“I was going to ask if we made out,” she says, as casually as if she were asking for the TIME. “you look really familiar and that’s usually the answer.”
“Oh no I’m sorry. I don’t make it a habit to make out with people I don’t know.”

“Well, I was bored, so I wanted to figure out how to do that cool fizzing stuff in those beakers. Like… the ones you see on TV! You know all about that science stuff, right?”
Jack chuckled at this. “Yes, I know all about the since stuff as you seem to say.I can teach you if you’d like.”

Luis doubted he had the intelligence to of become a doctor, certainly if he had the concentration skills to look at all the math he may of not become an animator, but it certainly could’ve had better guise for check ups than an art teacher.
Even so, he made an effort to know everyone in town and the status of beloved creations come to life. The easiest stops were first to check off the list ; Dreamworks or not, a fellow teacher was easiest to speak with.
“Well you see,” the man cleared his throat, “I was wondering if I could try to plant some bugs in your class’ ears about art at the local rec center?”
“Oh yes sure. If you want to talk to my class that’d be fantastic. They love to learn. At least I hoe they do.” There was a chuckle. “It may just be that I love to learn so much I think it’s rubbing off on them. I think they’ll be interested in it.”
lilcpelekai :
“I - I don’t know.” She felt bad for telling on people. “Never mind.”
“No it’s alright. What did you have to tell me? Don’t feel nervous.”

Click! For a second a triumphed smirk tugged at the corner of her mouth. “You need better locks,” Shelia scowled Jack under her breath at the same time the door swung free. Picking locks became second nature to Shelia Rickshaw. She stepped inside and carefully closed the door behind her. Afterwards she curiously ventured through the house, ending up in the man’s bedroom. She plopped down on the foot of the bed and waited for dear ol’ Jack to get home from work. Shelia prayed the chemistry dork neglected any urge to stay late at the high school for a personal experiment. Let’s just say she planned on taking a damn nap if Jack didn’t show up in the next half hour.
Jack showed up just on time for Shelia. He hadn’t stayed late, the man loved his work but staying late with kids wasn’t his favorite thing. He dropped his jacket by the door, briefcase accompanying it as well. Something was off. He could tell but he wasn’t worried. He went upstairs and found Shock on his beck. “Shelia what are you doing in my bed?” He asked surprised.
“What is it that was so important to tell me?”
shockfromhell :
“N'aw, Jack, it sounds like you missed me. The most, might I add.” She casually walked up to him, lifting a hand to run the tips of her fingers along his strong jawline. “I missed you too.” She muttered softly with a suggestive undertone.
“Of course I missed you the most, Shock. The others just aren’t as smart as you. More evil maybe, but no where near as smart.” He coyly tilted his head out of her grasp, taking a hold of her hand instead and moving ti back to her side. “Don’t touch what isn’t yours, Missy.”
pcquita :
“Now that sounds like the kind of class I’d actually want to show up to.”
“Well you can always sign up for it. I never say no to new students.”
shockfromhell :
“I can certainly point you in the right direction,” Shelia grinned mischievously at the back of Jack’s head, his question meant for the stranger in front of him.
“It’s about time you showed up. All of your ghouly gang is in town already.” He said turning around slowly.
pcquita :
“—-I thought you were gonna blow something up or do some kind of flashy experiment, honestly.”
“Well yes I am. But in class.”
astralmonarchs :
“Why do you need it for your class? But more importantly, does it blow stuff up?”
“Yes, I can make it blow stuff up if you want. Do you like stuff that bows up?”
ollicatt :
Oliver nodded in reassurance to Jack’s concern, bringing his hand up to lightly brush Jack’s. First he reminded him of Dodger, reckless of his own well-being if it meant protecting little Oliver. Now, he mimicked Rita’s motherly habits. This man reminded him of his friends- family…home. That thought alone made him feel safe with Mr. Skellington. He smiled cutely to that same thought. Oliver blinked, now sitting on the floor with his back to the desk. “W-wait…let me check you! What if you’re hurt?” He said with concern, reaching for Jack. Though with the new classroom remark, Oliver started laughing. “Isn’t that a teacher’s dream? For a new classroom or something?”
Jack did little other than wave at the boy, hoping that would be enough to sate him. Skellington didn’t often think of his own well being when something peaked his curiosity. If he wanted it, he was going to get it no matter what it is. Well, that was how it had been in Halloweentown. “God no, I have to start all over. All the things we have to buy. I doubt its in the budge. All my work, its gone thought I was really getting somewhere.” He walked out from behind the table. “It’s safe.” He didn’t look back to see what Oliver was doing, he was too busy with the charred table and dripping goop.
cosmicpiines :
“Okay, it’s not a hundred dollars… But, we do have it! I mean, it belongs to my Grunkle Ford, but what he doesn’t know…”
“Your Gru-Whos a what?” Jack’s brows furrowed. “Is it for sale or do I have to find it somewhere else? Also, have you actually doe the homework this time?”
ollicatt :
Instinctively Oliver plastered against Jack, head tucked under the man’s chin where his nose pressed into the other’s adams-apple. Weird time to notice the guy smelled like a mixture of chemicals and cologne, but he did. He noticed his hands fell to Jack’s neck during the abrupt yank into the older man’s lap- more like an awkward straddle- as well. He maneuvered a bit until he managers to slide his hands back over the man’s ears, but by this time it could be too late. No doubt they were ringing like his happen to be a bit after the second or third explosion. He couldn’t tell if he lost his sense of hearing or the bursts finally subsided. It felt familiar being protected like this. It made him think of home and honestly he didn’t want to move. Oliver didn’t realize he held his breath the whole time until he release a gust of air that heated up the man’s neck. “Is it over?” He asked, while simultaneously confirming the explosions stopped because he could hear himself.
It took Jack a while to even process that being this close might be odd for the boy, the man didn’t often think that way. There were no complaints so he wasn’t about to bring it up. “I think so.” The professor answered as he pulled back a bit to start to check Oliver over. “Are you okay? Does anything hurt? Can you hear alright?” His voice was firm as large hands moved to cup tiny cheeks and turn his head about to cheek for cuts or stray chemicals. Once he was satisfied with the young boys safety strong arms would lift the little thing from his lap, so he could set him back on the floor. “Stay here, kid. Let me check it out first, okay?” Jack was incredibly curious about what had happened this his chemicals, he hadn’t saw that coming. Inquisitive eyes took in the scene of destruction as he stood from behind the desk. “Dammit, I’m gong to need a new classroom.”
astralmonarchs :
“Um, what’s choleric acid?”
“It’s a chemical I need for my class.”
vvybie :
“… Choleric acid?”
“Yes, Choleric acid. Would you know where it is, young man?”
ollicatt :
“What-?” The boy stumbled when grabbed and ushered towards the front of the room. “What’s going on?” He asked in a little panic. The second Skellington yanked him into a crouch behind the desk he understood. “Oh god,” he agreed. Oliver inched closer to the teacher, lifting his smaller hands to cover the man’s own ears. If this happened to be a protection procedure he wanted to make sure the other would be safe too. Oliver jumped and snapped his eyes closed to the sound of a muffled explosion.
The room was eerily quiet for a second as Jacks calculating eyes looked over the cowering boy before who had, so kindly, tried to protect the mans ears as well. The man actually pulled Oliver practically into his lap, just holding the boy close to cover him from any debris that might occur. His ears were ringing as he waited to make sure the chemicals were done reacting. There were a few more, smaller bursts and pops but they were slowly dying down. He just kept the boy tucked in close, protectively, util he was completely sure that everything was okay, and even then he was hesitant. He didn’t want anyone getting hurt.
