okay, lets just get this out there once and for all, I appreciate the compliments on my art style and coloring style but I am tired of people calling it "lisa frank style".
the term is so outdated at this point. if you don't know how shitty of a woman lisa frank is plz plz im begging you to do some research. for example, I wont link to the famous documentary about her because it's hosted by amazon prime video but I will link this 2 hour long deep dive, which includes not only her history of mistreating her workers but also the story of how she got a black woman evicted over wanting to blatantly rip off the interior design of her home for a lisa frank art exhibit. there's also a video directly from their perspective while this was happening. it was so incredibly sad to watch this go down in real time.
this is not a callout because everything that's been needed to say about lisa frank has already been said, all I ask is kindly please stop comparing me to her for using nostalgic colors in my art! it's not "lisa frank style", it's MY style and one that I'm proud of. at this point I'm convinced she's made her whole career and personality around taking ideas that were never hers to begin with.
no one owns rainbow, especially not a greedy, corporate, soulless white woman.
