“Okay, Dixie, what’s wrong? I thought we got over the thing where you push me away.”
“We did, until I kissed you and you pushed me away. You think I’m just gonna walk in here and go on like everything’s okay? Like kissing you never happened? That may not have been your first kiss, Julian, but it was mine and I can’t stop thinking about it and I’m so angry at myself for doing it. I told you I wasn’t good enough for you and you said I was, then you pushed me away. You don’t have feelings for me, you don’t see me that way, just tell me right now so I can walk out of here and go deal with it on my own. But don’t expect me to pretend like it never happened.”
