Important to remember
In case you forgot:
You’re allowed to make mistakes
You’re allowed to get things wrong
Your past does not define you if you choose to grow from it
“
May you listen to the voice within the beat even when you are tired. When you feel yourself breaking down, may you break open instead. May every experience in life be a door that opens your heart, expands your understanding, and leads you to freedom. If you are weary, may you be aroused by passion and purpose. If you are blameful and bitter, may you be sweetened by hope and humor. If you are frightened, may you be emboldened by a big consciousness far wiser than your fear. If you are lonely, may you find love, may you find friendship. If you are lost, may you understand that we are all lost, and still we are guided—by Strange Angels and Sleeping Giants, by our better and kinder natures, by the vibrant voice within the beat. May you follow that voice, for This is the way—the hero’s journey, the life worth living, the reason we are here.

Broken Open: How Difficult Times Can Help Us Grow
What kind of a life is one without any pain? Your pain is what gives you strength. Your pain is what gives you resilience. Your pain is part of what it means to be human. To grow. To learn. To appreciate all that exists around you.

It's going to be okay!
Think some positive thoughts! You deserve some happiness in your day :)
Try looking up positive things or something that you like. Maybe talk to someone that makes you smile.
The world is a brighter place with you in it! Don’t forget that!

I’m leaving psych nursing
I am done. I took a position at an observational unit in nursing. I recently got diagnosed with bipolar II, which spun out my world but I also have a pure hatred of my unit. A year ago, I worked for a lovely unit where all the nurses loved what they did. We were more than just pill-passers but we educated, taught groups and cared for our patients. I moved to a new hospital for a new opportunity and to be closer to my fiancee’s family. I was promised I was brought on to make changes, to bring more of that magic from my closing unit to my current one. I was lied to. My current unit is toxic, blatantly disrespects patients, has no programming and is basically a holding tank. Add on the fact we have psychiatrists who admit very violent patients and a management team who gives us nothing to protect ourselves, picks favorites, and treats the hard-working nurses on the unit like shit. I can’t do it anymore. It makes me sick to go to work every day

chubby lesbians are cute. fat lesbians are beautiful. butch lesbians are amazing. hairy lesbians are radiant. trans lesbians are gorgeous. unfashionable lesbians are superb. older lesbians are powerful. lesbians who aren’t considered attractive by society are brilliant. you don’t need to fit the standards of what men find “hot” in girls to be valid as a lesbian, a girl out there is going to think you’re the best person she’s seen in her life and that’s what matters.

I’m getting married!
once I was a sad, confused 18 year old gay girl who hated myself and was just discovering myself. This September I’ll be 25 and a Mrs, a self-assured woman who knows herself, and a successful nurse. I’m so excited! I never thought this moment would come.
