why do so many people answer "how do i change the player's model" with either radio silence or "don't do that" like. i'm going to krill myshellf

Still a big fan of this old minecraft mod idea

in hindsight, herobrine never seemed malicious. everything widely accepted as 'canon' about him - placing redstone torches, digging tunnels, watching you from afar, building sand pyramids (and sometimes he'd be thought of as the reason behind terrain / world generation glitches or even the bug where you'd find your spawn chunks repeated, or chunks from other deleted worlds cut into your current world)... it never hurt you. he simply existed, and made things.

i can't help but wonder, did he just want a friend? did he build sand pyramids because he saw another player do it and thought they looked cool? does he only use redstone torches because he's light sensitive and the lower light levels are nicer on his eyes? does he sometimes copy the chunk your house is in because he liked your house and wanted to live in it too, but was too scared to ask you?

like, i kind of had an idea for a mod that removes all the vanilla mobs and i replace/come up with creepy new ones. i have a fun idea for the villagers :)

i want to create some vaguely hostile ultra lonely experience, which means getting rid of most passive mobs that players tend to farm. coming up with a solution to that rn.

these are very rare but they will be the only source of meat. their vines ensnare and poison their prey. which includes you btw.

It’s like a root vegetable flower mimic. If you kill it you can eat it. You don’t get a lot of time to catch it tho!

BUT! be careful.

it makes breathing noises as you get closer.

the doorman doesn't really attack you, it just gets really really close to you. and breathes into your ears. it'll only become hostile if you attack it first. moves very quickly if you're not looking at it, but moves extremely slowly if you do. not actually all that dangerous but i think it'll freak out a ton of people.
