unfortunately ya man strife is actually in some real strife right now, with the thesis being due FRIGHTENINGLY soon and my new job giving me exactly uhh zero shifts I am in somewhat of a financial desert until the christmas season starts up and I get some real work.

So I’ve had my cat for a week, and I’m absolutely in love with her.

This is Angela, or Angie for short. Her name used to be Lajila, which, I’m told, is Sanskrit for ‘Shy’. And after two days, I decided that Lajila didn’t fit her at all.

When I first went to meet her, she was so scared of the 5 yo in the house that I didn’t even really see her. But my heart did a thing, and I wanted her.

Her old foster mum told me that it took her 2 weeks for her to come out of hiding voluntarily.

Within 2 hours of her being in my house, she was old my lap purring and demanding cuddles and scratches. She slept on my bed, tucked up against me and woke me up the next morning want more scratches. She still does this actually.

She’s still a bit skittish, and is weary of my two male housemates, but I’m so honoured and happy that she’s chosen me as her human.

I’m the only one she will come up to without hesitation. I’m the only one she will sleep next to.

It’s been a week and I’m so amazed at how comfortable she is with me. And how comfortable I can see her getting my housemates. And how comfortable she is with having a space that’s her own with no loud, grabby crotch spawn trying to yank at her.

I love my baby, and I’m so glad I decided to adopt her.

As I’ve mentioned, I am a bit hard for cash. I’ve moved interstate and have had trouble finding a job. I do have an interview for a job that i am like 99% sure I’ll get, but until  then, I need a little help.

I am about negative $50 in my bank account at the moment, and I need some help to cover food costs.

I feel like a burden to the people that I am staying with (though, if it was going to be a problem, I would have stayed down south for a bit longer) and I can tell they are going out of their way to avoid me.
