Hi, I'm PunkyBlooze (He/Him), I'm transmasc and a published author, illustrator, animator, and game developer! My style is inspired by western comics and cartoons as well as anime and my favorite video games. Right now, I'm working on a couple different projects, but my primary goal is finishing my first adult novel: an LGBTQ+ anti-superhero story called Geist.

About: In a futuristic, dystopian America that has been fractured by cosmic disaster & civil war, protagonist Abel rebels against the fascist rule of the new American Oligarchy and their brutal, private police force, ARES, in the city of Alastor, NY.

About: My magnum opus: The Houses of Suffering. This story follows a wraith that's pulled back from the brink of death, only to find it cannot remember who or what it is. Travelling with a mysterious woman known only as the Professor, they navigate a nightmarish world full of horrifying creatures in an effort to remedy the suffering that plagues the land and solve the mystery of the wraith's missing identity.

Content Warning: Explores themes of death, abuse, scary imagery/horror themes, graphic violence/gore, mental illness, recovery/healing, dubious sexual intent but no actual sex scenes.

About: I also have a mock-Pixar short called Roadkill that I would love to animate one day, but for now it'll have to be a short story comic. Roadkill is about a spirit who collects the bodies and souls of animals that have been killed on the road. One night, she comes across a kitten whose mother has perished and takes it along on a strange and magical trip across the city.

I've been going through a lot in my personal life over the past few months. A lot of really hard times, really painful experiences, some of the worst agony of my entire adult life. This piece is a reminder to keep going.

It started just as cityscape practice after I watched a tutorial that made painting cities look super easy (and it really was). I actually had a really good time making it too. It's true what they say, it's all about technique and with the right technique helping you to work smarter, not harder, things really do get easier.

By the end though, I realized it had no focal point and, in my sadness, I drew a little figure poised to jump to their death on the center building. But then I remembered that quote from Auron... and somehow it just turned into what it is now. A message of hope, rather than despair.

Jason Anderson

British artist Jason Anderson creates colorful abstract paintings composed of pixelated swatches of pastel-toned oil paint. Up-close, the artist’s paintings look like blocky layers of shapes and color; but, from afar, his scenes—featuring cityscapes, roads, trains, and marinas—are revealed.

Anderson began his career as a stained glass apprentice, where he worked on restoring the windows of cathedrals. He soon progressed onto designing the glass murals himself, where he learned how to break down subject matter into “jigsaws” of colored sections. This approach still shines through in his paintings today—complex scenes are brought to life with simple shapes and careful consideration to hue and tone.
