Tonight we picked up this 'pumpkin'* from Jenny in Windsor. Jenny has baskets and boxes around her place for #ringtail and #brushtail #possums. This baby brushtail lost his Mum recently and is not quite yet big enough to go solo. Linda and Peter were called out today to Morningside. A possum and her baby were on the ground just outside a unit. It was damp and we had to play the baby off the mother who was already dead. The baby possum was very stressed after losing her mother. Peter is looking after her now and will likely keep her til she is released. Some caring backpackers called today because they found a lorikeet who had flown into the glass of a telephone box. It had hit the glass hard and was dead on arrival at the vet. Hi. I started this to help Peter who I met when I had a possum at my house with terrible dermatitis.

He told me of that wildlife rescuers and carers are always needed.

I have been helping him and driving all around inner (ish) Brisbane rescuing wildlife. We've also done a bit of reuniting baby birds/possums with their parents.

I'm not always available so I started this fundraiser.

Peter makes himself available to do rescues 24/7 but needs a new gearbox.

This ring tail possum was found dead but with babies alive inside. We suspect she was hit by a car. The babies were too young to be viable without their mother looking after them.
