdowns after all... Akechi: [small giggles, sounds a tad sarcastic] Oh, this is great... Akechi: [barely able to contain his giggles] I'm surprised... This is actually a first for me. I might even have to try my hardest against you. Akechi: You know... I just came up with a fun little idea... Akechi: I wonder how far I can go with this... Makoto: Fun...? Akechi: You wanted to see my powers, didn't you? Akechi: [giving in] Fine... I'll show them to you! Akechi: [laughing, genuine] I've never felt like this before! Akechi: [giggling a bit] You're right; I don't give a damn about Shido's acknowledgement... Akechi: All I care about now is killing all of you... Apologies for the background noise and quietness. I recorded it three times, and this was the best way it came out. As well, I didn’t want to turn off my heater bc it’s way too cold for that. srry friendos.

But, yep! I did a lil thing. It’s not great, but I hope you guys like it. :) Writing the second half of it today helped me calm down from a bit of a freak out I had this morning, so yeah.

Initially, I kind of wanted to make a version of Graham’s Lullaby to Alexander for Rosella, but unfortunately, rhyming anything for “daughter” or “Rosella” is basically impossible. It wasn’t going to work. So, I chose Gwendolyn and her cute little nickname of cuddlebug, instead. c:

A little preview of what’s to come, I guess. Hopefully, that is.

My recordings so far have been far from perfect, with a lot of pops from my mic. Gonna have to find a way to attach my pop filter to my mic. Hell, there’s still even a pop you can hear in this clip, and I was actually using it. :/

But, hopefully I’ll be able to re-record things soon and figure out just how I want to sing this.

This is also a re-record of a really old fandub I did when I was around 12-13 years old. Maybe someday, when I’m not too embarrassed by it, I’ll post it, haha. Maybe around the same time I post the full re-record.

okay look. I learned the lyrics by heart, and p much that means I needed to at least attempt to sing it. I’m not even a giant fan of the game and I loved this song.

So yeah. Here it is. My high pitched voice singing it, all recorded and mixed in an hour! \ o vo/

I was gonna do a version with my normal singing voice, but that might have to be saved for another day, because my mom’s boyfriend just got home from work.

Also, I will admittedly say that it’s very hard to volume control my high-pitched voice. I gotta work on that. ;;;

SO. THIS IS A THING.

I was going through my old 4shared account and found a LOT of old files from when I was younger and very much trying to become a voice actress/youtube fandubber.

I decided to post one of the several things I kept rather than deleted.

This, in particular, is thirteen year old me singing the first opening song to FullMetal Alchemist in English. I remember the lyrics were by geekyfandubs on youtube, but it was on her old channel that has since been removed due to YouTube being a butt.

There was another couple things I liked from the stuff, but I kind of wanted to redo them and post the old versions along with the new later so we could see the difference seven years can make.

(Also yes that’s middle school aged me dressed at Edward Elric as the “album art”)

I haven’t done a whole lot on here for a while, and I apologize for that. My personal projects have gone on hold due to a lack of motivation and other emotional matters.

I, unfortunately, still haven’t been able to make my ideal little place to record things yet, as I’ve been having trouble getting all the materials needed due to conflicting sources telling me what I need and how much it’ll cost me. I may have to save up for a few months, but the problem is that I such at saving sometimes, because there are things are either really want or really need that I insist on paying for myself.

But! I do have some good news!

I actually auditioned for something. :D

For the first time in YEARS, I auditioned for something. It’s a paid position, too! So, if I manage to get this, I could actually be PAID to do this. Ahhhhh, I’m so excited. I personally think I did fairly well with my audition, and I hope it’s enough to impress those that are doing the hiring. :)

If not? Oh, well. It’ll be all right. Hopefully this, though, will give me the confidence to audition for more projects, whether they be paid or not.

RIP my throat

Just woke up to the fact that I was alone in the house, so I was all “hey! let’s do a couple of the requests people asked of me in the chat last night.” And I mistakenly did this one first. Might just stick to this, haha. But we’ll see how much time I have before my mom picks me up.

Hey there, guys!

Okay, I know it's been a while since I've posted a voice acting clip, or anything. However, I do have a good few reasons!

Currently my family and I are in the process of moving, so things have been a little hectic.

My normal laptop that which I use to record is currently in the care of Microsoft, as they're fixing my headphone jack. Definitely need that working! And it'll still be at least a week or so before I get it back.

That being said, as soon as everything settles down, I'm pretty sure I'll be able to record much more frequently.

As well, I recently started getting some income. Know what that means?

I can fiiiiiinally start saving for a little recording set-up! :D

I'll have the money to be able to buy some sound-cancelling foam and hopefully be able to make a little homemade recording section of my room. So that should mean some better quality recordings!

As well, I do have a few scenes I have listed that I'm probably going to end up doing in the near future, so if you're interested, take a click at the Read More below!

Other than that, there's no more to update you guys on, so I hope you have a good night!

Late 2013, I covered a song my dad had really started to love from the musical, "Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog." It's not my favorite song from the brilliant musical, but I'm really not the best as singing as three different characters, so I went with this one!

I'm really not the best singer and the only "lessons" I've had to do so are from my school music teacher, so do be kind. :)

Okay, so this one is a bit of an oldie. And thus, my attempt of making voices more differentiated is on hold until I can record new stuff. However, good news! I've got a little script to show those who don't know the characters or show who says what.

I hope that will help with any future recordings. :) I'll also soon add scripts to those clips with more than one character speaking in them.

Anyway, in this clip, we have Agent Connecticut (Connie) and Washington (Wash) arguing after Connie makes a mistake during a mission that causes the mission to fail.

I will also say that I only added Wash's lines because Connie's lines just don't sound right without them. Note that I was putting most of my effort into Connie's lines, and this clip is, in fact, 5-6 months old.

Hey there :D I'm Andrew, and I'm also starting up a VA blog. I'd like to start with saying that it all sounds great so far (emotion, tone, editing) and that this critique is a nitpick. In your first post, I understand that your focus wasn't on making the characters sound distinct, but I had a lot of trouble keeping track of which character was talking, making things confusing. Space between speakers would help, but some difference in the voice, like talking speed even, would be ideal for this.

Was it? I thought it was pretty easy to distinguish, honestly, mostly with just how the whole thing was played out. Though I do imagine it might’ve gotten confusing with one character interrupting the other and you not being familiar with the show.

I’ll take that into account the next times. I assure you that I do have other clips where it’s pretty easy to distinguish the different characters by their voices alone, so don’t worry about that. :)

Featuring some very familiar background music!

Yes, this time I spiced things up with a little background music. Don't get too used to it, though, since most of the scenes I tend to do don't exact have music behind them, so yeah. Sorry about that if it happens to be a long time before you hear another clip with music behind it.

Anyway, this clip is the end of season 10 of Red vs Blue. It's played during an episode, and the entirety is played after the credits, as well.

I don't exactly sound as old as Allison is supposed to be, but hopefully you'll enjoy it anyway.

So, as my first post to my new voice acting channel, I thought I'd start with something simple. This is a small clip of my performing a scene from season 6 of Red vs Blue.

I play both characters and don't really care to differentiate my voice too much between the characters, as my focus was more on the actual acting part of it.
