Oh would you all fuck off with your bullshit? For one, they’re not inherently weapons. Many police dogs are used to locate explosives, drugs, evidence, and missing people. Some are indeed trained to attack, HOWEVER they are not used to destroy people!! These dogs are trained to protect police officers and to assist in subduing dangerous suspects. They are trained to utilize natural aggression featured in their species to DETAIN, NOT INJURE. Injuries CAN happen, sure, but that is NOT the purpose. Police dogs are not trained to attack people that aren’t a threat, or without commanded to do so.

Furthernore, as plenty of police dogs are retired and live comfortably without any severe issues with aggression. These aren’t abused animals from dog fighting rings with uncontrollable aggression. They’re specicially TRAINED to harness aggression in the appropriate times in order to defend and detain.

Stop spreading misonformation. It’s not hard to look this shit up. Here’s just a few sources that took all of not even 10 minutes to find.
